He had failed to untie the farm girl which meant he had to say something else about himself. “Damn it… why me…” the boy thought to himself allowing his fingers to stop meddling with the twine for a minute. It was time for him to spill more information, but the snake child still wasn’t willing to say anything relevant. “Something else about me. Hmm. I don’t like teamwork.” the child said looking towards their keeper. “Senpai. Karite needs to learn how to work together with others if he wants to join your clan. I am not trying to be apart of your clan though. Why don’t you let the others train on teamwork and you teach me what jutsu you know?” the child said as his gold orbs returned to the knot. He somehow had accomplished in making it tighter. Well he’d have to try and retrace his steps into getting the active girl out of the predicament. “Keep still so I can figure this out.” the Shisei ordered Orika as his eyes began to review just what mess he may have tied the girl into.

Maya bared her teeth and snarled at the Orochi. "I don't particularly care what you or the other two of you like and dislike - you'll train as you're told. You aren't more important than the others, an' you're not less important. But I'll be the judge of when to teach you what - question me again and you'll learn the hard way." Maya snapped her teeth at the boy to emphasize her point, annoyed. He was cocky; no wonder Shinichi picked on him. Shaking her head in disgust, she stood and walked away from the trio, rubbing her forehead. What had she gotten herself into? Sure, she needed practice in dealing with other people that didn't speak lion, but still...

“This person…” Shisei thought irritated. He didn’t know which was worse. This wild fang or Ero sensei. Either way he wanted to chuck a stone at both of them. The snake child would relent for now. He didn’t how tough this amazon thought she was or actually is, but she had the ace with the lion. The snake child knew he couldn’t face a full grown lion yet. There would be one day though… when he was fully grown, this woman and that volatile red head would rue their lives. But until then Shisei re focused on tighter knot he had created. His eyes and rescanned it and he believe he saw the problem. He should have pulled the left piece over the right instead of the other away around. His fingers undo what was done before taking out the twists and he twirls. Then he allowed one piece to go through a loop. He knew what to do now. “You know... I think I like it better when you’re tied up. You’re not as troublesome.” the stolid voice says to Orika. His mind was considering to see if he could tie a knot so strong and tight that she couldn’t get out, but then the savage teen may just bind to a tree upside down or something of the sort. Instead he allowed the rope to drop to ground and his body rose to its full, yet short height. “You’re free.” he tells hopper before his eyes return to lion tamer. “Ok we’re done. What is the next exercise…” the boy asked which slightly came out as a command. The faster he was done with this teamwork crap the faster this woman would teach him some techniques.

Maya glared at him, and gave him a dirty grin. "Now you work as a team, starting with, of course, you, Shisei. Since you're so eager an' all." Maya pointed at one of the many logs surrounding the camp - there were six total, and only three of them had been moved around the campfire to their proper positions. "Together, you're all going to move those logs to match the three already around the fire. Since your injuries don't seem to be bothering you much, Shisei, you can make the most effort. Karite and Orika, you'll help anyway, as best you can." Maya motioned, crossing her arms and showing that she was plainly agitated with the Orochi boy. She didn't know what the hell his problem was, thinking that he could order her around. She motioned for Baki to go to her tent to check the cubs sleeping there, and supervised the three without him by her side. She didn't want him to jump in if she had to beat any sense into them.
Teamwork: Moving Logs You will be using teamwork to complete this exercise. Per teamwork training rolls, you will use this formula. (Sorry about the shut up Katz)
Karite had the urge to jump the gun and blow a gasket, but he knew Maya was right and she was being calm with him. stressing his wounds would not help him in the long run. Waiting for Shisei to finish he noticed the boy was in a rush. "Shisei, shut up! Your only going to get us all in trouble. I swear if I have to do anything because you couldn't be patient and stick with us I wont be the one getting bandaged up. So calm down and shut up." Karite could feel his blood getting hot under his skin. It was boiling. Maya had struck some vital spots in his defenses and she wasn't even trying yet. The usually kind and nice person he was was being disrupted by the woman's own personality and laconic honesty. The veins in Karite's neck were sticking out and pulsating intensely. The boy was getting light headed. Karite wasn't one to get angry quickly, but being around Maya and Shisei was peeking his levels a lot faster than normal. Karite's tan skin began to become darker and his dead eyes began to shift violently. sitting down quickly the boy grabbed a handful of snow in both hands and put them to his face. when Maya began speaking of the next exercise he shook his head. "Do you see what I mean Shisei? Don't piss her off she is more the capable of killing you without Baki." Karite knew she wouldn't but she could do it with no problem. Shisei was not helping them right not more then hurting them in the long run. Turning to Orika the snow still on his face. "Orika, how is your leg doing?" Asking questions would cool his mind from the words he didn't want to hear until he could fight back. Now was not the time. He knew if it came down to it he could push harder then she could and fix the wound later. He was more worried about her and Kore then himself.

