You know you're old when you go through this thread from begining to end and realize that you remember all this stuff through a fog of time thicker than pea soup.
you know you're old when that makes perfect sense.

…you remember cartoons like Jabber jaw, Caption Caveman …&son, Speed Buggy, Josie & the p***y Cats, & when Betty Boop had red hair.
…you grew up in a house with only 1 phone that not only was attached to the wall but was a rotary dial (and you thought you were lucky cuz not every house had a phone).
…you watched Opie Taylor grow into Ritchie Cuttingham.

You know your old when you remember how everyone would close there shops on every sunday to either go to church or just have the day off to rest.

(though i was flattered that she asked me and not the 19 year old standing next to me)

LOL True true! That's happened to me, too! Yeah, the guy I asked out was about 22 years-old. Silly me. We have an age difference of about 5 years.

I love The Oregon Trail game! It was awesome! There's sites on the net that have it to play, too! I love it!
You know you're getting old when you can constantly tell your friends that they are just "going through a phase" because of their age. lol It happens all of the time. They think I'm crazy, but I totally know what they are going through!

Renton-san You know your old when... you remember everything about the original Transformers cartoon. My roommate just had his 28th birthday last month. He came into some money through an inheritance a few months ago, and he spent about $5000 on Transformers. He has some G1's and some G1 remakes.... I don't really pay attention to him when he talks about them, because I'm only 23 and don't remember them as much as he does.

I see these kids bringing all that crap back, and want to ask if their moms are making them wear them too. OH! And the side ponytail - gotta love it. You know you're old when balancing your check book constitutes a good night. Yes! Down to the last penny! (when did we stop going out and start staying in every weekend?? I'm too old and can't remember!)

I had a mini dress with the cut up sweat shirt look. And spiked heels. You know your old when...you remember running homr from college to watch "Star Blazers" on TV.

sturtyt you can create a .bat file from the DOS Prompt You know you're old when you know what a DOS Prompt is. You know you're old when... ...you're less concerned with how a video game looks and more how it plays. ...you're perfectly fine playing board games or card games over video games. ...you become something of a homebody and it doesn't bother you in the least. ...you're less concerned with going out and more concerned with the cost of going out.
