That Beedrill hits pretty hard, so we should probably do something about that, Miharu's mind was racing even during the heat of battle. "Sparkle, use your Growl! Weaken them a bit!" she shouted, looking to her Pinsir next. "Pinsir, use your Seismic Toss on Butterfree, and try to protect Sparkle, okay?" The large bug nodded, glancing at the little sheep Pokemon before rushing towards the butterfly, pincers snapping together sharply. The Mareep had planted her feet firmly on the ground and was busy growling her little heart out at the Beedrill, who was definitely put off by the sound. It's buzzing became quite aggravated as it launched a volley of sharp little needles at Sparkle: a Poison Sting attack. Miharu crossed her fingers as her Pokemon was hit with the barrage, although the attack had been weakened thanks to all her growling. Luck was on her side and the poison didn't get into her system, at least this time.

Meanwhile, Pinsir had grabbed a hold of the terrified Butterfree's foot, and swung it through the air before slamming it onto the ground as hard as she could. As it struggled to get to its feet, its eyes once again glowed with the Confusion attack, and a second later Pinsir was sent flying backwards so quickly that Miharu had to jump out of the way to avoid being creamed by her own Pokemon.

Mightyena howled in pain as the heavy set Steel Pokemon slammed into his side. Mike made a pained face at the impact as well, as the snaps that could be heard were a horror to even imagine. The dog limply collapsed onto the ground, not even bothering to get back up. Vince snarled, recalling his Pokemon and spitting a few curses as he released his second and final Pokemon, Sharpedo.

Mike felt a shiver fly up his spine, those Pokemon always terrified him ever since he was kid. And to top it all off, that was one of the Pokemon that nearly killed Shiver. However, the Cloyster did not share his trainer's apprehension, a confident smirk still playing on his face as he waited for his comman. He felt Tentacruel tighten his grip and retaliated with a hard squeeze his own. He could feel the strain on his shell much more than earlier, and while he was still ready for more, a little freedom would be ideal.

"Okay Shiver, we're doing great so far, but we need to cut you loose from that. Ice Beam!" He wished that somehow his Cloyster would shoot out a Thunderbolt, just to end this obscene hug game Shiver was in. Taking in a deep breath, the Ice Pokemon blasted his own point blank beam at his opponent, scoring a direct shot on the side of the Jellyfish's face. Despite type disadvantage, he could tell that one hurt. But it's not enough to bring him down. "Kilik, I need help over here!" Mike called out, pointing to the Tentacruel. Mike racked his brain on how to end this tussle as the Tentacruel lobbed another Acid at Shiver, this one splashing on the Cloyster's outer shell.

Lairon returned to his trainer's side, proud of his conquering attack. His eyes immediately caught those of Sharpedo and he began to tense up once more. The Steel-type took a step forward. Kilik punched the air with his fist and laughed in victory. When he heard Mike's call for help, he turned his eyes over to the Tentacruel and nodded. "Ready for another Take Down, Lairon?" The boy glanced down at his megaton behemoth.

The beast was already running the moment Kilik executed the command. With every massive step, there was a small tremor beneath his feet. He roared loudly and smashed with all of his weight, focused at the front of his metal plating, aiming right for the tender underside of the Tentacruel. Kilik's eyebrows raised a bit. Man. He's a genius in battle, he thought, He somehow knew that the underside of a Tentacruel is it's weakest point. Though I wish... he laughed quietly to himself, "He would calm down."

It was as Miharu was watching her Pinsir pick itself up off of a cluster of flowers that a name sprang to mind. "I'm going to call you Petunia!" she said cheerily, receiving a thumbs up from the Stagbeetle in return. "Okay Petunia, get that Beedrill! Use your Vicegrip and hold it tight!" she commanded firmly, already loving the new Pokemon to pieces. Petunia gave an affirmative cry and dashed forward, lowering her head and ensnaring the large bee in her pincers. This did allow the Beedrill to attack Petunia right on the top of her head, and several sharp jabs caused the large beetle to release her prey and stagger back, swiping at the top of her head in a vain attempt to wipe the pain away. She was, however, incredibly angry, and she glared down the Beedrill as though it were her biggest enemy.

