Maki began to fidgit as Deane explained the route. She probably would be better off running instead of trying to be a hero; the dragon probably wouldn't care to fight after such a long flight as today.
She nooded at Deane indicating she understood.

Deane took a deep breath and nodded to show that he was read and took off. At first only a few shadows showed up which Deane quickly dispatched. As the heartless grew in difficulty and number he began to spend less time fighting and more running. All Deane was really trying to do was provide enough of a distraction that the girl could get away. Deane cast fire ahead of Maki taking out a few heartless that had sprung up near the stairs. Once Deane came upon the stairs he made his stand. Upon Deane were several Shadows a few large bodies and Heartless that he had never seen before. They seemed similar to the Shadows in looks, but in stature these new heartless stood prominantly on two feet and were tall. ((Deane did not know these heartless but as most of you probably know I am explaining the Neo Shadows)) Deane didnt know what to do, he only hopped that Maki made it to the exit soon so that he didnt have to destroy all these heartless because frankly it was almost impossiable.

Christ grew bored in the medic room. He stood up and looked around. After scanning the room he decided to go out. He went through long pass ways, wide areas, and enormous doors. Everything was knew to him. Christ kept an awed expression as he advanced through the place. Finally, he reached the point where he was too tired and thirsty. Christ looked around and found no people nor maintenance crew. He sighed and sat down in a corner of one of the supports holding the ceiling. "Now what?" he asked to himself as he remembered all the events he had experience the las three days. He had randoms dreams, in contrast with the monotone dream he had for years. He was transported into unknown places, he remembered unknown people, and he discovered unknown powers. He looked at his unwanted glove and reclined against the support slowly sitting down.

((-throws Hi-Potion on thread-))
Rydia giggled a little as she ran from the cafeteria. Now, nothing she had to do, it was time to explore!
She wandered aimlessly through the halls, careful not to run into anyone that might frown at her and tell her to do some kind of work. She felt much like she was at a museum or a zoo, just strolling along carelessly.
Her stomach hurt from all that she'd eaten. She mentally chastised herself for the tenth time and continued her exploration.
As she was walking through one of the more obscure hallways, she let her guard down a little--and tripped over something.
"Holy--" Rydia let slip before she turned to see what she'd tripped over. Great. A kid. Probably some whiny kid who'd go run to his little King and snitch on her.
"Um, hiya," she said so as not to seem too awkward, and backed away slowly.

((lol hope it's me who you tripped with and not another dude))
Christ looked as a woman tripped with his feet. He immediately hid his glove behind his back. He looked at her with disbelieve, how did she not see me?. By this time, Christ had become somewhat paranoiac. Christ stood up backing away, however, the wall restricted his movements. He kept backing up as if trying to go through the wall. He stared at he face, for faces tell everything of a person. But he could not concentrate. He was to scare to do so. "Hello," Christ replied politely avoiding any hostility.

Maki kept as close as she could behind Deane, until the shadow creatures appeared. She did as she was told earlier, running up the stairs after Deane had set a few of the shadow creatures on fire. She ran until there were no shadows anywhere, and she felt safe. She slowed down to a walk, and looked behind her. She had seen these creatures before, and her dragon had helped her fight them off; so while she slowed her walk down to a stop, she began to feel a little guilty, and wanted to help really bad. She decided to wait a few minutes, wanting to see if Deane would make it, and if not in a few minutes, she would get her dragon and the two of them would go help. She wasn't useless, she just didn't like fighting, and prefered not to. Not after what happened back home.

((Yeah, sorry, I would've made it more clear by being a responsible RPer if I'd had more time lol))
Rydia grinned fakely and laughed, equally forced. "Heh-heh...um, I'm not doing anything here. Just running errands, kay? Um...so if it's fine with you I'll just be moving along. No need to mention where I've been or anything."
She turned to run from the corridor, but turned back for one more comment. "You might wanna find a room to sleep instead of here. Unless they're really so heartless as to not provide rooms around here?"

