((That makes me sad. HOW COULD THEY?! Haha. My mom and I were gonna go see it on Christmas...but we never did. D: ))

Abel was either completely oblivious to the waitresses overly kind gestures, or he was trying to ignore it. Either way he continued to smile and say his please and thank yous whenever she'd came over and make sure everything was okay, if he was enjoying his meal, if he needed more water, and the usual stuff they asked.

When everyone else finished, Abel had eaten half his meal, but wasn't really hungry anymore. "It was rather delicious." He said in return and smiled, taking a drink of his water and moving from his seat. "Thank you." As he rounded the table he glanced to the side and noticed a vase of flowers on an empty booth. Carefully he picked a rose from the arrangement and placed it on the table for the waitress. He figured he should give her some sort of tip...even if it was a flower that would die in a week's time.

"No school tomorrow?" He asked, though he guessed it wouldn't have mattered anyways with Talen, knowing something would come up and they'd never make it to school. His gaze flickered over to the windows as he noticed a figure standing outside, back towards the building. His heart dropped and he pulled out his cell phone. The calls had stopped...and he already knew the reason. "He can't just..." He rubbed his face and put the phone back.

"Is there a back way out of here?"

((Hahaha. Sneaky sneaky little Abel.))

((LOL. I HAVE TO WAEK UP AT SEVEN TOMORROW... And I go back to school Monday.

... J. I dun wanna. :C ))

Talen glanced at Abel sideways at his comment. "Excuse me?"

Alice paused at the exit eyebrows raised. "We not leaving yet?"

Talen was smirking now. "Why would YOU need to sneak out the back? Have the tables been turned? I smell..." He sniffed at Abel's shoulder. He widened his eyes and looked at him sideways. "Juvenile Delinquency... I smell... hypocrisy... I smmeeeeellll... a boy running from his problems." He seemed very pleased. "Who is it? Can I meet the man who drove you to this? I'd REALLY like to shake his hand."

Alice smiled uncertainly. "Something wrong?"

((LOL SHOWER.))

((I GO BACK MONDAY TOO MAN. SO DEPRESSED. I'm gonna be a zombie...having to wake up at 6 again. D: MAN. OH MAN. So sad...))

Abel furrowed his brows as Talen teased him and he pushed at Talen gently, making a pout. "Stop that." He muttered and then glanced out the window, watching the figure stand still, an arm moving to check something on his wrist than glancing to the side. "I'm not...running away...just avoiding them for a little bit." His face twisted and he breathed out. He knew he'd have to face Gabriel sooner or later, but he just wanted to forget about stuff right now.

He glanced towards Alice and shook his head. "Nothing's wrong. I just..." A finger tugged at a blonde curl as he debated what he should do. He hated trying to talk to Gabriel. The guy had to have his way or no way at all. And if Gabriel actually CAME here...it had to be something bad. Abel didn't want to have anything more piled on top of a growing mountain of troubles.

"Please...is there another exit? I just don't want to have to deal with this stuff right now. And you really don't want to meet him. Not now anyways. He'll be pretty...well he won't be very nice if he's gone out of his way just to talk to me. If he's not in the mood, he won't be kind to me, especially not anyone else." He said, trying to persuade Talen to go another way than out the front doors.

((THERE.

Next post...next post...we have to prepare ourselves for Gabe's amazing COOLNESS. Haha.))
PostPosted: Sat Jan 03, 2009 10:26 pm

((Hahaah, bleeeh school. AND LOL OKAY. GO.))

Talen let up a little and pretended to pout. "You're no fun." He remarked.

"Lay off, Talen." Alice said and gripping Abel's arm as she brushed passed she lead the way back deeper into the restaurant. "We'll use the kitchens." She said.

Talen tripped a little from turning so quickly. "Wait up! Geesh!" He called and trailed after them.

