Katsuko walked over to him. *is it weird if i try to comfort him?* she crouched down and put a hand on his shoulder.

Garret was shocked and he suddenly looked up at Katsuko. He stood up and ran to his bedroom, as if trying to get away from her.

Katsuko held her hand in shock. *What happened?* she asked herself.

Garret sat down on his bed and continued to cry. "Why did you have to leave me mama? Why?" He sobbed to himself.

Katsuko peeked into his room and then walked in slowly. she sat down on the bed and started to stroke his hair. *What am i doing?* she wondered. she didn't know but somehow if felt like the right thing to do. she didn't know why but she didn't want him to be sad.

Garret looked up at Katsuko in horror. "Get away!" he shouted as he got up and ran to his rec room.

Katsuko frowned. she sat dejected ly on the bed a little while longer and then returned to the living room. *I guess he wants to be alone.* she figured.

Garret curled up in a ball in a dark corner of his rec room and continued to cry.

Katsuko sat down on the couch. *What should i do?* she wondered.

Garret stood up and made his way to the entrance of the room but halfway there he stepped on a gas crystal he had left there earlier. He breathed in the gas and collapsed on the floor.

Katsuko heard Garrett fall to the floor. she opened the door and saw him lying there. she held her breath against the gas and dragged him out.
