((First post in HQ since time skip~))
Back from her rounds, she trudged up the path to the head quarters, reaching into her pocket for the key. Sliding it into the hole and turning it, the telltale click alerting one of the unlocking door, Yumi swung open the door, leaving it ajar a moment before striding in, swiping out her key and slamming it in a fluid motion, the frame shuddering at the sudden force.
Pulling off her tattered blue scarf, former cloak but now torn in too many places and tossing it on a nearby arm chair, the young Quincy made her way towards the kitchen. Grabbing the handle she opened the fridge, and after a quick survey of the contents picked out an apple, and closed the refrigerator promptly. Breathing on it softly and polishing it on her pant leg, she bit into it, cradling the fruit in her left hand's fingertips. She sighed, looking around the empty room and out into the silent hallway. It was so quiet in here lately.

Humming a tune she couldn't remember the words to, Yumi wandered to the stairs to the basement of the house. Pausing a moment as she grabbed the rail along the staircase, she descended to the lower level of the building. The darkness was stifling, and reaching along the side of the wall her gloved hands sought out and found the light switch.
The walls were covered in weapons, armour, battle outfits, and all sorts of stuff Quincy over the years had kept. Yumi didn't know much about most of these things, and had used to have a fascination with them. Walking through the room she stopped at a shelf laden with spell tubes. Little instructions and incantations were listed near each as though a catalog. Taking one in hand she raised a brow, wondering how it worked. She'd seen others use these in the past but she herself had never tried. Biting her lip and glancing around, even though clearly no one was watching she snatched up 4 of the nearest ones, and tossed two in each of her side pockets on her cargo pants, with the incantations as well. They were worth a shot in a fix she guessed.
Turning and heading back towards the stairs she turned off the light and the Quincy gear was once again shrouded in the dark.

So this is where the Quincy clan has set up their base of operations... thought the black cloaked young man as he entered the Quincy House.
It was quite dark in the building, but his eyes naturally adjusted to the darkness allowing him to see all the furniture, paintings, and other miscellaneous ornaments. He wondered whether any Quincy was living here at the moment, but by the way the place creaked and cracked at every step he took, it seemed unlikely.
As he was about make a full turn-about and leave the house, he saw a flash of light a couple of doors down the first hallway. A small smirk made its way onto his almost flawless face.
Quite interesting... he thought as he removed his quincy cross off of his neck and wrapped it around his left wrist.
Collecting reishi from all around the building, a flicker of gray light erupted from the cross before dying down as quickly as it had appeared. This was going to be fun. The man slowly creeped down the hallway avoiding any loose floor board along the way. When he was two doors down from the open door, the light was extinguished. This caught him off guard causing him to step on one of the loose floor boards, which in turn made the loudest creaking sound possible.
"s**t..."he cursed at himself under his breath before jumping into the closest room and crouching behind the door frame. This would be where he would await for the person or persons to appear out of the presumed room. Then he would ambush them.
[Didn't want to use my name until we meet, so it's more of a mystery now! xD]

Walking up the stairs Yumi stopped dead in her tracks. As she had flicked off the lights she had definitely heard movement and a creak in the floor upstairs. An intruder... Clenching her hands into fists, she paused where she was for a moment. Then an ever so slight grin came to her face. This burglar or whatever he was picked the wrong home.
With out more than another step she disappeared, using hirenkyaku, and appeared in the hallway. No one was in sight, and going on the defensive Yumi raised her right arm and called out her sanrei bow in a flash, the royal blue and white frame constructing itself in a flash. Eyes darting about, she called out, "Show yourself!"

A girl? Maybe there's a way to get out of a fight... the Quincy thought as he continued to hide behind the door frame.
Focusing reishi once more into his celtic like cross, a steel gray particle longbow formed around his left wrist. Releasing a light sigh, he slowly stood up and peaked around the corner towards the girl.
"Put your bow down! I dont want to to hurt you, but I will if I have to!" he exclaimed letting a bit of his gray particle bow show in order to gain some trust.
Let's see how she takes the good guy act...

Sensing the danger in the building, Tansen quickly entered the Quincy mansion through the open door, making sure to keep his reiatsu hidden as he moved along. Sensing the two hostile reiatsu's, one of which he was familliar with, the young shinigami calmly Shunpo'd over behind the mysterious Quincy and lightly put his hand over the young man's spirit bow.
"...I wouldn't do that if I were you. Unless she's had a complete mood change in the last three years, you won't last five minutes against her."
Stepping back, the young man calmly placed his hand on the emerald green hilt of his Zanpakutou, though hoping that he wouldn' need it. Standing tall at 6'1 and with his Captain's hayori flapping behind him, Tansen tried not to look hostile as he raised his voice for Yumi to hear.
"Neither of us will give you any trouble, Yumi. So will you please come out? I need to speak with you, it's an emergency."

As the intruder showed himself from around the corner of a doorway, Yumi adjusted her aim towards where he stood. Seeing his bow her brows furrowed. What the hell was he thinking calling out his bow for offense in somewhere without Hollows. It was disgusting. Yumi wouldn't have drawn hers without a threat. About to speak she stopped as another figure appeared behind him. Well this is interesting...
The shinigami, a captain no less looked familiar, took her a moment to place him. Holding her aim to the spot still, her bow hand unfaltering, free hand at the ready to loose an arrow in an instant, she listened to what he had to say. "Doubt you can speak for him, the sneaky little scum he seems to be, creeping around the building..." Pausing she finally matched the face of the shinigami to a memory. "Wait, you... you're that shinigami that came here when all hell broke loose with the hollows a few years back. What do you mean emergency?" Emergency seems to be this guy's ticket...