Once at the kitchen doors she simply pushed her way through. As fast as they moved through no one really seemed to mind. Act like nothing was out of the ordinary, and no one seemed to notice. A cook flipping a few burgers glanced up briefly, but otherwise paid the trio little mind.

Talen thought his sister was crazy.

Moments later they were out the back door and into an alley where a waitress on her break was smoking. She looked at them oddly, shrugged and snuffed out her cigarette before returning back inside.

"There." Alice said and released Abel's arm. "Ta dah!"

"You're INSANE." Talen remarked.

((OKAY.))

((MAN. Well at least I have art this semester, so I've got a class I can relax in. D: And thank GOD it's not AP. Hahaha. AP WAS HELL last year man. So glad that is over with and done. I had so much art stuff going on last year, it totally pooped me out.

It pooped. me. out.))

Abel smiled thankfully when Alice led them out through the back. As they passed cooks and waitresses, Abel smiled and waved to them when they'd look up, marveling at how the kitchen in the back worked, sounds everywhere.

When they got outside, Abel let out a breath of air and relaxed noticeably. "Thank you so much." He said, looking at Alice and then over to Talen at his remark. He let out a soft laugh and pushed some hair from his face and looked up to notice the sun setting faster than before.

"He'll find me. I just kind of want to talk to him later. He's a real-"

"Abel." A voice came from behind the group, as if materializing in thin air.

Abel yelled out and jumped off the ground. A hand grabbed his shoulder and he froze up. The hand turned Abel around and he looked up to stare into a pair of dark, piercing blue eyes. The eyes seemed to float in the air, but if one looked harder they'd see they were attached to a very dark skinned body.

"Your phone must be broken." The darkness said, white teeth flashing as lips moved. Finally the man stepped out from the shadows to reveal a stunningly handsome man, in his late twenties or early thirties.

His face had a squared jaw line and high cheek bones, his nose was somewhat short, but it didn't take away from how handsome he looked. His dark coal skin showed on top of his head, which was either shaved, or just grew no hair. He stood well above all three of the others, obviously built for basketball, or another sport that required tall black men to play it.

"You need me to fix your phone?" He said, though it was obvious he knew Abel did not break his phone. "Let me see it."

"N...nnnnnn..." Abel said, eyes looking at everything BUT the man's eyes. "Ahhhhhhh...we..."

"Your phone."

"My...mmmm..." Abel slowly pulled out his phone and placed it in the man's hand.

"As I thought."

"I can explain, Gabriel!" Abel finally gasped out but Gabriel was already walking away, going where he knew the group was headed. "Ah..." Abel said and looked to Alice and Talen. Slowly he began to follow after the black man, hands moving nervously together, head lowered, and shoulders pushed forward.

((Hahaha. CAUGHT RED HANDED.))

((LOOOL.... I'm really tired... :C and yeeeah... AP is a lot of... yeeeah... hahaha, GOD I'm SO tired. Morning shifts at work suck. I can't do a single thing afterwards.))

Talen and Alice, to say in the least, were a little startled by the voice that seemingly came out of no where. Talen had grabbed Alice's shoulder, and now that she could see who it was and where it came from she gave her brother a look and shrugged his hand off. He gave a laugh and rubbed at his head.

"Sorry... you know how I feel about cheshire cats." He said.

Alice shook her head a little and trailed after Abel.

Talen glanced around for a few moments more before following after his sister.

"Gabriel? It's Gabriel, right? I can call you that?" Alice asked picking up her pace to match his steps. "Where exactly are we going?"

Talen rubbed at his eyes some ways behind them.

((lol. I'm going to go lay down... again.))

((Your poor thing! I went shopping and get beauty supplies. I went into a store called Sephora and it was like heaven. THEY HAD EVERYTHING AND I WAS SO EXCITED. YEAH.

And I also got MAC Eyeshadow...which is amazing stufffff.

Yeah I'm a girl. D: ))

Abel stared at his feet as they walked.

