Alec’s body straightened as well. “And you are absolutely positive of this?” Sky nodded slowly. Alec darted forward and grabbed the Lycan by his neck. “The Cure was there and you couldn’t even bring that back to me?”His voice fell to a harsh whisper. “Sky, if you were not so valuable to me I would kill you where you stand.” Alec shoved Sky toward the door. “I may call on you later, but for now I want you out of my sight.” He whirled around, muttering violently beneath his breath. Ronin happened to be too close and consequently became the new source of Alec’s wrath. “But what is to stop me from killing you? You are worthless. Nothing to me.” The enraged vampire pressed his sharp nails to Ronin’s throat, drawing a thin line of blood from each small wound. With a flick of his wrist Alec sliced the man's neck. “Staying near me is dangerous for your health.” Ronin nodded, placing a hand to his scratched neck and quickly leaving the room. He hadn’t dared to say a word. Only Ebony and her package were left. The sound of her sliding Jasper from her shoulder and the resulted thud were the only sounds in the suddenly quiet room. As silent and cold as a shadow Alec began to pace. “If it were not for you, Ebony,” Alec said in a startlingly calm voice. “I can’t promise that I would be keeping any of you alive. The others have failed me more times than I care to ignore. They will be punished in due time. But you,” he smiled and stopped his pacing in front of the woman, “You have pleased me. You have done well.” Alec bent down and hauled Jasper to his knees. He reached back and slapped the vampire hard across the face. After a moment of groaning Jasper blinked open his eyes. “Well, that’s not exactly the face I wanted to wake up next to,” he said with a raised eyebrow and a cocky smile. Alec smiled back, albeit a very dark and haunting smile. “Now aren’t you just a cheeky one? We’ll have to break you of that little habit. He reached down and fished around in Jasper’s pocket. When he stood back up there was a cell phone in his hand. “Thank you Jasper. I’ll need to be making a few calls and I seem to have misplaced Logan’s number. How silly of me. Don’t worry; I’ll give it back when I’m done.” Jasper snorted. “Yeah, whatever big guy. You just wanted an excuse to feel me up. You’re not alone, though. This lovely woman behind me just can’t seem to keep ‘er hands of me.” Alec ignored the comment and looked up at Ebony. “I am very proud of you, Ebony. You have proved that I can trust you. As a reward, it will be you who gets the pleasure of extracting information from our little friend here.” He gestured to Jasper. “Take him down to the holding cells in the basement. I want to know everything he knows. But mostly, just have fun with it. He needs to look roughed up; he has a big day ahead of him and I want him to look nice.” Alec smiled and walked away to slide onto his couch. His usual glass of wine was waiting for him on the table at his elbow. “With Jasper here, the raid on the nest won’t be necessary; Logan will come right to us. All I want you to worry about is watching over Jasper for me.” Alec waved a hand to dismiss her but remembered something just as she was pulling the struggling Jasper to his feet. “Oh, and Ebony,” she turned to look at him questioningly, “While you are taking care of Jasper, can you make sure he isn’t smiling quite so much the next time I see him? We really need to fix that attitude problem of his.”

