Phantom Phan 4ever Shura-Pendragon All of the other annoying things you've ll mention is....well annoying. Some things that really bug me though is.... 1.) Watching the movie and people singing along with it. A movie is made for WATCHING. A CD is made for listening and SINGING ALONG WITH! 2.) Said guy friends think it would be cute to sing along with Christine while watching the movie and singing it horribly off key. 3.) My friend Ron wanting to be a Female Opera singer just because of Carlotta >.< 4.) People asking, "Who is Michael Crawford?" 5.) The 1980's POTO movie....grrrr, it makes Erik look so....I don't know, idiosyncratic! Espically at the end where she rips his face off and throws his Duan Juan Triumphant in a sewar.....I mean, wouldn't Erik have sercret backup files stashed somewhere? 6.) People not watching it because they don't want to watch some deformed crying self pitying himself and all the mo.... stare I just want Erik to punjab lasso them. My friends and I sing along with the movie all time and were all off key and cant sing...but we know we cant and do it for the fun of it. The 1989 one was...ok, not the best but could have been much worse. And #6 is just stipid, watch the movie and you'll understand why hes crying!!!! Agreed on #6 and singing off key.. ehehehehe, That's why I want to take chorus, to learn to sing on key.... xd

1. People telling you that Opera is retarded
2. People telling you that Phantom of the opera is "opera" (It's NOT)
3. Your voice instructer forcing you to sing phantom
4. Your entire Novels class saying: "if it's sooo awsome, why don't you sing it!"
5. Your novels teacher forcing you to sing it
6. Your novels class laughing at you as you try to belt out "think of me" (including the warbly-end)
7. People hating your phictions because it's too out-of-this-world
8.When you comment on the Persian, someone saying "my parents have a rug too"
EDIT:9. Raoul-bashing. Sure, I'll admitt to bashing Raoul a few times(ok, maybe a little more), but he's a good guy. From what I've seen, most of the people that have seen a movie or play before reading the GL(or Kay) book tend to leans towards Erik. (ponr and mtn were his two redeeming sympathy songs), and people that read the book first tend to like Raoul. (In my openion, the book treats Erik like a monster) And once you get your openion, you constantly look for flaws in the opposing males charecter. Now, I admit, I do like Erik more than Raoul, but I can SO TOTALLY see why Christine chose him as well.

Alexis Of Shadow Nightmare1 Alexis Of Shadow Indeed. Erik is not supposed to be some man-slutty pimp. He is supposed to be repulsive to look at, something people would not want to relate to in the way Christine and Erik did in the ALW musical. Although...it would be funny to see a romantic version of Frankenstein. Just for shits and giggles. I would loathe that. I am a loyal fan of the book. And yes, I did not feel Erik nearly as scarred as he should have been. I was rather disappointed that even with the scar, he still looked somewhat handsome. That damn sunburn is exactly why I am so disappointed in the movie. Or, at least, eighty percent so. Don't these people know what the word "deformity" means? *Twitch* yes, that is what kills me in the movie too. I mean, his black hair turned silver and fell off as she pulled off his mask, he still had a nose, and his deformaty was a freaking sunburn!

'Fans' (not true Phans) who see the 2004 movie and say: "He's so hot, only if he keeps the mask on" 2. 'Fans' that spell his name with a 'c' (Eric) 3. People that say he can't sing. 4. The other thing I can't stand (it must be a generational thing...it has to be!) is when while explsining the story to my Grandma, she says "Oh. It ends happy!"

well ive seen the 2004 movie and i saw the play in 6th grade, i have to say the play was more intense the chandeleir(or however you spell that) came down towards the audicence and everything it was awsome. i dislike when people say that GB cant sing i like his voice i dont see anything wrong with it.

Susan Kay's book was awesome. I discovered POTO from the 2004 movie but coming from it I have seen Phantom of the Paradise (half of it my sister wanted the tv...), Robert Englund, read the book, read Susan Kay's book, the 1925 one I am also half way through sweatdrop
I prefer mask off though.
Erik with a c drives me insane. Also someone got really scared at MC deformity picture thing. stressed gonk I said to her what the real Erik looks like...

NinjaRachel What I hate most of all is people who nitpick too much about it. I mean, you're fine of course, but people who rant on and on that Christine is a whore for leavin Erik like that etcetra. And I don't find Raoul that bad. You gotta think, he loved Christine too, had she gone with the phantom, he'd be sad just like Erik was. There probably would have been no story if she picked him. I hate when they call Christine a whore. She did what anyone would do at that time. I was a Raoul-fan before I watched the movie for the 4th time.

I'd have to say all the hating. I, for one, have only seen the movie *puts hands at the level of her eyes to avoid punjabbing* lol, but I'm absolutely dying to read the book. *curses WAlden Books for not carrying more than one copy* I already knew the story line to begin with, from a (don't laugh) Wishbone special I watched when I was younger. I fell in love with the storyline, and with Erik's character, even when Raoul was being played by a terrier, lol. I'm a sucker for the tortured, deformed genius who only needs someone to truly love him. (I'm also a Beauty and the Beast Fan and love Rigoletto....different stories, same basic point.)