Gabriel stared in front, towards where they were headed. His eyes than flickered to the side as Alice came beside him. He watched her carefully and then smiled as he looked away. "Gabriel is fine. And we're going to your house. I was suspecting that's where you were headed?" He said in a relaxed manner "I apologize if my appearance is unexpected. Abel and I simply need to talk, than I'll be on my way again."

Abel sighed behind Gabriel and felt the man's eyes harden. "I can hear you." Gabriel said and Abel sighed even more. Gabriel shook his head as they got a black jaguar car.

"There should be room for you two." He said to Alice as he opened the door for her and the others to get in.

Abel stayed beside Talen and watched Gabriel. "Where in the world did you find time to get a car?"

"You act like I never visit." He said and raised a brow.

"Well I figured-"

"I had time. I actually come here often. You know, to check on things."

"Yeah...but I was wondering...where's Hans?"

"We can talk after we get your friends home."

Abel lowered his eyes and carefully slipped into the back seat of the jaguar, obviously trying to not have to sit next to Gabriel.

((Hahaha. He's a rich man. Oh yesssss.))

((Ewwww... girlie things. Hahaha. I never wear makeup... like... ever.... mostly because I really don't need it... *wonders* Not that YOU need it, but I'd only ever wear it if I NEEDED it. *laughs* Like if my eyelashes were too light or something. *shruuugs*))

Alice nodded slowly and then shrugged. "Alright." She agreed, seeing no real harm in that. Stranger things had happened to her lately.

When they arrived at the car Alice and Talen both gave a low, impressed whistle and exchanged looks.

"SHOT GUN." Alice said before Talen could even open his mouth.

He gave his sister a playful kick and slid in carefully next to Abel.

Alice did a victory dance to the front seat and slid in herself.

((hahaha. yaaaay.))

((Haha I don't need it. I just like playnig with it. xD Anyways...it does make me look better, it also makes me feel more confident. D: I dunno. Like I hate how I feel without it cause I feel ugly...despite...yeah.))

Abel laughed a bit as Alice and Talen both tried to get the front seat, Alice winning. Abel followed Talen with his eyes as the boy slid in next to Abel. His eyes than moved to Gabriel as he closed the doors and walked around the car, slipping on his expensive looking sunglasses again.

The tall man got into the car after fishing out some keys and closed the door. He adjusted the mirror slightly so he'd see Abel before he started the car. It purred. It was nearly immaculate inside, outside, and under the hood. Gabriel carefully moved the car out onto the street and started off down the road.

Now Abel had seen these beasts everywhere, zooming up and down roads like no one's business, but he had never been inside one. It was like a carriage or buggy...except without horses, and ten million times faster. Abel's face twisted in fear as he gripped the door handle, eyes narrowing as he felt his stomach lurch. When Gabriel turned a corner he gasped and nearly toppled into Talen. There were reasons Abel walked everywhere, even in his own world and time...he hated being in motion when his feet weren't moving. To him it did not feel natural...because it wasn't natural.

Gabriel glanced in the mirror and frowned as he slowed down and turned the radio on to drown out the noise outside of the car. "Close your eyes, Abel."

"I'm fine." Abel groaned from the back as his face paled. "Really..."

"I said close your eyes."

Abel narrowed them at Gabriel instead and took a gasping breath like a fish out of water, it only made his stomach tighten more.

"Close. Your. Eyes." Gabriel snapped finally and Abel slowly closed them, knowing it was no use arguing. "Thank you. You're so obedient aren't you?" He muttered sarcastically, the two of them seemingly like bickering brothers than anything. "I really don't get why you're angry at me. Actually why you are frustrated with me. You don't get angry I don't think that's possible with you."

Abel's lips tightened as he squinted his eyes shut tighter. "I'm not..."

"I only am looking out for you, Abel."

"I know." Abel said quietly from the back seat and then leaned forward, resting his forehead against Gabriel's head rest. "I'm just...I'm...I..."