[You kinda drew your bow first when in your last post xD No worries though lol]
"Scum?! You're the one who drew her bow out and yelled for me to come out! The reason I came here was because I heard that this was the place where I could find another Quincy, but I guess this is your idea of a warm welcome!" he yelled out a bit frustrated with the fact of being called scum, not to metion the Shinigam Captain behind him had already annoyed him with his interference along with touching his clothing.
Turning around to face the new arrival, Vergil released his focused reishi and withdrew his bow, "Thanks for the advice, but dont underestimate me pease." he said forming a sincere smile.
I wonder what this guy means by emergency...

Trying to give an apologetic smile to the miffed young man, Tansen only succeeded in making himself look a little deranged and scary. Clearing his throat, the young captain wiped the look from his features and put on his game face.
"If you two would be so kind as to calm down, I'll explain the situation. I'm sure that you've noticed the horrid increase in hollow lately, correct? The arrancar defeated the Gotei Thirteen three years ago and have taken over Soul Society..."
The look on the Tansen face was grim as he folded his arms across his chest and continued speaking. It was a painful subject to talk about, especially since he was partly to blame for the shinigami's downfall.
"...However, all of our forces are gathering here once more for a final stand. So far, the odds are pretty even as to who will win. It's going to be a close fight. I came here to ask for your assistance in defeating them. I'm constructing special pillars to replace this Karakura with a special replica in order to keep civillians safe while the fighting is going on. I need someone to guard the last pillar, and I think it should be you, Yumi. I know this is sudden, but innocent people could die if you don't help us. Will you please fight alongside us once more?"

"Scum sounds about right for someone who just walks into someone's house and makes their self at home without even knocking. Where's common courtesy in this day and age, hmm?" Looking at the kid now he seemed close to her age, but had an odd foreign look to him. His expression didn't seem all that happy either. Too bad for him. At his words to the shinigami, she rolled her eyes. "Pfft."
Turning her attention back to the shinigami with the white hair once again, she listened, her bow still out as a precaution up she heard it all. Seems a lot more had happened in these quieter years than expected. She should have know, quiet was fine, but too quiet was never any good.
As he finished she let her bow's form dissipate, her sanrei glove returning to its normal form. "Sounds like the lot of you in Soul Society are in your fair share of hot water, so firstly, you're forgiven for also coming in without knocking," she said at first, raising a brow, trying to make sure her point came across as to why her defenses were lowered. "Now let's to say that I do this, what sort of forces are you to expect in the way of forces will be coming at us guarding these pillars? I'm all for protecting the citizens, but I could very well attempt that without joining your forces." Her hands went to her hips, and she leant to the left slightly. Her expression kept its raised brow and tight mouth. "Well?"

((Thanks a bunch. I don't care what the others say about you, you're a pretty swell guy XD))
Disregarding Yumi's comment about not knocking, Tansen unfolded his arms and let them fall to his sides, away from his sword so as not to appear shifty.
"Most of our forces will be concentrating on taking out the hollow leaders before they can do any severe damage, so the pillars will most likely be attacked by their subordinates. They are high-level arrancar, and not to be underestimated. The pillars will only have one guardian each, but they are highly skilled warriors capable of defeating most enemies under captain-class. As for you being able to protect them on your own..."
Tansen looked Yumi directly in the eye as he chose his words carefully. He wanted to be aboslutely sure that the bossy Quincy knew just how serious the battle to come would be, but also didn't want to lose a potential ally.
...Don't be ridiculous. This isn't a simple fight, it's a full out war. If we're to have any chance of protecting the citizens, we need to work together to protect those pillars from harm. This isn't the time to be letting your strength go to your head, or hesitate to act because who we are. The Quincy, the Shinigami, none of that matters right now. You're either willing to put your life on the line for this or not. There are going to be amny casualties in this war, all I'm asking is that you help keep the number to a minimum. Will you help us?"

Sonia appeared at Tansen's side, dressed in the traditional Shinigami uniform the blond haired young woman was obviously with the captain. "Are you alright Tansen? I felt hostile reiatsu a moment ago." the young woman asked as she glanced at the young man standing beside her captain and the other Quincy down the hall. "I apologize for intruding in your home, but I thought there might have been a problem." Sonia called out to the other woman down the hall. Glancing at her Captain, she fixed him with a pointed glare, "You know I can't Shunpo as fast you yet, you couldn't hold up for a couple more seconds could you?" She said a in very low voice. Tucking a stray lock of hair behind her ear she stood up and gave a polite bow to Yumi, "I'm sure the Captain has explained the situation, we beg your aid."

Gritting her teeth a little as he spoke, Yumi betrayed nothing else on her outside, listening intent enough to catch every detail necessary. Despite her attitude, she did care to know about these things. She was mostly annoyed to have heard nothing of this situation for these years and have someone contact their faction out of the blue when they were on the brink of war. If they wanted allies they could have been proactive. Still, this was someone who came, though not in the most entreating fashion. As he spoke of her letting her strength go to her head her expression changed to one of a silent outrage, but she waited for him to finish.
"I'm honestly insulted at what you assume. You think what I said there was supposed to be a high and mighty haughtiness or what? I'm hearing you out, and weighing this fairly as anyone who's faction that has been left out of a loop and then suddenly told of a whole new disaster that's been years in the making right before the detonation goes off, I'd say!" She threw a punch at the wall beside her, letting the thud resound in the thin wall before continuing. "I understand the seriousness here, it it will let you shut up your self righteousness, I'll have you know I was more than ready to accept, I more doubt your trust in my strength. Our clan is deteriorated, so I have to strive for it despite everything else. There's you answer, and its only for the citizens, not you secretive shinigami," She retorted, face flushed red.
She ignore the lieutenant through the time she came in and onward, not in the mood to deal with another one who was only spewing the same nonsense.