Ebony felt frozen in place. The Cursed had the Cure? When did this happen? She had smelt a human but the thought of it being the Cure never even crossed her mind, she had reasoned it was the vampires snack. Alec was angry and the punishment Sky received was well deserved, however Ebony had half expected some punishment herself as well. She never quite understood Alec's moods or standards, and when Ebony saw him lash out at Ronin her fears heightened and her heart sped up. Ebony felt like a chastised child, waiting with a guilty conscience for retribution.
As the other two left Ebony busied herself with sliding her prize off her shoulder, none too ceremoniously however, the barbs from his insults still irritated her, and how she wished she could punish him ten fold over. The room was now very quiet and the atmosphere was tense with Ebony's fear and Alec's anger, the only sounds now was soft breathing and the muted footsteps of Alec's pacing. However, much to Ebony's delight Alec spoke to her words she craved and worked so hard for, these lavishes were the fuel to her ambitions: “You have pleased me. You have done well.” Flushing with pleasure Ebony stepped back and watched as Alec woke Jasper. Jasper was obviously not the most clever of fellows, Ebony reasoned, as he said: “Well, that’s not exactly the face I wanted to wake up next to” to anger and insult Alec was an unthinkable act, she herself would never do such a thing, no matter the situation and her feelings. Ebony smirked and put her hands on her hips as Alec smiled and attained Jasper's mobile, and through it useful information that would help with their cause.
“Yeah, whatever big guy. You just wanted an excuse to feel me up. You’re not alone, though. This lovely woman behind me just can’t seem to keep ‘er hands of me.” As Jasper finished with his back-talk Ebony could feel her indignation choke her and the urge to leap and attack the prone vampire would have overcome her if not for Alec's presence. So Ebony instead glared at the vampire with resentment breaking off her glare when Alec spoke to her once again: “I am very proud of you, Ebony. You have proved that I can trust you. As a reward, it will be you who gets the pleasure of extracting information from our little friend here.” Alec gestured to Jasper, “Take him down to the holding cells in the basement. I want to know everything he knows. But mostly, just have fun with it. He needs to look roughed up; he has a big day ahead of him and I want him to look nice.” Ebony bit the inside of her lip with excitement at the prospect, piercing the fragile skin with her fangs. Doing so, made blood begin to well on her tongue and trickle down her throat, adding to the glee already burbling under her pale skin.
Ebony, eager to being with her 'interrogation' picked up the thrashing Jasper, ignoring his flailing limbs. Such a pitiful attempt. She was about to drag her victim out but Alec's last words stopped her: “Oh, and Ebony, while you are taking care of Jasper, can you make sure he isn’t smiling quite so much the next time I see him? We really need to fix that attitude problem of his.” "Of course sir, I will make sure to meet your orders to the best of my abilities. Thank you for this opportunity, I will enjoy it thoroughly sir, and he most definitely will not have an attitude problem when I finish with him." Nodding and smiling at Alec with teeth smeared with blood, she flung Jasper over her shoulder fireman style onto her shoulder.
Closing the door softly behind her Ebony's face split into a smile set to break, and with a bounce in her step she headed to the elevator. Pressing the button Ebony began to hum a tune to herself, and breaking off from her hum she spoke to Jasper: "Oh, we are going to have so much fun Jasper! I just can't wait to start!" When she finished, the slight woosh of the elevator doors heralded it's arrival and stepping in Ebony inhaled the fresh smell of disinfectant and cleaning chemicals. Alec's cleaning crew were the best, not a spot of blood remained from their prior trip up to Alec's office, and pushing the button for the basement Ebony waited impatiently to arrive at her destination. The doors pinged and Ebony once again stepped out, this level was by far the darkest and her pupils swelled to soak in any available light. The basement had a wide range of smells, they started from the obvious smells of dampness to the more subtle of of copper, both from rust and blood.
Walking down the corridor Ebony hurried to the very last cell and dumped Jasper against a cold and unforgiving wall. Ebony grabbed one of his wrists and manacled it, ignoring the thrashes and obscene threats thrown at her, revenge would come soon. Repeating the same for the other wrist Ebony straightened up and twisted her back, to the right and then to the left, enjoying the cracks this brought forth. Looking down at Jasper, Ebony's grin grew impossibly larger and licking off the blood from her teeth Ebony glowered down at him. Speaking through her smirk and releasing her garroting wire from the mechanism on her wrist Ebony stated: "Now Jasper where shall we begin?"

