"The first memory I have is the day all this undead stuff started. I woke up in a surgical room... Everything was white and one of the walls was nothing but glass. On the gurney beside me were the clothes I am wearing now, and the weapons I fight with. I don't know how I know... But I know that my clothes' threads are coated in a special poly-compound to prevent wear and tear. And my weapons were made by mixing the metal with a special synthetic mixture, for optimal damage with minimal force... My first encounter with a zombie was right after I left the building. It was just one, and it was all by itself. But I took it out without even thinking about, and I took off its head in one blow without knowing why. I soon discovered that I had been 'upgraded' in a sense. I was stronger, faster, more flexibile, and able to last longer in battle then normal poeple. I seemed to match perfectly with the way zombies acted, it was like I was made for nothing else but to destroy the undead.... I fought the one pulling the strings behind today's attack. I fought him." Kay threw down the hand-made sword she had taken from Number 9 in front of the others. "He knew me...or at least whoever was controlling him. And I don't know why...But somehow I KNOW. That the person that changed me. The person that set lose this virus. The person making and controlling these smart zombies. That person is the same person...That attack today was a test for me, whoever this guy is testing me... watching me." she let that sink in. "So if you all would feel more comfortable without me in your group I would understand.' Kay looked into the fire, prepared to hop onto her bike and leave the second they told her to.

"Are you crazy!?" Khana almost shouted when she was done. "You actually expect us to boot you out just because of that? Well, you should know that I at least, and no doubt the other two here, would as soon as work with your genetically upgraded a**, then without you!" Khana sounded insulted that Kay would even think such a thing. "And think about this, how much easier it would be to find the master behind his undead puppets, with his little project, no offense intended, hanging around us!" she added, getting excited, with that slightly psychotic glint in her eye. "And then, we can end it once and for all!"

Kimmi watched Khana warily. "Down girl." She said with a smirk. "Gotta find it before you can kill it." She reminded her. She stood and brushed herself off. "As for Kay leaving." Moving around the fire she lunged at the girl and hugged her. "No way! You're the coolest zombie slayer ever!" She moved back. "We can handle what comes so long as we stick together. And in case you didn't notice us girls are highly out numbered."

Kay stiffened as Kimmi lunged at her but eventually relaxed a little, she wasn't use to people excepting her. At least not that she could remember. "I just wish could remember who I was before all of this..." she almost whispered collapsing by the fire. Looking into the fire, she talked more to herself then to the others. "Did I have family? Was I an older sister? What did I do? Was I a student? Did I love to read? What kind of food did I like?........ I just wish I could remember something... anything at all. All the memories I have our of desturction and death, ruble and zombies. Nothing else..."

Kimmi sat next to her. "So make new ones. We can be your family, that's kind of how it works here. I have some books you can borrow. You may not know who you were or what you did, but that doesn't change who you are. If all your memories are of bad things then make some that aren't." She smiled brightly at her.

She turned to Mr. Bubbles. "Is she always this perky?" Kay shook her head. "I can't believe you guys would be willing to go through all this trouble...." I really like this filling of 'family'... I think I'll stay for now... But at the first sign that I might get them killed I'm splitting...It'll be better for them that way...

((we left camp to have our little meeting of four, Satori...))
Khana grinned a little calmer now, but still excited to the turn of events, "Yep, as far as I know anyway. Though I suppose I haven't been here all that long myself." she said referring to Kimmi's optimism and perky attitude. Then she continued on a more serious note "And honestly Kay... we're being taken out one by one. It's only a matter of time before we're all dead-dead, or walking dead. Thats... thats what happened to my old group. A bunch of hot-heads that got themselves killed, kept walking into ambushes too, and those weren't even by intelligent zombie's. They made me do this to myself-" she held her arms out, and the fire light danced across them, giving the orange tattoos that marked her an eerie look. "-Just to join, which I did in an attempt to not be alone..... and while it's true that this group is a lot smarter and strategic, its still happening, if a little slower. Lone scouts, the random gunner during a raid... if we don't end this before too long, their will be no one left to end it at all," she glanced at Kimmi "...No one left to protect the children..... I say it's all or nothing, find and kill the puppet master, or die trying, because we eventually will anyway if we continue as we are."once finished she sat back and crossed her arms like that settled it, looking as if daring anyone to contradict her.

Kay clencjed her fist. "If you promises me one thing... When we find this b*****d, I get first crack at him." Her body tensed, thinking of what she would do to him.

Kimmi eyed the girl next to her. "Everyone's so violent." She muttered rolling her eyes. She smirked at Khana as she stood up. "I think you need a hug!" She grabbed the girl before she could move away. Letting go she moved away in case of retaliation. "Besides, I'm the main scout Khana, and I always come back. Even if I do have to spend some time being tossed around in a dog cage." She smirked. "And speaking of the children, we should get back before they tear poor Hero apart." Not waiting for a response she started humming to herself as she started skipping out of the cave.

Kay stood up and put out the fire. "You all go ahead...I'll catch up in a little bit... I'm just going for a walk." Kay turned and walked out of the cave, heading parellel to the camp. She took out a cigarette and lit it, pausing to look up at the stars.

Khana had been kind of stiff, like Kay had been, when Kimmi hugged her all of a sudden. Even though she had a fun personality, occasionally played with the kids a little bit, or wasn't to bad at cheering people up... she still wasn't really close to anyone here. In her old group there had been one... but that chance had been destroyed when she shot his changed body in the head, and she thought she would never get over that. But it wasn't like she was all anti-hug either. "I still think you should carry a pistol at least." she said after quickly recovering, "But yes, we probably should head back about now" she agreed, "and the others should know of this as well..." She turned and followed Kimmi out.

Fillup listened carefully, never saying a word. He occasionally popped his gum, but that was it. When the three had left the cave, he still sat there, even though he had the keys "Well...." he said to the air. He stood, brushing off his jeans "Maybe we should do what the Sergent said.." he thought out loud, refering to one of the gunners, an old vet who never made it past the rank of sergent. It wouldn't be far from here, and there is a chance that the dead-heads haven't found it... maybe we should... he popped his gum as he walked out of the cave. He glanced to Kay's way, then to the truck. He shook his head. Starting the truck, Fillup was still lost in thought.