A smiled came from Christ. It was the first real smile he had in a while. He stared a the woman and with a wide grin he commented amused, "You talk really funny." He got more confident. Maybe it was because of the way she approached, or maybe because he was tired of being scare. None the less, he suddenly felt some relieve. He chuckled for a second and apologizing he bowed, "I am sorry. I am Christ, Christ O'fer Robeen. Nice to meet you. Oh, and thank you for the advice, Ma'am"

Rydia wrinkled her nose at the extremely unexpected reply. "Me? Talk funny? What the heck are you talking about?" She went on the defensive and took a couple steps closer to him. "I do not talk funny. I should say you're the one who talks funny. And..."
She decided not to blather on about how weird his reaction had been. If it had been her, she would've knocked anyone as suspicious as she'd been up against the wall and threatened them until they told her what they were doing.
Or at least, that was what she was supposed to do in theory. In practice it was a little different.
But that was getting off track.
Rydia shook her head with a little humph and whirled around. "If you're so dull as to need such advice as that, I'd say you'd better lock yourself in your room altogether."
Why was she being so sarcastic? Really, she did pick a lot of it up from the old SoD, but it had annoyed her so much that she had made a point to try and be a little courteous.
Rydia decided she was just feeling a little out-of-place, and a bit nervous, besides. She had to keep her guard up.

Christ felt the uneasy as Rydia went defensive. He held his hands up grinning uncomfortably as she ranted away. "Well you see Ma'am, I have no room."
Christ didn't know what to do, but he knew what not to. He would never say someone talks funny ever again. Specially to a girl. After all the hardship ,he led his guard down and got into trouble again. What I did to deserve this? he thought as he stood still grinning.

Rydia sighed and slumped with her back still turned, hands on her hips. Then she spun around slowly and, raising her eyebrows quickly, asked, "What? Are you like their slave too? Do they just run a freaking slave trade here?"
She shook her head, sighing again, and held out her hand. "Sorry. I'm a bit ticked off right now. Or more like really ticked off. Name's Rydia Larson, Rank--I mean, I'm a...recent recruit here."

Christ offered his right hand to greet her forgetting his red glove was on it. "Nice to meet you." He grinned even harder trying to hide his lack of comfortability. However, little drops of sweat went down his neck as stress and shyness began taking their effect.

Rydia blushed a little as she realized she'd just told a really pointless lie. Dang...she really had to get it together. Obviously it would soon become apparent she was far less than a recruit..as of yet. And it wasn't that big a deal.
The anger still in her told her otherwise. Gosh...she just couldn't get over it, could she?
Rydia attempted a smile and then dropped it and took her hand out of the shake. Was this guy's hand really hairy, or--
Oh. Was that...a sweater on his hand? A sweater??
"Uh...you got something on your hand," she said dumbly, still staring at it.

Christ looked at his hand as it kept eating into his hand becoming a glove. However, now id didn't hurt. He could hardly feel the thing on his hand. As he saw Rydia's reaction, he hid the hand back behind him. How could I have been so careless, he scolded himself in his mind as he closed his eyes and bowed his head.
"I, I am sorry. " Now he was embarrassed. His cheek turned red like a tomato and his face became sweaty.

((Heehee...sweater ^.^))
Rydia stared at it until it disappeared behind Christ's back. And then she felt guilty, looking at his mortified expression.
"Hey, it's not that big a deal...I never said I didn't like it or anything...I mean...heh, you're like, a trendsetter! Yeah, that's it. I'm sure by the end of this year the whole ship will be wearing these on their hands, and whoever doesn't is gonna be a looosahhhh." Rydia became much more animated during this speech, pronouncing her last word with an extra flair and grin.
"Geez," she added with an awkward, apologetic smile, "you're kind of a shy kid, huh? Chill, I'm not gonna bite your head off or anything, though I may have come across that way earlier."