"Karite! Control!" Maya barked, walking towards him and putting a firm hand on his shoulders. "Tategami are passionate, not cruel. We teach hard - and Shisei will learn his lesson. I don't want to have to teach you more than I have to." Maya patted his shoulder and let him go, walking towards Orika and kneeling, checking the girl's leg. Perhaps she shouldn't be pushing her...but then, Orika had enough heart to do anything she put her mind to. With a single nod of her head, she stood. The leg would heal fine - the bone had been set by Tenko and it looked and felt good beneath the heavy crap it was wrapped in. Turning back towards Shisei, and then towards Orika and Karite, she waited to see who would make the first move on their exercise.
--- Special 2 --- Orika is injured; her leg may not allow her to work side by side with Shisei and Karite. She has the option of cheering on the boys by using her Charisma Mod. If she chooses to do so, her Charisma Mod will not be halved when added to the formula; however, she will gain slightly less experience from the exercise.

Karite let the snow run its course and soon enough his body was back to normal and he could breath a little better. Feeling Maya's hand on his shoulder he felt at ease. Not something that was often felt in his life. Whipping his face with his sleeve he stood up and rolled his neck letting it crack ever so slightly. "Understood Maya. I cant say it wont happen again but I will try." A lot was happening really fast today and it seemed it wouldn't be slowing down anytime soon. His birthday was yesterday which made the young reaper one year older. Funny he spent his birthday in the hospital. After being sliced open by a very beautiful girl. Being 13 so far sucked. Yet there was still many more days to see how it would go. Standing the newly aged reaper walked towards a log and lifted his pants legs slightly. Digging in his feet the reaper was the first to begin pushing. He could feel his wounds opening but he would deal with the blood loss later. Right now he had some catching up to do

[Forget my roll. I misinterpreted the rules]
Shisei’s serpentine eyes slowly thinned at the reprimand he had gotten from the time reaper. “Did he really just speak to me in that way.”. He stood with a fierce look as if the teen would be the next person to end up missing on a milk carton. While the boy put snow on his face the serpent youth was wondering how long it would take him to undo the stitches that kept the boy’s flesh together. Probably no more than three minutes. Then for him to bleed to death would be another five. That would be a fitting death. Instead gold eyes watched as the short haired woman went to the boy’s side. The serpentine eyes watched as the boy’s face pulsed and he had to put snow on his face. At that time Shisei just felt greatly, and happily virulent. His brain was beginning to find the situation funny. He decided not to go through an entire speech since that would be a waste of time. Especially on such fools. His throat began to snicker at the display. “Is that a threat? Heh. Such a dangerous reaper you are with your torso cut half way open. You shouldn’t use strong words. They just make you look weaker.” he said as his face returned to its impassive look. “I can only take such a tone seriously from senpai. And don’t say the obvious. Of course she can kill me or all three of us at once. Ero-sensei could have killed me in training yesterday. The villagers still can try to assassinate me at anytime. It doesn’t mean I’m going to play nice, because you don’t like what I say.” Well he tried not to lecture them, but it still occurred. Ohh well. The emotional boy should be grateful then.
The snake child made his way towards the front of one log and began to heave it on his shoulder. “So instead of getting all emotional and whiny why don’t you help with this log instead of crying in your hands.” He was done speaking to silver eyes, now his face had turned to their trainer. This outburst had made him slightly curious about her. Or maybe Shisei just wanted to push her buttons too. “Senpai. You’re trying to teach us teamwork yet, where is your team? Who were your teammates?”

Maya hesitated and turned her face away from Shisei. "Baki is my partner. A team is three genin working together - my supposed 'teams' all abandoned me. So I learned to work with my partner more, an' we fight fine without anyone else. But you don't have a partner to rely on, Shisei. And you have...friends, I guess. Though you don't seem to like having people around you much." Maya said quietly, her tone of voice much less demanding than it had been when she was barking out orders for training. She rubbed her face with her hands, and sighed. "I was part of three squads - none of them wanted me. At least you gotta chance." She shook her head and gave a crooked smile. She didn't remember the last time she had talked so much in one day - usually, between her and Baki, there were no verbal exchanges at all. She shrugged her shoulders. "I am my own clan leader. I have my clan, at least. The lions need me...even if it's just a little bit."

