The echidna preformed a thrilling leap, as if he was about to bellyflop on the ground. But instead, he began gliding. Flames left the vent in his back. He shot through the trees at an unanticipating speed, literally. They fell down like dominoes wherever he went.

Aizel ground to a halt and turned back when he heard the disturbance behind him. He saw the toppling trees, and stifled an expletive.
Facing forwards again, he took off once more, trying to run even faster than before.

The forest began to clear up a little, as there was not as much foilage as before. Mits was trailing behind the Hedgerobo. "Race over to Isle de Gambino? How does that sound?" He called over, punching a tree out of his way.

'Sounds good to me!' Aizel called over his shoulder. If they raced to the isle, then once they got there, he might just be able to find his way back to the facility again.
He tried to dive underneath a large branch that was hanging in his path, and crashlanded on his stomach again. He corrected himself, and continued sprinting.

His vent ceased creating fires, and he got back on the land again. But his metal shoes were on fire by then. Everywhere he stepped the grass turned burnt. The trees cleared up, and the sea could be visible just beyond a few bushes.
(( Should I change the name of this thread because technically, we aren't going to be in the forest anymore? xD ))

He risked another look over his shoulder, and spotted the trail of fire that was being left in the echidna's wake.
'Damn,' he muttered, and felt a slight surge of relief when he too noticed the sparkling blue ocean, pressing forever on towards it.
((Well, the vast majority of the RP's been in the forest clearing, so I'd say it's still a valid name xD))

"We might run across the entire world of Gaia if we go on the ocean.. oh well." He said to himself, stepping over a woody root. The tree that harbored the root set on fire. "Oh f.. ah well."
The bounds of the forest were about to end.
(( I'll keep the Forest Clearing in the title, i'll just add an extra thingy to the end =P ))

'I hope you're implying that I can swim faster!' Aizel called, turning his head slightly, just catching sight of a flame in his peripheral vision.

The bushes were the only obstacle left to cross. Just past that little piece of foilage and you'll be seeing the vast ocean..

Aizel tore past the bushes, hurtling towards the sea. When he reached the water's edge, he threw himself forwards, diving into it.

"What are you doing?!" Mits' voice shouted. A red blur was skimming across the water by running. He was running in random circles.
