You know... there is most likely is some where... does any body have the book of deitys? it has a bunch, even ones for monsters... though I think it is version 2 not 3 or 3.5

I believe the V3.5 handbook has a list in there somewhere...

well, either way, i know of some deities that i could pray to now...if i wanted ^^;

i'll just be neutral to the whole religion thing. spiritualist as opposed to religion, you know? XD

there is a list, just that there is one many times bigger in the book Im talking about lol

and as for the neutral thing, almost every npc in the D&D world know other gods are out there, clerics can only follow one set (witch in most cases is only 1 to begin with) but most people acnolidge others, like praying to the god of roads before a long and hard journey on lists say, a oragon trail setting

I've been going off of this set of deities for all the ones (legal ones anyways) that I've been looking up.

Okay, so I have yet another question. Do we actually have to buy outfits? ._. Cause I'm stone broke and um, yeah. There's got to be free fig leaves somewhere. I mean, I can buy one I'd just... rather not. How much of the small things do we actually have to buy? o.o

EDIT: Lawl, nevermind, first one is free.

EDIT 2: Also, so the spell components pouch only works for spells that use materials/focuses WITHOUT a specific gp specified?

So essentially, none of the cleric spells. XD

yea don't worry, all you need for a focus ever is your holy symbol, the pouch is more for wizzerds bards and sorcerers and other arcane magic users

It's not quite like what I think you're getting at in DnD. Gods and Goddesses aren't a matter of belief. Any cleric is proof of that. Thus, most of what it comes down to isn't what god you believe in (as they all exist beyond any reasonable doubt), but whose general teachings you follow, like do you follow the teachings of Heironius and go out to fight evil and win valor or do you just follow the simple "do good and fight evil" in a more general sense of Pelor. Not really a matter of belief as it is how you view that you ought to act.

Yep. In the D&D world, the gods are pretty much a concrete truth, since they can come down and kick you around like a soccer ball if you irritate them.

The players handbook is interesting to read ahaha. So, with recent casting limits, is it best then to prepare your spells in the morning so that you don't have to worry as much about previously casted spells within the last 8 hours counting against your limit? Because I was planning on praying around twilight/dusk, but that completely encompasses like... oh... say it starts at 6, then that would mean between 10am and 6pm any spells I cast then would have counted against what I could prepare? I was kind of confused about this.

yea, unless you dont have to sleep, you want to prepare spells at dawn if thats when you wake up, because the 8 hour thing should not imply if you have been sleeping for the last 8 hours