The Butterfree, meanwhile, had managed to regain its flight and was now trying to decide which foe was more dangerous. It was obviously the Pinsir, but in honesty, the butterfly's trainer wasn't the brightest bulb in the pack. He called for it to Tackle Sparkle, but the little sheep Pokemon happily bounced out of the way, her wool crackling with electricity with each hop. Miharu ordered another Thundershock, and the Mareep happily let the jolt fly, striking for another solid hit. Miharu smiled; the battle was definitely going well so far.

"I think it's time to wrap this up," Miharu said, stifling a big yawn. "Sparkle, finish that Butterfree with a final Thundershock!" the green-haired girl said, slashing the air with her arm. The happy little Pokemon did just that, generating another blast of bluish electricity that was enough to bring down the butterfly for good. Joshua grumbled, recalling the Butterfree with a sigh. "And that's why you failed to place in the contest," Miharu said smugly, watching as her Pinsir finished off the Beedrill with a Seismic Toss. The bee landed in a heap at its trainer's feet, and William was also quick to call it back. The two exchanged a look before their smiles darkened, and they simultaneously reached for another Pokeball each.

"Whaa...?" Miharu questioned as a Nincada and a Heracross were released in front of her, the scarred outer shell of the Heracross a sign that it was tougher than the two bugs Miharu's Pokemon had just faced. The Nincada looked fairly experienced as well as it waved its claws at Sparkle, a terrible screeching noise emitting from its throat.

"Nincada, use Dig!" Joshua shouted, nudging his parter, a wicked smile etched on both their faces. The smaller of the two bugs began to burrow, disappearing in only a matter of seconds. Miharu tensed up as the Pokemon vanished, fear running rampant in her mind.

"Go Heracross, use your Aerial Ace on Pinsir!" William commanded, pointing at Petunia. The large beetle's shiny carapace opened to let out its wings, and it flew at Petunia at an alarming speed. Miharu knew the attack too well (seeing as two of her own Pokemon knew it) to try and have her Pokemon avoid it, and she cringed as she watched her newest Pokemon take the heavy hit. Miharu called out for her Pokemon to fight back with another Vicegrip, but the strike was weak and hardly damaging. Miharu glared at the other bug, forgetting completely that Nincada was still underground.

"Whoo!" Mike pumped his fist in the air as the Tentacruel loosened his grip around Shiver with the heavy hit from Lairon, crashing to the floor in a crumpled mess. The Cloyster gave a sigh of relief as he wiggled his shell in joy, free from the annoying Water Pokemon's grip. "Alright Shiver, I think you deserve/want a bit of a break, so back in the ball you go. Good job!" Mike recalled his Pokemon, quickly swapping it for Beacon as he noticed Marty sent out his Golbat.

"What? He hasn't evolved into a Crobat yet?" The boy laughed, pointing at the Poison Pokemon, recalling Kasiya's Crobat, Fang. "What, it's been like, 4 months? It must not like you very much." Mike snickered, amused at how little they've improved.

Marty frowned, crossing his arms. "I'm getting sick of your attitude boy." The Aqua Grunt glanced at his Golbat almost expectantly, glaring at Vince when he heard a slight chuckle escape his partner. "He likes me just fine.! And another thing! I don't see you absolutely decimating us like you said you would, so shut your stupid mouth!" He was starting to lose his cool, and angrily ordered his Golbat to Sludge Bomb Mike's Ampharos, who much to the boy's surprise wasn't even facing the right direction. Beacon waved happily to his trainer as a chunk of explosive poison knocked him on his face.

Mike almost laughed, but felt that picking on the mentally handicapped was something unfit of a hero in active duty, so he choked it down. "Beacon, you gotta pay attention!" He scolded, waving his finger. "Now, I want you to show that meanie Golbat who the boss is with your Thunderbolt!"

