I think that French sounds the prettiest because you can say any old crap in it and so long as you don't understand what is being said it sounds beautiful and poetic
Now, while I dont entirely agree with the statement.
That reminds me of the time when my Literature teacher Miss Raimond demonstrated just how influential the tone of your voice can be. She smiled at one of our students and cooed in a complimentary tone a few words of French - But they were insulting things I shall not repeat.
And then she whirled around, stormed up to another student and pointed accusingly at them, screaming German at them as if they had just commited the most unforgivable of blasphemies. She had said, "Do you have a double room for the night, please?" But the student cringed so. D:
