Reid pulled a face, glancing up to the sky then back down to the telescope. Just as Aphrodite had said, the stars were still there, even if they looked a lot smaller than the one's in the telescope.
Still....
"Dite' sure these aren' just more stars?" he asked, attention sliding back over towards Aprodite as his wings flicked slightly, sliding in and out of their sheilds as a vent for his restless curoisity.
"Sounds like a good idea," Chao nodded in turn; she'd yet to start working on things such as writing with Reid. Thankfully she had a feeling he might've already begun to get a hold on reading, considering how well he seemed to understand his MP3 player's readout.

Aphrodite shook her head. "Nope, Mama said so and so did Bax. Bax knows loads of things." She grinned at him, she blinked now eyeing his wings. He had wings.. like her. "Oo.."
" If you like, I am willing to help." Baxterfullous said thoughtfully. "I understand how difficult it is to teach children."
Catherine sighed. "Yeah he managed to get Aphrodite to read and write at an early age."

"Ahhh..." Reid nodded slowly, but acceptingly, idly deciding the telescope must be like the teev or the telephone. Stuff wasn't actually in it, it just looked like it was.
Someday he was going to have to figure out how that worked.
Catching her looking at his wings he spread them out and tilted his head, Dite had wings too! "Dite' like to fly?" he asked eagerly.
Chao grinned happily at the offer, "thank you Baxterfullous," she nearly tripped on the long name, but got through it.

"It's alright, you may call my Bax." He smiled, a bit more calmy than before, his stiff and cool dememanor melted away as he seemed to be warming up to them now.
Catherine's shoulder's eased, she was glad Bax was playing nice. A small laughleft her, well somewhat nice. She turned to look at the Firefly and wasp mishap, wondering how they were getting along.
"Oh yes!" She clapped her hands happily, a habit she picked up Al. " I just love flyin' and dancin' while flying... hehe."

Dancing while flying... huh, he'd never tried that before.
Suddenly full of restless energy and the desire to finally fly with someone else Reid looked around. No, if he wasn't allowed to make music here he doubted they'd be allowed to really fly here either.
Remembering the indoor garden they'd passed just before entering the starry room Reid beat his wings happily, "want to race to the garden?"
Coloring slightly Chao chuckled slightly and nodded again, "hehe, Bax then, thanks. I'll be sure to come over when I get started with Reid on reading and writing, as I'm sure I'll need help." She blinked, realizing they might not actually live in the HQ. "If you don't mind me asking, are you all living here in the HQ or do you have a portal connecting it to your home?"

Aphrodite grinned. Someone else she could fly with! Nodding to Reid, she stretched a bit before lifting herself off the ground in flgiht, hovering place. Boy, did hovering in place take practice. "Ok in ... 3...2...1!" And there she went off like a bullet and out the open the door.
"Becareful!" Catherine called, shaking her ehad with a sigh. "Kids." She shrugged with a lopsided smile.
Baxterfullous thought about it for a moment. "A portal connecting to where we live."
"We live in Salem's Home... I took advantage of the fact that Salem offered me a free apartment for working there." Catherine leaned back on a desk. "It was horrible how much gold I had to fork for train rides over everytime I wanted to go home... That was until I got he portal connected." She sighed.

Reid laughed, glowing brightly and launched himself after her.
"Espically on the landings!" Chao called after them. Despite all his practice Reid's landings still were less than perfect.
She turned back to them and nodded sympatheticly. "I know what you mean, I was mostly walking or driving before we got our portal hooked up. Gaia's public transportation seems to enjoy charging lots of gold."

" I don't have the luxury of owning a car." Catherine sighed, but she didn't seem unhappy about it though. "I have a broom I sue for flying..."
"... but it's not family sized."Baxterfullous jested, a rarity from him.
Aphrodite zoomed, so happy, so fille dwith joy she couldn't control herself as an extra umph of wind pushed her forward, faster than she could handle. "EE!" She splooshed into the fountain!

Chao smiled, looking whistful at the mention of flying, "I'd much rather be up in the air than down on the road in a car." At Bax's joke she laughed, "a family sized broom would have to be huge, wouldn't it? Where would you be able to store it?"
The sudden lose of his pink haired flying partner left Reid confused and attempting to hault his own high speed flight, resulting in a bizarre sort of mid-air roll that ended in a collision with the wall.
Now more than a little dazed he regained his senses and hovered in mid-air, looking around for the wasp-mishap. "Dite?"

Bax shrugged, his smile never left him.
Catherine shook her head. "I'm not sure... I miss flying. " A dreamy sigh let her, she closed her eyes picturing the wind in her hair and bludgers flying by her. Oh how she missed quidditch.
Aphrodite gasped as she emerged fromt he water, flailing. "Reid!" She squeeked. "Help!" The fountain had to be at least a foot deep, that was a bit too much for the 5 inch tall kid.
'Calm down.' A voice echoed quietly in her mind.
Taking a deep breath, she stopped flailing, trying her best to swim to the fountain's edge.

Chao nodded in quiet empathy, though if Catherine had mentioned bludges she wouldn't have known what she was talking about. Someday she'd get the aircraft back up and working again!
Catching the cry and the urgency behind it Reid looked down to the fountain and Aphrodite's form within it. Quickly he shifted into a dive and neatly skimmed over the water, carefully grabbing her and then returning to a higher altitude.
"You okay?" he asked, obviously worried.

"so, what brings you out tonight?" Catherine asked, curiosity in her voice. "We're out charting horoscopes."
Bax shrugged, Catherine was out charting horoscopes. He was preparing for his class... and he was restless.
Aphrodite coughed a bit, smiling up at Reid. He saved her life! A glowing admiration seemed to be growing. "I'm fine." She stammered, more scared and cold from the event.

"Just restlessness and an inability to sleep," Chao replied with a shrug and a curious tilt to her head at the mention of horoscopes. "What's a horoscope?"
Reid frowned, not convinced of her fineness and flew carefully towards the ground, managing a better than usual landing among the flowers a fair distance away from the fountain.

"Star signs, like Leo and Aries." Catherine explained a bit, if more confusion came she go in a bit further.
Aphrodite smiled up at him. "Thanks." she jumped out of his hands and on to the floor, shaking off a bit.

"Ah...?" she recognized the names, vaguely. Hadn't Rico tried to explain that to her once or twice?
Reid returned the smile, "welcome," he was still a bit worried though, "should we fly back?"