Wiping a stray tear off its face, the loopy Pokemon hopped forward, cracking with electricity. He cried out, pointing its flippers at the Sharpedo. That's who he wanted me to attack right? A loud boom and a slight gust of wind could be felt as the electric attack launched out and blasted the shark full force.

Vince let out a surprised gasp, and would have laughed at the Ampharos' 'disobedience' if the Thunderbolt hadn't nearly knocked out his Pokemon in one hit. "Sharpedo, don't worry about that Ampharos!" The grunt yelled, knowing that his Pokemon was toast next stray breeze. "Try to take out the Lairon with Water Pulse!" The Brutal Pokemon, his health next to depleted, sputtered out an aquatic ring, shooting it at the Steel Pokemon in hopes of taking it out.

Kilik glanced over at the Ampharos and felt a bit surprised that it was Mike's choice. Not so much that it was one of his more powerful Pokemon, but Beacon never was the brightest Pokemon on the block. Why risk a loss, which wouldn't happen anyway, on a Pokemon who can't aim right? Or attack the right target? When he heard the command to take out his Lairon, the boy's attention snapped back. "Ahaha! Not so fast!" Kilik clenched his fists, "If you're going to take out Lairon, it seems like I'll have to take Sharpedo out with him." He punched his fist into his palm.

"Lairon, attack Sharpedo with your Take Down!" he commanded, "Run upstream of that Water Pulse!"

Lairon thought the idea was practically suicide. After all, wouldn't he take a load of damage from the attack? He wasn't that buffoon Ludicolo, after all. However, he was determined to show that he was in fact the strongest out of the seven Pokemon involved in the battle. Right as the Water Pulse came at him, he burst forward into the stream. It hurt him, a lot, as he pushed up through the water. His eyes, bright blue within the stream, locked onto his target: the inside of Sharpedo's mouth. Slamming his eyes shut, and with a great roar, he slammed his head full force against the roof of the shark's mouth and nose. The water stopped immediately after impact. His metal plate kept any harm from those sharp (now more-than-likely broken) teeth from sinking into him. He slammed on the floor, panting but still very much alive.

"Look at that!" Kilik laughed, shrugging and holding his nose up high, "Looks like he's a-okay." The boy gave his Lairon a thumbs up, "Which is much more than can be said about your Sharpedo."

Vince recalled his Pokemon, mortified at the two boy's powerful teamwork. "This, this can't be happening!" He screamed, scraping at his bandanna in disbelief.

Mike felt that pom poms should be in order after such an impressive attack. "Alright!" He cheered, Beacon clapping loudly. "And don't worry Kilik," Mike said reassuringly. "Beacon may not be the most accurate of Pokemon but he's my little buddy and can do whatever he wants to when he puts his mind to it!" The Ampharos trilled in utter joy, he loved compliments above all else. "Okay champ, let's show them once more your impressive Thunderbolt attack!"

"Not before we hit you first," Marty punched the air, a visible sweatbead slowly making its way down his face. "Golbat, one more Sludge Bomb!" The Bat Pokemon closed its mouth, churning disgusting toxic mess inside its body until violently vomiting a purple colored gunk ball at the Ampharos.

"Quick Beacon, fire your attack!" Mike shouted, stomping his foot so hard it hurt. The Electric Pokemon's eyes widened as the Sludge Bomb flew towards him, and fired a defensive bolt of lightning at it in hopes to somehow stop it. The two forces met in the air, pressing against each other for only a second before exploding, a shower of acid rained down on the battlefield. Beacon was splashed on the arm with the acidic attack, and yelped in pain as he frantically scraped the sludge off. The Thunderbolt attack that caused the detonation ripped through the small cloud of smoke left behind and blasted the Golbat for a super effective hit.

Mike looked over the Pokemon on the field, Beacon was doing fine aside from some acid burns and Golbat looked like he got the wind knocked out of him with that last attack. "Kilik, don't push Lairon so hard," The boy tried not to sound like a parent, and didn't mean anything particularly accusatory by it. He just worried about Kilik's Pokemon, as he knew they were not as strong as his, at least, he thought so. "You can never be too careful, use someone else!"

