Charlie sneezed again, wiping her nose on her sleeve. She grinned and ran into the clubhouse. "Tobi!"

Abby smiled and looked at Charlie hugging Tobi. "Just like old times." She smiled. Memories began to flood her mind. Abby looked around poking through drawers. She picked up a picture of the four of them at the beach. In the picture Jole had his arm around Abby's shoulder and Charlie was chasing Tobi because he had stolen her favorite hat. "Hey, you guys look. Remember this?" She asked showing them the picture. "This was our first summer together."

"Yeah!" She grinned at the picture, then turned to rummage through the drawers. She pulled out the hat Tobi had stolen all those years ago, a little black hat with cat ears sticking out the top (Charlie was a manga fanatic back then), and put it on.

Abby laughed. "Still looks good on you." She said. Then she saw them. Abby gasped as she looked in the draw. "Yes! My lucky art utensils!" She put them in her bag now fully satisfied that she finally got them back. When tried to close the drawer but it wouldn't close all the way. Something was blocking it. She opened it more and a book fell out. "Oh my goodness. I totally forgot about this book. 'Everlasting Friendship.'" She read. Abby opened up the book and looked through the pages. In the book were secrets only the four of them knew, pictures of them, and written things about anyone. Abby laughed when she flipped the page again. The whole entire page was her writting badly about her art teacher. "Miss Cruella Mossiack. I almost forgot how much I hated her. I wonder if she's still alive."

"Oh her?" Charlie peaked at the paper. "She married Mr. Morgans, our history teacher, last year." Mr. Morgans was Charlie's favorite teacher, one of the nicest ones in the school.

Abby gasped. "They got married?! But she's like 20 years older than him." She shuddered. "That's gross. Then again at least she married a very good looking man. Moving on." She flipped another page. "Aw, Mrs. Williams our old English teacher. She was the sweetest thing in the world."

"She's retired and moved to Florida." Charlie smiled. "I think she remarried."

Aby smiled. "Good for her." She put the book down and looked around the room. "A lot of things happened here." She pushed some old fabric aside. "Hmm, my old paintings." Something shiney glistened on the floor. "Charlie look." She said picking up the necklace. "Our friendship necklace." Abby rumaged through some drawers and started moving things around. "But I don't see the other one."

"That one's yours." She tugged the other necklace out of her pocket. "I keep it on me."

"Oh yeah." Abby smiled. "I guess I forgot about it." She put it around her neck. "Now I won't."

She put it on, great. "Hey, Tobi, Jole, where are your bracelets?" She grinned.

Jole shifted uncomfortably.
"Um..."
He bit his lip, his eyes locked onto Abby's.
"I kinda... Lost it. At a party," he muttered, blushing violently. He couldn't bring himself to tell them the whole truth.
One winter night after of his big gigs, he got ridiculously drunk and drugged up at a backstage afterparty. Looking back, Jole was ashamed at the stuff he took that night. Of course, in those days, that was normal. Everybody did it. A girl who said she was a huge fan of the band begged him to take her back to his apartment. They spent the night together.
When Jole woke up the next morning, he couldn't find any trace of her - along with his wallet, his watch, some of his photos... and the bracelet.
Jole looked down, a heavy weight settling in his chest. He didn't like thinking about it.
I came home to forget about all that stuff, not to be reminded of it...

He looked in Abby's eyes to answer her question.
Tobi stuck his arm up. "Right 'ere." he smiled, yawning.
Charlie sat down, feeling a bit depressed. She fiddled with her necklace, looking at the ceiling.

Jole saw Charlie sit down, a sad look in her eyes. He slid down the wooden wall he was leaning against and sat morosely on the floor, his legs bent upwards, his arms resting upon his knees. He sighed.
"Good for you, Tobi," he said, without any real conviction.
