He stared. That's all he could really do. Kiba was just too shocked by the sudden appearance of the bloody boy with the dead rabbit to do anything else but stare at him. It was not everyday that he saw something like this and it shocked then interested him. He's gonna need a lot more than just a sink to clean all that up. Kiba thought as he heard the boy request to go to the bathroom. 'Karite' eh? I'll probably need to try and remember his name I suppose. Ofcourse, Kiba barely noticed Kore since he had been so intirgued by the bloody Karite. He wondered if he should go ahead and introduce himself or if he should let Karite wash off first. After a bit of deliberation he decided to just stand nearby and wait.

As the first student came in, Tenko bowed her head towards him. "Good morning," she said sweetly in her soft angelic voice. The woman's first reaction towards the next student was one that came naturally to a nurse. She saw the blood on his hands and instantly thought he was wounded. "Are you alright?" Tenko asked in concern as she stepped towards the boy. The stout nurse was quite oblivious when it came to picking up on details, so it took her a moment to realize that it wasn't the boy's blood. "Oh! Oh, yes, please do. Uhm, I may advise that you do not bring dead animals into the academy," she said a little uneasily as she realized that there was in fact a dead rabbit in his hands.
While Tenko was nice and polite about the situation, Kumiko was not. "What the hell do you think you're doing bringing such a thing in doors!?" the woman yelled slightly. "We're shinobi not barbarians. Today's lesson should suit your kind," Kumiko said with a little huff. "You boys go head down to the library. Douken-san will be teaching you there today," Kumiko said to the boys and then returned her glances to Karite once again. "And I suggest you ask permission for your beast to enter before waltzing in," Kumiko said, throwing a little hint for him to use some manners in the village.

While set back by the scolding it did not dampen Karite's smile. He bowed with respect forgetting where had come from. "I do apologize. I saw no need to leave Kore behind. He is my friend. Next time I will wait outside with him." Standing up his dark green pny tail falling behind his back. He turned to Kore and give him the rabbit. "Go outside while I wash up, and try not to eat the whole thing." Turning back to the two nurses. "Actually ma'am my hand got a little cut up from some training I was doing. i was wondering if you wouldnt minde taking a look at it for me. It stings really bad." Karite had t remember just because he was not under his parents watchful eye he needed to remain a gentlemen. Ladies were treated with respect and how one carried themself was always an important factor.
Kore was shocked by the response the two people gave him. Two completly opposite reactions, yet he could sense the same kind of emotion. Karite's reaction was much more shocking then either. Friend? Didi that mean that Karite found him to be a loyal and well deserved companion? His mind however was quickly distracted by the rabbit Karite gave him. Smiling with the bloody mess in his mouth he turned and trotted outside to devour his meal in piece. Save some for Ruha. The boy must have been joking. His black paws clicking on the hardwood floor with every step made it said like tiny nails were being dropped until Kore made his way outside. It was not to hot but it was rather chilly for a animal with barely any fur to block the heat. Laying down near the door Kore began to rip into the flesh quickly hoping there would be nothing left by the time Karite came out.

Hanabira came walking up to the Academy with her head in the clouds. She had graduation on her mind and it was clouding her mind up so much that she had barely taken note of the little lion outside the academy. The freckle faced had been in Shimagakure for quite a long time to the point where she was comfortable around the lions of the Tategami clan. There had even been a time when Hanabira had lived with the Tategamis when she lived on the mainland, before her family passed away. The girl also knew enough that one should not disturb a lion when they were feasting, so Hanabira passed by quietly to enter the academy. As she walked in, Hanabira noticed that she was among the firs still. Kiba and another boy, Karite she believed, were the only ones. It took no time at all to connect the dark skinned boy with the lion. There were three people in the small lion clan now; Shuga, Maya and Karite. Hanabira had been rejected to join the clan since she was physically weak. She also had talent in genjutsu, which the Tategami's did not.
Continuing into the classroom, Hanabira took note of Kiba now. He had been in her class yesterday with Tomoko. She hadn't been given a chance to really speak with him or socialize at all, but Hanabira didn't talk to most people. She knew him as Serena's kin and that was as far as her concern with him went. Hanabira wouldn't mind learning more about him, but she figured he wouldn't really make the extra effort to speak to her. This was alright with Hanabira since she was sure he wouldn't really like her anyway. Taking a seat in a desk, Hanabira's olive eyes looked through her lenses at the board. They were dividing the class up between girls and boys? That was something new to Hanabira...