The sound of Jess's laughter made her feel better. This was a good sign for her, she felt like she was a puppy who had been waiting to be yelled at, only to have a smile thrown her way. Now all she needed to do on her four step program to being friends with Jess again was to get her to talk to her again, of course, then the phone had to ring. "Ya know, for people who on the run all the time, ya sure get alota phone calls." She mumbled to herself, holding out both hands so they could be tied up, and then a little whisper of instinct told her something else...
Neasa gulped down a big breath and held it for a second before letting it out slowly. It was getting way too easy for her to think like a Rogue now. She had known she couldn't go back to Alec empty handed this time, it would be too much to ask for to get away unscathed from him after this. She knew she couldn't stay with the Cursed, either. After all, they were enemies, even if Neasa didn't want to hurt them, and they were fighting for opposite things.
The thought bothered her, but she knew it was the only thing she could do. She was thief, and thieves are notorious for getting out of tight spots like the one she was about to be put into. She would have to wait for them to go to sleep first before she made her move, and then somehow or another Neasa was going to have to get out of here with the Cure if she ever wanted to be accepted back into the Rogues. She didn't have another home to go to, they were all she had now, this was her only choice.
Still, as she looked up at Jess she couldn't help but feel as if she were about to do something more horriable than simply what she'd been trained to do.

Alice slid down the wall and was sitting with her head in her hands. She had shutdown. This wasn't the first time either. Whenever something happened she couldn't quite handle, she would lock herself up in her own mind. When Luke died she sat in a hotel for 4 days straight, refusing to eat or sleep. She would just lie there staring blankly at the ceiling fan. The Rogues...the bad ones...the ones that want to kill me...attacked... They have Jasper...They won't kill him? They want information....about me? Why me?...I don't want to be important...I don't want to be the cure...I never asked for this!!....I just stood there while everyone fought....That will never happen again...I won't forgive myself if Jasper dies...No one will die...
Alice felt a determination she had never felt before... She was tired of being treated like a child, tired of being protected all the time while people she cared about died. It was her turn...her turn to protect someone else. Sure she was no vampire or lycan, but she was the Cure right? She had to have something extra to protect herself, she could feel it. Now it was just a matter of figuring out what.... She had her martial arts skills, and they usually held through, but against them it might not be so effective. Her silver daggers would work against other Lycans...now vampires? She needed something else!!! Alice could feel the frustration rise inside her like a coiling cobra ready to strike. She was locked up inside herself while the world still went on around her. In the back of her mind she heard talking, but the words where muffled, and the meanings lost.
No one will die for my sake anymore...I will fufill my duty as the cure..whatever that duty may be...and I will help rescue Jasper..whether they like it or not....
She felt her birthmark tingle slightly as her determination grew, but in her trance she ignored it. The thoughts in her mind ran on and on, as her scar continued to tingle. It never reached a burning but it didn't stop either. Alice was growing annoyed with it, even in her locked down state. It was like a mosquito that kept buzzing in her ear, but didn't bite.

Japser glared up at Ebony, but despite that, Jasper seemed weak from blood loss and the injuries he had sustained. "So," started Ebony, "you have the Cure now. I presume it was that human in the nest. What's her name?" Leaning down, Ebony put her hands onto her knees and stared into the manacled vampires face. "Not going to tell even the most basic of information Jasper? You're going to find it very hard to survive here with an attitude like that." Lowering herself even further, Ebony balanced on her haunches and reached around for Jasper's hand. Grasping his wrist with one hand and with her other Ebony held onto Jasper's pinky. "For every minute of mine you waste Jasper, I'm going to break a finger, but don't think I'll stop there, I can always find something else to snap." Twisting her head to meet the male's steely gaze, Ebony shrugged her shoulders and slowly turned back to his hand. "Well, it's your choice Jasper," with that Ebony painstakingly drew back the small pink digit, until eventually, a loud crack resonated in the empty space. Jasper had his eyes squeezed tightly shut and when the digit finally broke he let out a pained shout, resulting in a smug grin from Ebony. Even if Jasper answered all her questions, it wouldn't stop her from torturing him, no matter how much Jasper plead or begged he would have no sway in the outcome of his tortures.
((OOC: Sorry if it was short and crap-tastic but I'm really quite tired and drained. I also all want to let you know that I'm going to be away for a week, I do not know if I will have internet access, but if I stop posting you can presume that is the case. Also for any of the mods of the roleplay if you could please 'God Mod' my character if needed. Thanks. =) ))

