The gun swung out the side, away from Michael and at Marten, who was now mostly cover-deprived.

Michael stared at the thing. How could he bring it down? They needed someone else to assault it. The other guy, even if his ring didn't work, he could manually pull wires. "Other guy! Jacobo, whatever!" Michael shouted. "Do something! Get past it and pull some wires!"

Marten ran at such an angle that he stayed ahead of its line of fire, as well as getting closer to cover by running almost within reach of the gearbox.
He slid low behind an island in the counter. He crouched against the floor, tense.

A buzz saw emerged from the Gearbox on Marten's side and swung at him.

Jacobo swore, "Rip out it's damn wires? Who the ******** do you think I am?" he retorted, he wasn't really good at hand-to-hand, at least not with a gearbox.
"At least give me a knife or somethin'!"

"I don't have a knife!" Michael roared. "Distract it then! Let me take care of it!" This seemed more plausible, he supposed; he was larger and probably stronger. He would just take fistfuls of wires and tug, grab circuit boards; he'd cut up his hands but it'd be worth it to not get his guts cut up.

"That makes more sense." Jacobo muttered as he picked up a handful of pebbles and debris, "Hey! Pendejo!" he called out to the gearbox as he chucked the handful at the thing.

The gearbox swung an axe in his general direction, but it missed by quite a bit. Well, it could've turned out worse.

Marten scrambled wildly to avoid being bisected. This kind of dodging meant he could do nothing to help.
"Hurry!" he said, trying to keep its focus.

Michael tried moving forward, looking for a way to climb onto it. It wasn't going to be easy.

The only readily available way to climb would be to mount using a leg - hopefully stable - and begin moving, very quickly, across the gears, wires, and circuitboards. The rest of it was totally smooth.
Of course, all of those handholds and footholds were rather dangerous options.

Michael shrugged and went for it, throwing himself onto a leg that looked to be on the ground and trying to reach whatever he could to damage. He also did his best to shoot out circuit boards, since he seemed to be vaguely in the clear.

In an attempt to get the gearbox's attention, Jacobo began to form the machine gun.
Even if he couldn't fire it, he hoped that at least the vague sight of it would distract it.