Kilik clicked his tongue and glanced over at Lairon. Sure, he was panting, but the beast was doing fine. Not to mention he now had a clear type advantage against that Golbat. However, he did consider that Lairon would most likely be a valuable asset later on in their quest to save Sasha. The whipped out the Pokemon's Great Ball and recalled him, kissing the top of the sphere before attaching it to his belt. He turned his attention to Vince and smirked. Now, who to pick?

There were a few Pokemon he could choose from, but he wasn't entirely sure which one. He could choose Weezing and blow everyone to kingdom come, but it'd be a bit of a waste this late in the battle. Scizor did have a slight advantage since she couldn't be touched by Poison-type moves. She'd be valuable against stronger foes, like Admins, later down the line as well. He snatched up Ludicolo's ball and let it fly. When he tossed it, he executed a command then and there. "Come out and use an Ice Beam on Golbat!" Kilik shouted. It was the first time in a while that the boy issued a direct order for Ludicolo - it was normally all styles.

The pineapple Pokemon burst from his ball and struck a pose in the air. "Luuuudi..." he placed his hands in front of him and a light blue ball began to form in his palms. Everything around the trainers and Pokemon began to get very cold the moment before he unleashed the Ice Beam directly at the bat. "COLO!"

And just like that Kilik had scored four out of four knockout blows in the battle. "Kick a** Kilik!" Mike cheered, truthfully disappointed he wasn't able to make a single enemy Pokemon faint. "That's the way to do it!" The Magma boy turned his attention to Marty and Vince, who were shaken up a bit. "Alright, I want to know about a certain someone who was taken here recently. A boy." Mike pounded a fist into his palm, attempting to look as menacing as possible.

"W-we don't know who you're talking about!" Marty replied, recalling his fainted Golbat angrily. He stood his ground, trying to keep up the lie.

"Yeah," Vince added, suddenly feeling quite vulnerable without his own Pokemon at his side. "Last haul we brought in was a girl anyway." The Aqua Grunt practically felt his teeth shoot out as Marty replied to his slip with a swift punch to the face.

Perfect. Mike smirked. That means she's definitely here. ...wait. The boy's brain went over the last sentence Vince said. The last haul we brought it. "You bastards!" The boy shouted, clicking on his gloves, then shooting a unintentional glare at Kilik. "You! Take that warp panel back then, we're splitting up!" Mike pointed to the panel behind them, on the other side of the pool where they warped into this room. "Call me if you have any problems!" He turned back to the two Aqua Grunts, flames shooting out from his hands. "How dare you kidnap an innocent girl!" He gave chase to the fleeing Grunts, angrily throwing fireballs at them as they escaped to the warp panel behind them. With a bloodthirsty scream, Mike dove after them, disappearing in a flash of light as Prickles ran frantically to keep up.

Kilik recalled Ludicolo, wearing a bright smile on his face. That was a lot easier than it looked. When he was about to say: "Oh Mike, I couldn't have done it without you," the other boy had already started talking to the grunts. The boy stood back and rested against the metal railing looming over the pool. Occasionally, Kilik glanced over his shoulder into the water below. By the time he turned around, Mike had already disappeared through the teleporter on the other side of the room. Popping his neck, Kilik walked along the railing and glanced over at the computers opposite him.

He took a seat and began to type away on the console, eyes scanning the monitor for anything that he could consider useful. Shoddy security systems were never too hard to crack; the password is usually a member of the team or a Pokemon that would be close to them. He remembered watching Giovanni's fingers type away into what looked like the word 'Persian'. He slammed his fists on the desk a few times and then growled to himself. He tried 'Aqua', 'IH8FYR', and 'Water'. None of them worked.

"What about..." he clicked his tongue a few times, "Sharpedo?" Nope. That didn't work. "Hmm..." He smashed his hands on the keyboard until he heard a trill that meant no more characters could be typed in the bar. Turns out he typed in 'iherduliek' and smiled brightly when it came up with a different screen, asking him for another password. "Dammit!" he barked, slamming his hands on the desk again.

