"Course not," he said, wiggling his arm to regain feeling in it before taking his glasses and placing them on his face before moving some long golden hairs away from Skye's face. "I had you to keep me warm after all."
If Suzura could make any sound at all, she would have snorted at Syrus' cheezy line, but then, being a child and all, everything romantic seemed cheezyy. Instead she just grinned from ear to ear, wondering how long it would take for her to get noticed.

Skye giggled and smiled warmly at Syrus, then sat up, the blanket falling off her as she did so.
"You kept me warm, too," she told him honestly, rubbing her arms to protect them from the sudden cool of the morning air. She shivered a bit. "But maybe we should get something to eat, then I can warm up a bit again ... it is a little cold out today, I think ..."

"That seems like a good plan to me," Syrus said as he sat up with a stretch, feeling around for his jacket. He found it quickly, and draped it over Skye's shoulders to block out the chill.

Skye's eyes registered surprise as Syrus put his jacket around her shoulders, but it was quickly replaced with a warm smile and her usual sparkle.
"Thank you," she said softly, pulling the jacket closer around her. "You are very good to me. But will you not be cold without it?"
She rose slowly to her feet, holding one hand out to help Syrus up as well, her eyes filled with worry for him.

"I'll be fine," he said. "My shirt, though short sleeved, covers my shoulders more anyway, so you need it more then I do," he said, grabbing her hand and starting to get up, though of course he needed a tug.

Skye giggled and tugged Syrus to his feet, but once he was up she didn't let go of his hand.
"You tell me if you feel cold," she told him, smiling, though she was serious, "and then I will give your jacket back to you, all right?"
She squeezed his hand and turned to make lead them to where they had left the picnic basket and her bag, and she stopped in her tracks, spotting the grown Suzura sitting on the grass and watching them. She blushed then, her face turning a bright shade of red, and looked over at Syrus.

Syrus hadn't been paying attention to what was ahead of them, listing to Skye with full focus. He nodded at her statement, then found it odd that when she turned to face forward, her face went red and she looked at him.
"What?" he asked, then turned his own head forward, face quickly turning the same color as Skye's as he saw the reason.
"O...oh..." he stammered.
Suzura laughed silently and smile, just waving at them rather cheerfully.
'Good morning!' she said, her wings a flutter with glee. It seems she was rather pleased with what she was looking at.

'Good morning,' Skye signed back to Suzura, her face still beet red. Still, she trusted her hands more than her voice at the moment.
She turned to Syrus and murmured softly, "I did not know she was coming so early ..."
But then she realized something else, and her eyes grew wide, her blush fading instantly. "She is big ..."

"Neither did I..." he whispered back, slightly, but turned to look at her sister rather quickly at the suggestion that she was bigger, though did not say anything yet.
Suzura clapped her hands and smiled even wider. 'That is true!' she signed. 'I am much bigger now! Though, there is one problem with it...' She took the time to remove the tiny sandles she had hanging on her shoulders. 'Your kind gift does not fit anymore, and I had not even had them for a whole day...'

Skye smiled and squeezed Syrus's hand again, and as she led the two of them towards Suzura, she didn't let go. Why should she? He was her boyfriend, and if they couldn't show it to family without being embarrassed then who could they show or tell?
Her brow furrowed slightly at Suzura's reminder of the gift of the day before.
"I am sorry," she said softly, reaching out to take the sandals from the smaller angel once more. "If you like I can give you my other ones that will fit you now ..."

'No, I am sorry. It is my fault for growing...' she signed with a silent sigh, looking at them for a moment while Skye took them. 'It is fine. I would not want to give back ANOTHER gift by growing out of them again...'
Plus, she did not want to say it, but as a child she was almost the height of her and her brother, the two being rather short for teens, and she wondered if the sandals would fit.
'But enough about that! How was your night? Sleep well?'
Syrus smiled, having gotten over his shock of his sister just sitting there starring at him when he awoke.
"Yes," he said, looking over to Skye. "I had a very nice night."

Skye was sad that she couldn't give Suzura another gift, but she smiled and nodded her agreement. Well, she would find something, she was sure.
"We slept very well," she smiled warmly, glancing over at Syrus. She giggled softly, then turned back to Suzura. "What about you, did your growth hurt?"
Skye's growths had been fine, but she knew Serenity had a lot of pain when she grew, and Celebor became clumsy ... who knew how it affected Suzura?

'No, not really...' she said, though promptly giggled silently.
'But my mother hurt herself when I woke her up this morning. Jumped so much she fell out of the bed! She is fine though,' she commented.
"Well that's good to hear," Syrus said with a nod, then looked down to his stomach as it gurgled rather loudly.
"Umm...Skye and I were going back to get breakfast. Care to join us?" he asked.

Skye's eyes grew wide when she saw that her friend's mother had been hurt, but she relaxed again when Suzura added that she was all right.
"I am glad she is all right," she murmured softly.
She jumped a bit when Syrus's stomach gurgled, because it was so strong she could feel the vibration of it in the back of her hand that was clasped with Syrus's.
"I should make breakfast!" she exclaimed, remembering suddenly that she had promised to do just that. "Mommy packed lots of things in my bag, I will get it together quickly!"
She turned to Syrus. "Can you bring the blanket, please?" she asked him, her eyes pleading. "We will have to sit on it again ..."

Syrus nodded and let go of Skye's hand.
"Sure," he said. "You and Suzura go on ahead, and I'll catch up to you both in a few moments, ok?"