The group looked tired. No, they looked absolutely exhausted. Alaric couldn't blame them, since they had been through a battle and they were all turned. They needed rest. Logan seemed to be busy with the Rogue, and Alaric really didn't want to talk to him anyway. He was about to speak with Jess when she got on the phone again. He waited, taking a closer look at the contents of the room: two injured werewolves, one injured pureblood, two injured vampires, the Cure and himself. There was a lot of blood smell.
The phone conversation ended, and Logan moved away. Alaric moved in. "Is it safe to sleep here? It appears as though you all need rest. I will stand guard during the night, so you can all sleep. Also, do you have a board for that window? I don't like all our blood smell escaping into the street."
((Edited to allow for the phone conversation. Sorry about my mistime.))

"Jess? Jess, is that you?" Syvra was panting, trying to slow her breathing down. Of course it's Jess you IDIOT, Syvra thought to herself. As she watched the moon come out and the lights around the skyscraper flicker on to illuminate it quite impressivley, she straightened her thoughts out and continued talking. "Nevermind, where's Logan? Are you guys okay? I came back from, from..." What am I going to say? Yeah, I came back from running away from the sounds of Logan and Alice making out and having a soap opera moment behind doors. Oh yeah, that's gonna go over GREAT. "...from...my...patrol, and I saw people that weren't Cursed leaving with Jasper. I followed them to a skyscraper near the center of the city and I'm keeping it under surveillance now. Thing is though, they drove into an underground parking lot and I think they may have taken Jasper...well, to Him." Even as she said it, Syvra knew that her emphasis on the word 'Him' would not bode well. Every cursed knew who He was, but they didn't like to talk about it. "I don't think they just took Jasper for fun. I think they know about Alice, but I'm not sure. They definitely must've smelt her if they were inside the warehouse." Good job on stating the obvious Syvra dear. She bit her lip and moved on. "I don't think Jasper will last long if they want something from us. We have to do something now." Even as she looked at the tall, imposing skyscraper, she couldn't help but feel that she needed to find cover. She went over to a nearby air conditioner and ducked under it. All that anyone would notice, if they bothered to come to the roof of this 18 story building, was a pair of glowing red eyes staring up at the skyscraper across the street and hurried conversation.

Logan laughed at Neasa’s comment and shook his head. “You’re the best Rouge I’ve ever met. That isn’t getting you out of prison though, sorry.” He was about to make another joke when Jess answered the phone again. He sat up straight and put his head in close to listen in on the conversation. “We have to do something now." “No!” Logan shouted into Jess’s ear and then stepped around to face her. “Tell Syvra to come back. We can’t take them on yet, we are too weak. So what if we know where Alec is? We can’t just barge in and demand to have Jasper back. They would kill us all or hand us off to the cops that are looking for us.” Logan rubbed his temple and took a few steps away. His growing fever wasn’t making him feel all that great. Logan looked over and saw that Alice was spaced out and had a very instance look on her face. That couldn’t be good. “Just tell Syvra to come here. This isn’t something I’m going to negotiate.” He gave a worried look at the phone, hopping Syvra would just listen to him. He sighed and walked over to Alice. He slid down the wall next to her and put his head on her shoulder with a very defeated sigh. “Whatever you are thinking about, Alice, don’t do it.”

When Logan had laughed at her joke, there had been an evil little laugh that had gone off in the back of her mind, followed by her own stupid thought of; "Bwahaha! Feel my wrath! My evil plan to make Logan laugh has come to fruition!" Which just made her smile, now wasn't the time for all of this, but those silly thoughts had been helping her keep her sanity for years, though most might call that in itself and insanity.
However, when Alaric vollunteered to keep watch over them, she almost couldn't hold back her sigh or growl of annoyance. 'Gods above, can't a girl ever get a break around here? I don't think it's too much to ask for to be allowed to stay a werewolf...' She sighed mentally, but Neasa was unable to end her mental converstation with herself at just that, 'Of course, staying a werewolf does require me to kidnap and possiably kill and innocent young woman, which in the end makes me the villian and deems me unworthy of my own gift...'
Exasperated with herself and her own struggling moral code, Neasa just let her head drop back to her knees and let out a very low, very growly, "Damnit."