"Overwhelmed." Gabriel said gently as they got to a red light. At his statement Abel was quiet. Abel tilted his head away from Talen's view as he breathed in. "Sorry, I guess this isn't the place to talk about this. It's rude to your friends." As the light turned green the two angels remained dead silent, Abel making a few noises that one might make if motion sick, while Gabriel made not a single sound, even his movements were silent.

((And so they drove. Driving was fun, except Abel wanted to throw chunks...and jump out of the car because he was scared they were going to die in a flaming car crash.

And they did.

LAWLS. No. They got to the house in one piece...))

By the time Gabriel pulled up to the house, Abel had fallen asleep, mouth open half way as he breathed softly. Gabriel silently turned the car off and sat still for a moment before he looked over to Alice, smiling politely, his white teeth bright against his dark skin. "I can carry him in...but if you don't mind...I'd like to stay with him for the night. I feel like I'd waste my visit not actually talking to him." He got out of the car and moved to the side, opening Alice and Talen's door.

((LOL. OKAY. THIS IS ME POSTING. WATCH MEEEE.. WWAAAATCH.......HHH.))

Talen and Alice remained completely silent in the midst of the duos conversation. It was none of their business. They instead both took to looking out their windows, pretending they couldn't hear them at all. They were both relieved when they decided to quit.

Once back at their home Alice smiled at Gabriel. "Of course." She said. Who was she to say no? He was an angel after all. She didn't know what sort of repercussions there were for saying no, but she wasn't too curious to find out.

She smiled again as she was let out of the car, casting it one more impressed glance, before heading back towards the house. She pulled her house keys from her coat pocket and hopped up the steps two by two.

Talen grinned when Gabriel opened the door. "Take it easy on him, huh?" He said of the sleeping angel and slid out. "I've kinda... It's my fault. I'm wearing the guy out, seriously. So... if you really need to blame anyone, you can go ahead and blame me." He said, rubbing at the back of his head. "It's really not his fault, whatever it is." And he moved more out of the way, glancing back at Abel a few times as he headed to join his sister at the door.

Gabriel leaned over Abel and easily slid the boy into his arms. Hefting him out of the car, he used his foot to shut the door and follow after Talen and Alice as they moved to the house.

"You didn't ask him to do anything." Gabriel said simply as he watched Alice pull her keys out of her pocket. "And it's much more than some simple mishaps. He's being reckless with himself. I do believe he's been like that for years though. It's not your fault." He said quietly, so not to wake Abel, who's head was tilted back, arms and legs dangling. It was obvious he was as tired as sin...if sin were to get tired. He wasn't to be waking up any time soon.

He shifted Abel in his arms slightly, the two of them nearly opposites in every way. It was one of those posters a teacher might hang on their walls to promote diversity and willingness to accept others. Abel sighed slightly and tilted his head to the side, face scrunching up for a moment before relaxing. Gabriel looked down at him and shook his head.

There was silence as they stood in front of the door, except for the soft breathing of the sleeping boy. Suddenly Gabriel looked up and over to Talen with a smile. "I guess I should thank you before I forget. I doubt he could have found anyone better to have stayed with. Even if you two are slightly unstable, you're good people." He said with a laugh and turned his head. Something about his statement seemed absolute...as if this were the last night Abel would be there. As if in any second the two of them would be gone forever.

((*gasps* WHAT?

...hahaha. Gabriel is a bit awkward...sorry.))
PostPosted: Mon Jan 05, 2009 8:11 pm

((... hahahaha, awkward is BEST. D: AND WAIT. WHAT?))

Talen leaned against the railing as his sister struggled with the keys. He tilted his head at Gabriel at this weird statement.

"Where are you taking him?" He said suddenly.

Alice had managed to open the door but turned to look at her brother.

"If we're so great... you're not going to take him anywhere are you? What's wrong with him?" He shot off, temper slightly flared.