He went through every Water-type Pokemon he could think of immediately off the top of his head. "Ludicolo. Magikarp. Gyarados. Lombre." Each one came up with the same error message. Finally, after about ten minutes of thinking, he sighed. "What about..."

Mudkips

With a press of the Enter key, a map appeared. He scanned the map a few times. The teleporters highlighted Red were the ones to take, it seemed. Taking a mental note, he stood up and shut off the computer. "So they are harder to hack than I thought..." he said aloud, walking over to the other warp pad, "but at least I got in." He held his breath as he stepped on the pad and disappeared.

"Finish that Pinsir with your Horn Attack!" William commanded sharply, and before Miharu could react, Petunia had been knocked onto her back by the attack; her arms and legs flailing for a second before she became still. Miharu bit her bottom lip and flinched a little as the coppery taste of her own blood tingled on her tongue. She held up the Pinsir's Park Ball and recalled her, and the large Stagbeetle disappeared just as the Nincada popped up from its hiding place underground, striking Sparkle for an easy critical hit and sending the poor little sheep Pokemon for a tumble.

She came to a stop at Miharu's feet, and at once the girl bent down, lightly petting the fallen Pokemon's head. "You did really well girl," she said, also recalling her into her Pokeball as she stood up. Her eyes narrowed into slits as she glared at the two boys. They were laughing and pointing, and this only seemed to enrage the small girl even further. Two red and white Pokeballs were flung at the same time, and Tingle and Starrie appeared before her. Miharu stood as tall as she possibly could, and looked at the two bug catchers, fury burning in her eyes. "Starrie, use your Water Gun on that Nincada. Tingle, PAY ATTENTION!" she said, raising her voice as she realized her Metang wasn't facing the battle, or anyone else for that matter. The steel type was staring up at the sky, tracing the shapes of the clouds with its clawed fingertips. At the mention of its name, the Metang turned towards the two bugs, its eyes narrowing. "Tingle, Confusion attack on Heracross!"

Before Miharu had even issued Tingle's command, Starrie had already pelted Joshua's Nincada with a Water Gun, and the bug was screeching horribly. It attempted to blindly counter with a Fury Swipes attack, but the swift Staryu got out of the way with ease. Tingle fired off the psychic attack effortlessly, causing the Heracross to stumble as confusion set in on it. Even though it had been ordered to attack Tingle, it found itself unable to do so and it fell over backwards, legs flailing around in all directions.

"All right Luffy use-"

"Meowth show that Aipom your-"

"Fake Out!" Both of them cried at the same time before glaring at each other. "Hey! Don't use the move I am!"

In front of them the two normal types dashed forward in an attempt to attack first. Unfortunately for once Luffy was not faster then his opponent and the Meowth struck first causing him to flinch. Without even waiting for his trainers next command the Meowth dug his teeth into Luffy's arm in a bite attack. It was a good thing for Luffy though that the Meowth's attack power wasn't that high and his defense was stronger.

Now able to move correctly Luffy growled slightly and used his tail to grab the Meowth and toss him away. He wasn't to happy that the cat had cut his attack off. "Use your Sand Attack Luffy!" Robin ordered hoping that her pokemon would be able to attack the Meowth successfully. It turned out that Robin didn't need to worry, grabbing a handful of sand Luffy gleefully threw it in the Meowth's face.

The cat pokemon gave out a yowl and tried its best to take the sand out of its eyes. "Oh Meowth! My poor baby! Why don't you show that monkey with the ugly hat your Fury Swipes." Meowing and stopping scrubbing his face the Meowth rushed forward only to be stopped by Luffy's tail grabbing him and smacking him down. Confused the small cat looked up at the Aipom and felt a shiver of fear go down it's spine. Scrambling up the Meowth backed away, it had no idea why the small monkey seemed so terrifying right now, all it knew was that it wanted to get away. "Meowth what are you doing? Come on attack that stupid monkey!" The beauty urged confused at her pokemons actions.