Jess stood with the phone to her ear, a confused look plaster onto her face, but listening intently as Syvra continued on. "Jess? Jess, is that you?!...Nevermind, where's Logan? Are you guys okay? I came back from..my patrol, and I saw people that weren't Cursed leave with Jasper. I followed them to a skyscraper near the center of the city and I'm keeping it under surveillance now. Thing is though, they drove into an underground parking lot and I think they may have taken Jasper to..Him." Logan's ears perked, while he was still facing Neasa, listening to the conversation now. Jess answered her questions before she began speaking again, "Logan's right here, with us. He's injured but he should be fine after resting. Most, if not all of us are injured. Alaric is here now, he's fine. Alice is here, she's fine. Logan, Rose, and I got injured. Oh..and there's a Rogue here..she's about to get tied up, as we speak. However, I'm glad that you were able to follow them." Jess couldn't help but want to ask where she really was, Syvra's patrol wasn't until night time. Syvra continued on, "I don't think tehy took Jasper for fun... I think they know about Alice, but I'm not sure. They definately must've smelt her if they were inside the warehouse. Jess, I don't think Jasper will last long if they want something from us. We have to do something..now." Logan stood up and said, "No! Tell Syvra to come back. We can't take them on yet, we are too weak. So what if we know where Alec is?! We can't just barge in and demand to have Jasper back. they would kill us all or hand us off to the cops that are looking for us." Both Jess and Syvra were listening to what Logan was saying, he made sence, Jess didn't want to admit it.., but he did. "Just tell Syvra to come here. This isn't something I'm goign to negotiate." Jess sighed into the phone, "You heard the orders, Syv. Come on over here."
After a bit more short conversation, Jess hung up the phone, putting it back into her pocket. That's when Alaric walked over to her and began to speak, "Is it safe to sleep here? It appears as though you all need rest. I will stand guard during the night, so you can all sleep. Also, do you have a board for that window? I don't like our blood smell escaping into the street." Jess laughed, lightly, and said, "Yeah..come on..I saw a large crate in the alley way next to here..come on." As they walked out into the alley Jess stopped Alaric, inches away from his being and said very quietly, "If you're going to stand guard tonight, pay very close attention to Neasa...the Rogue. I have a bad feeling that she's going to try something with Alice.." With that she backed away from him and walked over to the crate, kicking it hard, and grabbed a large board. As they began walking back inside, she let her voice go back to normal volume and said, "It's somewhat safe to sleep here..I've never had to when the Rogues were after us..nor have I ever with one in the room. Just, to those who will be sleeping, be weary and sleep lightly." She heard Neasa growl, "Damnit." and Jess eyed her suspiciously. "Here, Alaric, I'll help you put the board up." Jess walked over to the cabinet that she had gotten the rope out of and found box of nails and a hammer and handed them to Alaric. She walked back over to the window and held the board up and watched as Alaric nailed it on, securely. "There," Jess sighed. "Good as new." She then walked over to the chair in the livingroom and sunk into it carefully and began examining her wrist again and slowly unwrapped it, seeing if it required stitches.

