Eve pads into the meadow, her steps are slow and carefully measured. In her mouth she holds her newly born talaye.

Reclining in the shade of an oak tree, Ovid flicked idly through a book, muttering the verses under his breath, his voice raising in some passages, the passion of the words intoxicating his brain. He knew there were others about, but was not able to tear himself from the beautiful words stretching before his eyes.

Serenity jumped into the Meadow, having seen another bug sneaking away in the grass. She pounced it, then noticed the new Tala pup, and the adult she'd never met. Bouncing over to Eve and Willow, she stopped in front of the two Talaye, tail wagging excitedly. How fun it was to make new friends! Much funner than chasing any bug.
"Wern!" {Hello!} Serenity smiled happily up at them. "Krin orco, arn opam!" {I've never seen you here before, I'm Serenity.}
Miko padded in a bit slower after her daughter, scanning the Meadow for any Talaye she knew. The pups were fun, but she did like to talk with the adults once in a while. She noticed Ovid and snuck over to him, peering over his shoulder to see what he was reading. "What're you reading?" She asked, blinking at the poetry.

Aurora trots over to the others, and looks at the little one in Eve's mouth. She pokes at it gently with her left paw and inquires to Eve. "Who dat?"

Eve gently puts Willow down and turns to Aurora.
"That's my pup Willow. She just came out of the basket today."
Willow turned and regarded Serenity. She then smiled back at her. "I'm Willow" she said quietly. "I haven't been here before. It's my first day out of the basket, she explains.

Startled by the sudden voice behind him, Ovid jumped, his book slamming closed. Looking over his shoulder at Miko, he tried to cease the rapid beating of his heart, breathing deeply. "Don't sneak up on me like that, you almost gave me a heart attack! I was reading some Yeats poetry."

Miko couldn't help but laugh a little, bowing her head a little in apology. "Sorry about that, you looked so into your book I just had to see what you were reading. Yeats, you said? What kind of poetry does he write?" She looked truly interested about the topic, as her Mama hadn't chosen to (or had forgotten) to inform her about Yeats' poetry.
"Rah! Kyoo nyar juka." {Hi! I think you'll have lots of fun here.} Serenity then noticed Skylar, and introduced herself. "Nui ka!" {I think we should all go play!}

Astonished, Ovid looked over Miko with wide eyes. She hadn't heard of Yeats? Flicking open the book once more, searching for a choice poem. "He wrote many poems, but my favourite pieces are his war poetry. Here- my favourite poem by him." Having found the right page, his prodded at the words with one paw. Written on the yellowing paper was the following verse:
An Irish Airman Foresees his Death
I know that I shall meet my fate
Somewhere among the clouds above;
Those that I fight I do not hate,
Those that I guard I do not love;
My country is Kiltartan Cross,
My countrymen Kiltartan's poor,
No likely end could bring them loss
Or leave them happier than before.
Nor law, nor duty bade me fight,
Nor public men, nor cheering crowds,
A lonely impulse of delight
Drove to this tumult in the clouds;
I balanced all, brought all to mind,
The years to come seemed waste of breath,
A waste of breath the years behind
In balance with this life, this death.

"Oh wow.." Miko's eyes read over the page, astoished at the emotion in Yeats's words. "It's..wow." She looked up at Ovid, completly amazed. "I can see why Dris reads so much now." Laughing a little, she glanced down at the book again. So much emotion in those little words, on that old page.

Remus padded in slowly, staring at the ground as he did so. He still hadn't quite figured out why he was so upset with the pups, but at least he wasn't boiling mad at them anymore, nor was he upset with his parents and friends. Still, just coming back to the meadow felt quite uncomfortable. Sighing, he sat a ways off from everyone else, watching them from behind a smallish bush.

Nodding at her words, Ovid gazed, entranced, at the words. The magic weaved inside his mind everytime he saw a poem never changed, the spell always worked it's way through his brain, waking long forgotten sense. "Yes, it's like you can understand his emotions more with every syllable."

"I'll have to make Lori take me to the library to check out some more of this poetry, it's amazing." Miko nodded, making a mental note to bother Lori into taking her. Then she could read it to Serenity, and though the pup probably wouldn't understand the true meaning behind the words, it would be good for her.
Seeing her brother, Serenity forgot why she'd been standing there asking the other pups to play, and ran off to see her brother. "Rek!" {Remy!} Her mother had told her his name, of course. Now she stood at his feet, eyes bright and tail wagging. The epitome of cute. And so very annoying at the moment.

Aurora trots back into the meadow, having left to have dinner and such with her mommy.
She looks around. "Where everyone?"