Across from her Robin only smirked, she knew what was going on. The beauty had insulted Hat. There would be little to no escape now for her poor pokemon, and if she was unlucky enough, Luffy might go after her as well. "All right Luffy, I think I will leave this up to you." That said she walked over to where Ampersand was resting on the fence and smiled up at him. "So how much more time do we have?" A few pained cries coming from the Meowth and its trainer as Luffy unleashed 'You insulted Hat' wrath on them.

Looking down at his watch an amused look on his face at Luffy's actions. Ampersand completely understood, no one messed with a mans hat and got away with it. "Ah we will have about a half an hour to get your pokemon healed up and ourselves on the train to Saffron."

"Sounds great." Robin said with a smile as they both went back to watching Luffy deal out punishment for insulting Hat.

Kasiya's face lit up when she saw Keegan approaching them, and she waved excitedly. "Oh, that's great!" she said, rubbing her hands together. Maybe I really will challenge Wattson before the day is through. It was hard not to giggle at Flannery's actions though, and she certainly didn't blame the gym leader from wanting to get away from the gym now and then. It was not unlike her father to disappear for weeks on end at times, and he often claimed he was out doing 'special training'. Kasiya had a sneaking suspicion that this 'special training' of his involved a sandy, tropical beach and a half-dozen margaritas.

"Keegan?" Flannery blinked a few times as the redhead neared them. "You're the last person I expected to see here. Last time I saw you two together you were erupting like Mt. Chimney!" She grabbed the stray coins and stuck them into the Coin Case before getting to her feet. "And don't call me 'Flan!' You know I hate that. I am not a freaky dessert," she said grumpily, scoffing and looking away from him, fully intent on ignoring him. However, her curiosity got the better of her in less than two seconds, and she let the childish name slide and turned back to her friends. "What did you want to see me about anyway?" she asked, making sure the lid of her Coin Case was on securely this time. "What's up?"

Jaeshan was making good time through the Petalburg Woods, and he was certain that he'd reach Rustboro long before lunch time. He hadn't seen many wild Pokemon though, and it was a bit disappointing. He slowed his pace somewhat and sighed, having hoped that he'd at least be able to let Beldum battle a few Pokemon before they left the woods. "Maybe a trainer then..." he mumbled, turning to look behind him as something rustled in the trees nearby. When he turned back again, he wasn't prepared for the large bug that appeared in front of him, wings spread wide. The patterns adorning them looked much like a face, and it made Jaeshan fall over backwards in fright. "What the hell?!" he shouted as he hit the ground hard, and he heard the clatter of several of his Pokeballs coming free from his belt. He pulled himself into a sitting position and looked around. Whatever it was that had startled him was gone, although Jaeshan thought he had an idea of what Pokemon it could have been. "That's strange..." he murmured, checking his belt to see that three of his Pokeballs had come loose. He stood up, looking around to see where they had gone to, but didn't see them at all. "That's weird, where did they go?"

Judging by the positions of the two remaining Pokeballs, Jaeshan knew that Butterfree, Shelgon and Beldum were missing. "Just great," he muttered, getting down on his hands and knees to look. "They' couldn't have gone far... where are they!?" He stood up, brushing the dirt from his knees. He took the two remaining Pokeballs and released the Pokemon from within, sighing sadly as Nidoking and Combusken appeared in front of him. "Guys, I really need your help," he said, then explaining to the two of them what had happened. Combusken's brow was furrowed in thought, and she began to look around, hoping to help her trainer find her teammates. Nidoking just stood there, glowering at his trainer with his powerful arms folded across his chest. He didn't want to find anything; when he'd been called out he'd expected to have something to attack. Nidoking snorted and looked down the path they'd been following, and his ears perked up as he thought he saw something. Giving a low growl, the large Pokemon began to charge down the path, knocking over small trees that were in his way.

"Hey... wait!" Jaeshan yelled, giving chase. "Come on, Combusken! Nidoking, wait! Stop!" The two had to run nearly-full out to keep up with the rampaging Pokemon, but even if they'd lost him it wouldn't be too hard to follow him and his trail of destruction.