“Orochi-kun….” Shisei thought. He didn’t feel like becoming friendly with people. Nor did he want them to become so friendly until has mind had made a certain amount of evaluation on their character. Yet they seemed more drawn to him. One day he’d have to build some mask and work on a more terrifying face. Letting out a small sigh the serpent youth watched as the girl introduced herself and beckoned him to follow her to the academy. “Yes. I am a first year. My name is Orochi Shisei.” his voice responded as he met her stride.
As they walked he began to bite into his fruit. By the time the students made it to the academy Shisei noticed a small lion cub outside devouring a rabbit with much delight. "Odd..." he thought to himself. His mind began to wonder how common were these weird occurrences. Maybe the tanned associate may know. "How long have you been in Shima? And is that supposed to be normal?" Shisei questioned Orika while letting his head tilt to the jungle kitten.

Kiba sighed. Even though earlier he ha decided to throw himself into whatever training with 110% of his effort he felt that this would be hard to do at the library. What could they possibly do that was productive at the library? "So much for maybe doing sword training..." he muttered under his breath.
Having gotten over the depression that the thought of training at the library had brought on Kiba became puzzled by the fact that the classes would be divided into boys and girls. He wondered what the meaning of that could be. Maybe it's because Yume's too much of a pervert to be aloud to train with girls. The young Raiken thought to himself with a smirk as he remembered the Hyuuga youth. As he turned to leave he caught, out of the corner of his eye, a familiar face-- Hanabira. He didn't really know her he just remembered her from Tomoko's class and quickly waved to her as he walked away.

Swallowing a juicy bite of melon, Orika wiped the soggy pieces that clung to her upper lip into her mouth. When she had finished about half the melon, a throb in her stomach advised the girl to save the rest for lunchtime. It was a good thing that Shisei had gotten her a pretty big fruit since she'd probably have no energy to go out and get her own food when lunch came. However, as soon as she entered the academy with Shisei and saw who the teachers were, the girl's jaw dropped. They were gonna be taught by Tenko and Kumiko, two nurses who haven't seen a wit of fighting in their entire lives? Worse of all was the fact that the class was to be divided by genders, which probably meant her class would be learning about manners... or sewing... or if the roguish Kumiko was daring enough... even-! Orika looked down at her ripped cargo shorts and ground her teeth, a warmth spreading through her face. Her olive skin didn't let the blush show through to anyone but those standing right by her.
She almost missed the Orochi's question in her flusterings. "Me? I lived on the rice farms thataway since Shimagakure was created," Orika boasted and pointed to the northeast, "There's all sorts of weirdos on this island so you'll get used to it after a while. We've got cannibals, drunken pirates, and even crazy dark priests roaming around." The girl watched the lion cub scamper away, a smile coming to her face when the rascal started to devour the rabbit. So far there were only a handful of people at school and out of those, she only recognized Hanabira and the boy in yellow whose name she couldn't remember. All Orika knew was that he was a Raiken and in a more advanced class. Regardless, the girl casually waved to the two. She then sprung backwards, plopping her butt onto a desk and stared at Kumiko. After a while, she asked the only question that seemed appropriate, "What are we doing today, Kumiko-san?"

Serena finished her apple on the dash over to the academy and threw the core away just as she began sprinting up the steps. "I'm almost there, almost there...oh please please please don't tell me I'm late! Come on -OH!" It turned out that she had just missed the door she was supposed to enter while talking to herself. Quickly she reached for the side of the door and swung herself in. Her balance was pretty bad by then and she barely kept herself from falling over. "Eh, just like the first day here.." She sat down in a desk to catch her breath and turned to one of the teachers today. "Am I late for class?" she managed to pant out in a worried tone. For 2nd years in her class, they probably wouldn't be too surprised by her entrance..after all, it was just like the first day, then the second day, and probably many other days at the academy.