Jasper bit the inside of his cheek and sucked in a huge gulp of air. You can do this Jasper. You have broken lots of things before. You have endured worse. Then again, before he could actually defend himself. Here he was just a worm on a hook. Jasper glanced over at his finger to see just how bad it looked. Big mistake. Quickly he looked straight ahead, staring stubbornly and defiantly into Ebony’s eyes. “It’s no big deal, Sweetheart,” Jasper said through clenched teeth. “I heal quickly. Give me a day or two and that hand will be good as new.” Actually, it was a big deal, and the prospect of having anything else broken sent a chill down his spine. “No big deal?” Ebony asked with a smile. “Then I guess you won’t mind if I do this.” There was a snap and Jasper cried out again, feeling a spike of pain shoot up the next finger in line. He pulled against the manacles and clawed at Ebony with his uninjured hand, but she remained just out of reach, her dark face split by her grin. Jasper was reminded of a crude jack-o-lantern. He always did hate those things; gave him the heebie-jeebies. “You might as well kill me, Hun, ‘cause I’m not telling you anything. Or did Alec tell you to keep me alive?” He gave a pained laugh. “Damn, always getting’ held back by the man. Come on, can’t you just break orders this one time?” Despite his tone, the both of him knew he wasn’t joking. Death would be his best option. The Cursed were in bad shape; he wasn’t sure they could handle another raid, and of course Alice would be a goner. If Jasper let anything slip it could mean the death for everyone he had grown to care for. He had joined the Cursed knowing that the odds were against him, but he had vowed to put the Cure before his own life. He wasn’t about to go back on that now. “You smell nice,” Jasper said with a taunting smile and a raised eyebrow. She snapped back another finger in response. This was going to be a long night.

Alec toyed with the cell phone in his hand. It was small and black. Its screen had a crack down the middle and the buttons had long since lost their numbers. He snorted in disgust at what little dignity the Cursed must have for themselves. They couldn’t even keep their phones updated or in good condition. Alec set down his glass of wine and stood up, phone still in hand. Curious, he held down the first button. The speed-dial was activated and the phone started to ring. The contact on the display read Jess. He couldn’t help but laugh to himself. Jess was his second choice to abduct if anything misfortunate had happened to Jasper. It had been a while since he last spoke to her. Perhaps now was a good time for catching up. But the line was busy and Alec was sent to voicemail. Now, this was something new for Alec, but he could make the best of this situation. “Leave a message after the tone,” a robotic voice commanded. The tone sounded and Alec chuckled darkly. “Jessica dear, you really should answer when I call. It’s rude to leave me waiting like this. But never mind that, how are things? Your husband? And your child? How old should little Bella be? Oh my, she would have been well into school by now. But I suppose none of that matters anymore. You seem to have moved on. I don’t blame you, though your latest attraction doesn’t seem to be doing well. Jasper seems to have gotten himself in a position where torture is necessary. He has quite the mouth on him, doesn’t he? Don’t worry, Ill soon cure him of that.” Another chuckle, and then a pause. “Do me a favor, dear: Next time I call, can you hand the phone over to Logan? I have so much I want to talk to him about. Take care.” Alec flipped the phone closed and tossed it onto the couch. He would give them a little time before calling again. Manipulation cannot be rushed.

Jess was re-wrapping her wrist as she was sitting in the chair in the living room when suddenly her phone beeped. She took out her phone and it read, "One missed call. One voice mail." She tilted her head and looked at who had called, "...Jasper?" Logan looked over to her and said, "What about Jasper?" Jess turned her head to him and said, "It says that I have a missed call from him..and one voicemail. Hold on..I'm gonna listen to it." She dialed the number and listened. Her mouth dropped, it wasn't Jasper...it was Alec.
"Jessica dear, you really should answer when I call. It's rude to leave me waiting like this. But never mind that, how are things? Your husband? And your child? How old should little Bella be? Oh my, she would have been well into school by now. But I suppose none of that matters anymore. You seem to have moved on. I don't blame you, though your latest attraction doesn't seem to be doing well. Jasper seems to have gotten himself in a position where torture is necessary. I have so much I want to talk to him about. Take care."
The phone dropped out of her hand and crashed onto the floor. She pulled her knees to her chest and buried her head, she hadn't heard that wicked voice in years. Flashbacks started to shoot back into her mind of the last time she saw him, the last time she saw Chris, the last sonogram she had gotten of Bella and tears began to slip down her face. Images of her blood soaked dress, bloody fiance, and everything of that day filled her mind. Logan looked over again and walked over as quickly as his injuries would allow. He picked the phone off of the floor and listened to the voicemail and his face turned angry. Alice walked over to Jess and pulled her into a hug, trying to calm her down. "Logan..I'm going to kill him if it's the last thing I do."
