[Been busy sorry.. >w< And I have had major writer's block.] Jessica sighed and sat down on the bed. She looked at Riley when he came back in. "What was that about?" she asked putting her hair up into a pony but left some of her bangs down.

[No problem] ---- Riley shook his head. "Not sure. Someone nearly ran into me while on the run, I can only assume. Then they ran off to explore the ship but I'm not that daring as of yet. In fact, I have a better plan. I want to know if they are here for a reason or even 'here' at all. I plan to steal the dock records...steal because they aren't public." he explained. "Now, normally I would do this alone, but seeing as I dragged you into this, then I guess we are in this together. Besides, I know the type of guards that are there. Young men who have to stand there all day, in a desolate area of the..." he stopped. "Where would they keep it?" he asked sheepishly. He had made up the guard line completely.

"Well, since they aren't public, that means they want no one to see them right? So they would be hidden in a secure place, most likely where you would never look for dock records." Jessica said. "And what about the guards?" she asked as she removed the pouch from her side and began to count her kunai and shuriken. I forgot how many I brought.... she thought as she counted them.

"Nothing." Riley said simply, leaning on the wall to think. He looked back outside at the dark sky and rain. "Or, we could bypass that angle entirely and just hop aboard, what do you think?" he asked, looking at the ship. There still seemed to be no watch. All they had to do was swim up under the cover of darkness.

"Risky, but it might work." Jessica said, putting the kunai and shuriken back in the pouch. 30 of each... she thought, that's good enough. "But you never know, they might have people watching it, maybe even snipers." She said.

Riley nodded. "Which is why I want to swim up at night. Under water, even if they fire at us, the arrows will hit the water and sink past us harmlessly. Once we get on board, if they fire at us, we can take cover behind any number of things." he explained, checking his knife. "Actually, if you want to go, I suggest we go now, while it's raining. It's as dark as it will ever be today, and the rain will cover our movement in the water." he added, shrugging off his jacket and leaving it on the bed. No need for excess weight, he told himself.

Jessica had stashed her swords under the bed. She brought them out and hooked them onto her side. "Ready when you are." she said with a smile.

"Lets go." Riley said simply, locking the door. He climbed to the balcony, checked the windows for lights and movement, then planned a route down. He jumped down to a balcony directly under him, then to the left, then down onto a pile of garbage left out behind the inn. Getting up off the bags, he walked slowly, under the cover of the few shadows there were to the edge of the water. He lowered himself onto a dock, then into the water. It was cold, freezing actually, but he quickly adjusted. He floated by the dock, waiting for Jessica.

Jessica followed his movements exactly. When she got into the water, she almost screamed because it was so cold, but, she covered her mouth before she did. After getting used to it a little, she whispered: "Holy crap its freezing!" to Riley.

"Yeah...now quiet down, swim slowly but steadily, follow me." Riley said, starting slowly out towards the ship. As he thought, the rain hitting the water made it seem as if the ripples from them looked like rain hitting the water. At least from far away. As they approached the ship, still no guards appeared on deck. They arrived at the anchor, and he stopped to catch his breath.

Jessica followed him quietly. She looked around, looking for guards, but didn't see anyone. I still don't see anyone...how weird... she thought as she treaded water next to him.

Riley prodded the chain once. It moved but didn't rattle very loudly, so he grabbed it and started climbing. Once on deck, he stopped, crouched behind the railing, hoping to keep concealed from any of the dock guards. [Short post >.< Also, Q in the OOC thread.]

Reyl Duskfire:
At her declining his offer he slipped one of his arms back through the sleeves of the jacket but his hand slipped through one of it's mant holds. He shook his head considered that the effort it would take to put it on properly was probably worth more than the protection it would give from the elements. He threw the jacket to the side of the road as she spoke. He nodded in agreement with her words stroking his bottom lip as he thought about what she said for a moment.
"I don't know much of this place but, from what I"ve learned of port towns. Weather doesn't change this quickly unless there's some sort of storm brewing." he said following after her.
Ezeikel cocked his head slightly at her question seeing as how most people he'd met in the town were far from kind and even less so to strangers. Suspiscion brewed at the back of his mind, but he didn't find her presence threatening enough to leave her question unanswered.
"To tell you the truth, I don't know. I've been on the move as long as I can remember. How about you? You from around here?"

Jessica followed his movements, being careful not to make noise. On deck, she immediately made sure to stay low, and hid behind on of the boxes on deck, looking around for any guards that may be around.

Riley leaned on the railing for a minute, catching his breath and shivering. "Alright...step one, off without a hitch." he said quietly, grinning slightly before shaking his head to get the water off it. "Step two, lets find out whats in this wooden bathtub, shall we?" he added, still in a hushed voice. He walked slowly to one of the gates, kneeling beside it. Of course, it was locked. "Give me a moment." he said, examining the lock. He pulled out a small key like thing from his pocket. It looked like a key, except it was flat when view from the front. After a while, he would look up from the lock at the key, shaving off more surface area off the sides, until it looked like a key with large indents on either side. "Come here." he said, motioning to the lock and sliding in the key.