Alice grasped at her brother's shoulder. "Talen. I wouldn't." She said. "I mean..."

"But what if HE IS taking him somewhere?" He looked back at his sister. His eyebrows were furrowed together. It was obvious he was more upset than mad. "What if that's what he came here for?!"

"You don't know that." She said softly as she could. "I'm sorry... he just..." And she couldn't really explain it. "I'm sorry." She said again. She took her brother by his forearm and led him back through the door. "Come in, huh? He must be getting heavy... not that he weighs anything. Hardly eats."

((hahaha, Talen has separation issues, apparently.. and all for good reasons D:<... I'm sure... *laughs*))

((Hahaha. He's awkward in that manly cool way. Like "what, I don't have to say ANYTHING cause I am THAT cool." ))

Gabriel's eyes remained in front of him as Talen looked over, he could hear the questions already in his ears before Talen even opened his mouth. When Talen did speak, he down to the boy with his placid face, a face that was both charming, handsome, calming, and frightening at the same time. It was a face that was good and whole but hiding many truths that weren't ever to be said.

Abel's fingers twitched slightly when Talen started to get upset and his brows furrowed, though he still slept soundly in Gabriel's arms.

"Why I came here is none of your business in the first place. It's Abel's. And also, you shouldn't get yourself so attached to this boy. He'll have to leave eventually, getting attached only makes it harder on both parts." Gabriel said sternly than looked to Alice when she took Talen and led him inside.

"Thank you." Gabriel said patiently. "He's light as a feather actually." He said with a pleasing smile. When they moved into the living room, Gabriel laid Abel down onto the couch. When the boy was down, he shifted onto his side and let his limbs land where they wanted.
PostPosted: Tue Jan 06, 2009 3:58 pm

((BREAK TIIME... LOL. *types*))

Talen frowned deeply at his words, his eyebrows drawing together in an angry line. His words had irked him. He knew better than anyone that Abel would have to leave, and that hurt him somehow, but he'd be damned if some angel was going to tell him that and then chastise him for getting attached. It was what Talen did, what anyone would have done. It was the most human thing in the world to come to depend on someone being there; like a brother, like family.

He followed after him into the living room, but kept his voice low: "I don't give a s**t who you might be... but Abel might have to leave, but WHEN that happens that's for him to decide." He growled. "Not someone like you."

And turning he left him, pushing passed his sister gently. "Talen!" She said in a voice that normally would have stopped him. She heard his feet lightly tread their way up the steps. She looked to the new angel and rubbed at her arms as if she were cold. She didn't apologize this time.

"You're NOT taking him anywhere are you?"

((HAHAHA. I have a tendency to make characters who can do that to people. It's weird. Like I make characters who are REALLY likable and then I also make characters who you want to punch in the face.

I'm good at it I guess. I think because it doesn't bother me if people don't like them. xD It's...yeah!

BUT. I am GLAD. >:[ You can't have characters getting along all the time!))

Gabriel's cold eyes followed Talen as he came over to him and snapped at him. A look crossed his eyes, one that could have read either pity, regret, or anger. "He's not the one who decided for him to come here and he won't be the one to decides when he leaves here either." He said calmly as Talen left.

When Alice looked over to him and spoke, he looked away and watched Abel sleep, his eyes now unreadable. "It's undecided..." He responded, his voice not as calm as it had been with Talen. "It's not up to me whether or not to take him. I only do the work that is given to me. And I was told by my council that Abel may not be a good candidate to handle the stuff he has been pushing himself into. He's a good kid, he's got a good head on his shoulders, but he's way to susceptible to letting people walk over him left and right. And unfortunately, it's those people that usually get hurt the worse in the world you live in."

He slowly sat down in one of the chairs and rubbed at his forehead for a moment. "You should get some sleep, Alice." He closed his head and leaned back. "Don't worry about Abel, whatever happens, it's for the best."
