I haven't started marching band yet. But my brother's theme this year is the Beatles. They're playin: Hey Jude, Drive my Car, Eleanor Rigby, and Sergeant Pepper's lonely heart club.

our homecoming theme is "heroes of the herd" (fyi our mascot is the bison) so it's basically super heroes/villians..
and for that show we're marching to batman (we're making a bat shape on the field) and we're playing the superman theme for the flag/dance team.
then for xtown we're doing a (big ugh...) micheal jackson tribute (thriller, of course, because it's the day before halloween). but i guess that's ok, because we get to dance and clap (and that's always fun.. except for when you're clapping to a song from kiss and your folder flies off of your clarinet lyre as you're clapping your hands over your head.. and then you can't find that folder and it's lost forever crying )