Shin was fumbling around as he approached the academy. His hands were scratching the back of his head and rubbing the side of his arm. He wasn't sure why he felt so uneasy, but there was just an unsettling feeling in his stomach. Sleeping in and missing training with Naoki this morning made him feel a little guilty and rotten, but he would promise her they would train after school! While thinking of this, he fell in step behind Shisei and the girl from the farm a top the hill. Once he took notice of them, he saw another familiar person dart past him and go up the stairs. It was Serena, Kiba's senpai. She was talking to herself, which Shin had to admit was rather cute. Seeing her so frantic put Shin at a bit of an ease as he walked up the steps. As he took his first steps, he spotted the lion. "Ah!" he yelped in surprise and jumped up the last remaining steps like someone had stabbed him in the rear with a sword. His heart beat was racing when he came into the classroom. The thought of a lion tearing the flesh of a carcass from bones just made him a little queasy.
Once inside the classroom, Shin took a deep sigh and looked around. He felt a bit more safe in here. Kiba was just walking out and the others were still congregating. The nurses from the clinic were the ones teaching today. Looking past the nurses, Shin's eyes caught the writing on the board. They were splitting them up into two groups of boys and girls? Shin thought that it was rather elementry, but he would go with it. Putting his hand on the back of his neck and rubbing a bit, he began his turn to leave when a certain someone caught his eyes. It was Hanabira. He felt his stomach go in twists and the immediate thought of holding her hand through the village jumped into his mind. Not really sure how to react, Shin quickly bolted out the door. "Guess we're going to the library," Shin said with a weak smile and rushed words towards Shisei on his way out.
Not wasting anymore time, Shin took up a fast paced walk and left the academy building rather quickly. He had noticed the lion on the way out again and darted away from the front stairs. This village was crazy! Animals feasting on flesh casually like that. Shin tried not to think about it too much as he tried to catch up with Kiba.

"Oh! Oh! Your are hurt!" Tenko said, getting all worked up over the fact that she didn't rush to his attention the moment she saw the blood. She would never assume things ever again! "Yes! Let's get you cleaned up! Come along! We don't want it to get infected or diseased from the animal you just had. Oh, my. Oh, my," Tenko was off in her nervous tantrum as she escorted Karite towards the single bathroom in the academy. She immediately got some fresh water and began washing off the room. "I apologize for the stinging," she said, knowing the warm water would bite a little at first. "Here's a fresh bandage as well," the woman said, drying up his wound and then wrapping it up and pinning it together neatly and securely. It was clear that Tenko was quite the professional at dressing wounds. She had her fair share of practice with living in Shimagakure. "Alright! You should head down to the library then," the woman said with a small smile on her round face.
While Tenko went out of her way to tend to the little scratch, Kumiko was left in the classroom with Hanabira, an arriving Orika and Serena, who was a Raiken. Kumiko was surprised to see Orika at the academy, since she thought the girl was merely a farmhand for her family, but Kumiko didn't quesiton her presence. "We'll be learning about social standards, conduct and manners. Some missions require under cover work, especially in classy residences to gather intel or prepare for an assassination. We're also going to teach you a bit about cosmetics and how to wear a kimono properly," Kumiko explained and then smiled when the Raiken girl sat down. "You're all just on time. Once Tenko comes back we'll get started," Kumiko said, excited to teach these young minds how to seduce a man and how to look good doing it!