Orika watched the scene helplessly, not sure what to say that would appease all the sides. When it became apparent that that was impossible, she sucked in a deep breath of air and calmed her raging nerves. It was no use to anyone for another person to get angry. Orika slowly rose to her feet, leaning on one crutch while she let the other one rot by the fire. These darn things would be slowing her down for a while so she had to take it easy. Orika placed her warm hand on Karite's shoulder and then moved to wipe a little bit of snow off his face. "You'll make a fine Tategami," she said with a gentle smile, "I can tell Kore loves you and Maya's always been a tough coot." She didn't really like to see so much dissension in people she was kinda close to. "My legs hurt a lot," Orika admitted honestly, her smile still ever present, "Especially cause of the snow, but it'll heal soon enough. Haha! I'll race you in healing, Karite!" Maybe that would get him to take it a little bit easy. Orika looked at the log and concluded that the boys would never move that thing by themselves. "Here," she addressed Shisei, limping over, "Lay the log on my shoulder. I'll take the middle position and just move along while you two hold it up."
She stared at the amber eyed serpent and sneered. The girl was shaking, for she found it extremely hard not to sock him in his pretty little face. That anger found its way out differently. "You're the weakest among us, Shisei!" Orika shouted, shaking a fist at the obnoxious boy, "You'd never make a good ninja! We're supposed to be working together and you act like you're so above everyone you can say whatever you want! Well, serpent boy, I swear if you don't shut up right now, Karite and I will beat your a** to the ground so bad you'd wish you died with the rest of those Orochis. That's what happens to people who think they're at the top. They get no respect and everyone still wants to take them down." She leaned in right to his face and stuck a finger right on his on his nose with a hopefully frightening glare, "You shun everyone you think is weak because you're weak yourself... and insecure too! You're projecting, Shisei. Baka." And before Maya could say anything, Orika turned her head and shot, "And I don't care what you do at that point, Maya. If I can rid the world of this creep, it'll be worth anything you throw at me!"

Maya gave Orika a small smile, and shook her head slowly. "He's kinda right - though he doesn't know the whole story. I'm going to check on the cubs...let me know when you've finished." With no more to say, for her thoughts were now all twisted and confused. Was she a bad teammate then, that her squads had all dissolved or left her, as was the case with Aya and Kana? Her friends, who she had thought were friends - Kiyo and Xyn, both gone. Maya gave the three one last look, her eyes soft, and ducked into the tent, smiling and feeling better as she spotted Baki's worried golden eyes and kneeling next to Ruha and Kore. Both cubs slept soundly, and Kore seemed to be relaxed. Maya sighed - that was a good sign. He wasn't twisting or shaking, so he was sleeping well. She curled up herself against Baki, closing her eyes and concentrating. Was she really all that bad of a team player ... ?
[I maybe forgot where Kore is, so feel free to minus me points for that! Lol!]

Shisei took in all of Orika’s abrasive words casually. After the eruption from Karite, the serpent’s mind was in a different place and was not surprise at such an outcry from her. Although for her to place even a finger upon him… well it is a good think Shisei is always collected. His face did not change or flinch at girl’s words. Serpentine eyes just stare into the girl’s mahogany pupils, before turning towards Karite. “You should have ordered your cat to crush her wind pipe instead of ankle. Then we wouldn’t have to listen to her constant, useless squabbling today.” His eyes then return to farm girl, swatting away her finger like it is a fly. “You gave me this scarf around my mouth.” Shisei starts dropping the log and raising the scarf till it is back just over his nose. “Because of that I am grateful and I won’t break your other ankle.” He then picks back up the log turning his back towards her, but his words can still be heard. “As far as I am concerned you are the weakest among us. Why is it you and Karite that have to beat me down? You can’t do it yourself? Well it doesn’t matter. Everything you say is trivial. If you are going to help with the log just shut up and lift. That’s all I require from you to pass this exercise. Not your mouth trying to defend Karite.” The snake turned back to speak again to Maya. Her reasons were becoming more interesting to the snake. The girl had already walked off. Shisei would have to ask when she came back one question. It did not occur to him before, but surely the woman would have met or been in the same class with Ms. Yuki’s daughter and Seshiro.
His hands had gripped the log, but he did not pick it up wholeheartedly. It seemed a lesson needed to be taught to his peers. Instead the white snake dropped the log back down. Glancing at the other two. “Since the two of you are so much better than me… and such a homely couple then the two of you should be able to lift this up on your own correct. It should be easy for such hot-blooded people.” Gold eyes watch passively to see their next move.