Karite smiled and said "Dont worry about it. I am sure it will be fine." Turning on his heels he noticed everyone that had come in smiling and waving his blood filled hands he walked by them on his way to the bathroom. The boy was half naked. All he had left were his dirty white pants. The women had dragged him around the school like a little girls stuffed toy. As she drug him into one of the bathrooms she took good care tof his wounds making shure he was fine, although it did sting a bit. The new bondages were tight and seemed to fit nicely. Squeezing a fist he ntoiced no blood followed which was good. "Sorry about that but you might be seeing a lot of me in the years to come. I tend to push myself to hard. Thank you again Misses Tenko-sama." Walking out of the bathroom he walked the hallways clean of blood and dirt and new bandages on his hand and the scars on his chest fresh. Except for the scared chest and raw knuckles he was back to normal. Rushing outside the academy walls to looke for Kore before he ate the entire rabbit. He had found him finishing the last bit of the rabbit flesh. "You know your a greedy little lion cub. I gues you deserve it though you did catch it. Come on lets head tot he library I will find this Podo guy and get some more food later on after class."
Kore had noticed many people coming and going from the academy but two that stuck out were Shin and Shesei. One was very pale and had reptalin like features. Looked scarey in his own way. The other was a normal looking boy but seemed to jump every time he passed. Cowards like that were allowed to become warriors like Maya and Shuga? That was strange running from a little cub the way he did. Shurgging off the thought he quickly began to eat the rest of the food when Karite came out. Perfect timing it was. Standing weaving his tail from side to side he rubbed his body against his legs in a gloating manner. As he began to move forward Kore followed close to his side. Karite was his...friend after all.

Shisei took in the taller girl’s words as he looked around the classroom. “Cannibals… priests…” none of the things she said sounded comforting. Danger lurked all around the island. It did not scare the snake child. When one of those problems arose, he would then take care of it. Instead his mind glanced at the chalkboard. There were two nurses that appeared they would be teaching the class. The class would also be separated, based on gender. It didn’t take long for the young snake to discern why. It was only further validated when he saw Orika begin to glow slightly pink around her dark cheeks. “It must be to have a ‘talk’ with them.” his busy mind told him.
The boy watched as the girl bounced to her seat and stayed back in a corner for a few minutes. Even if they were having a special talk, there must be something else they would be doing for the rest of the day. His fangs dipped into the melon as he quietly scanned the affairs happening among the room. He watched the child puzzler bumble into the classroom almost falling on her face. She seemed different now. Not like the day before when her mind felt there was nothing that she didn’t know. Next to stumble in was the tall meter stick. He yelped in surprise before entering. His mind read the board then walked out giving Shisei a small smile. Shisei did not respond back. Another girl was there too. His brain had a faint memory of the girl on the first night of the leviathan like creature. That was all he remembered about her.
One of the nurses began to speak of the lesson for the females. That was Shisei needed to know so he departed right after. Conduct and manners? Cosmetics and kimono wearing? That was something that should have been learned at home and further strengthened over the years. That sort of training should have begun when they were in diapers. The serpent youth was happy not to be a part of this class. It seemed to him to just be a waste of time. His feet marched him towards the library.

Like almost every morning she came to school, Tanu was in a sour mood. She didn't bother brushing her hair or even washing her face. Her pink and brown clothes were all wrinkly from sitting in a heap in the corner of her room. Who really knew if they were clean or not? As she came into the academy, she didn't pass by anyone on her way in since they had all left. Tanu was slightly surprised to see that the only people in the classroom were girls. There were three of them and now four counting Tanu. The Kun Kumo with the minty green hair really didn't get along with people in general, but she had never been a friend to another girl. They were all prissy, soft and liked to use the fact that they were weak to their advantage. She quickly sized up each of them with her crimson and green eyes. Long hair in a pony, short brown hair with freckles and a dirty chopped up girl with a pretty cloth in her hair. "Great..." Tanu mumbled to herself as she slouched down into a desk away from all of them. She just wanted Shin or Kiba to arrive, so she could either pick a fight or dominate over someone. That's when Tanu finally looked towards the board and saw that they were dividing the class up by gender today. "What the hell!?" Tanu shouted, sitting forward so far in her desk that she was nearly standing. "Why are we split up like this? We can train with the boys! At least I know I can. I can pummel that little Orochi kid to nothing. I could take on all these three at once with no problem!" Tanu shouted, angered at the fact that she had to be with these weaklings.

Orika perked up as the next few students entered. "Hey, Serena," she waved in a friendly manner, wondering if the girl recognized her. Her attention was diverted from the pink-topped older girl by the sight of the cowardly Shin. She'd seen the boy run away before so it didn't really make sense that with his speed, he'd be afraid of a little lion cub. The tiny thing had just eaten too, although Orika supposed that the fresh blood decorating the black-pawed lion could have been interpreted as scary. Nah, the little cub looked even cuter that way. Orika was about to greet Shin when the skinny boy ran out, followed shortly by Shishei. Her wonderings at whether she'd have been better off in the boy's class was answered as soon before Kumiko was finished with her first sentence
"What?" Orika moaned, her face scrunching up a little bit more each time Kumiko mentioned another item they'd be learning. By the time the nurse mentioned kimonos, it looked like the farm girl had just chewed up a whole lime. She ran away from that stupid girls' prep school in Tonato for the exact same thing here! Even worse was that her teacher tried to justify wearing kilograms and kilograms of frilly clothing in the name of assassinations. Orika thought it would be much easier to just transform into a man. Absentmindedly, she opened up her legs in a very unladylike fashion and pressed both hands into the center. The rascal then swung her hips and bare feet without care. As far as she knew, people didn't let women do anything in high end places. But, the girl knew better than to get Kumiko into a rage, even though she really didn't see the point of this kind of 'training.' Luckily, it occurred to the girl to ask about something to ward off the steam bubbling up inside. "What the hell are cosmetics?!" Orika half-asked, half-yelled, the question coming out much sharper than she expected. So much for keeping her anger contained. She slapped a tanned hand over her mouth, gnawing at the skin to keep from yelling out any more ill-bred words.
Or, that would have worked if a surly, emerald-headed girl hadn't waltzed in and immediately started to grouch about today's lesson without even hearing about what they'd be doing. However, Orika had been looking for a chance to blow up at the stupid class. She leapt to her feet and pointed a clenched fist towards the girl. "You wanna stand behind that big mouth?" Orika cried, narrowing her rusty eyes, "Cause it seems you're the opposite of Shishei: All talk and no substance!" She stared right into the obnoxious girl's orange-rimmed eyes, daring her to make another move. The brat could have been the best fighter in the whole school, but Orika didn't care. There was no way she'd let someone size her down on appearance alone. That was stupid and that was just like learning how to dress all prettily and not letting people know the real her.

The academy was finally in sight; Akiko hoped she wasn’t late, though she didn’t appear to be in any rush. On her way here she walked casually down the roads as she enjoyed the weather and remembered landmarks.
The content girl began to unwrap her white scarf from her mouth and nose as she approached the building, she wondered if she was late since it was so peaceful outside.“I take that back.” She thought as she entered the building.
“You wanna stand behind that big mouth?” Are the words that changed her mind, that and the words that followed, something about Shishei…did that name sound familiar? So far she got the impression that shima was truly a lively place, it amazed her that there was so much commotion this early in the morning.
Entering the source of the noise the first thing the winter clad girl noticed was the two girls that were yelling, the second thing was that the classroom was filled with only girls, the third the teacher was different from yesterday, and the last was the board; which explained why there were only girls. “It appears there will be two teachers today.” She pointed out to herself as she took a seat in an empty desk near the front of the class.
The all white wearing student took a look around at the faces of the class, she wondered if one of the girls here was her roommate. She mentally sighed at the fact that she had no idea what she looked like, not having the chance to meet her, or see her. She shrugged it off as she continued to glance at the other girls. She took note of the one with the multi-colored eyes; Akiko remembered her from yesterday. She wondered what got her so worked up…the pale boy isn’t here after all… “I wonder if he’s okay...” But she shrugged that off too as she remembered the principal, Yuki-sama, was taking care of him.
Akiko ended her observation early, deciding she could continue as the day went on. As for now she would stare at the board till class started.
