He thought about the noise for a minute. “It does sound like children! Oh! What if Sangula gets to them? This could be terrible! We should go find them and take them back to their parents”

Delilah nodded in agreement taking small steps trying to follow the sounds, "Preferably before the sun sets."

He followed her towards the voices, confused as to why babies would be set loose so close to the cave. Maybe they just didn't know she lived around here. After their last adventure he was fairly certain word had gotten out about her evil presence in the area.

"Shhh," Delilah whispered making out movements up ahead. She slowed her pace not wanting to frighten the children.
Zarina yawned again. It was always so boring during the daylight hours, nothing ever happened...

Scarlet squinted her a bit. Of her siblings, she was the best adjusted to daylight, but due to their preferences she found that she didn’t go out in the sun as much, even though she enjoyed it. She also wanted real food once in a while, something that wasn’t common at home; as a result she was becoming a good hunter quickly, splitting the meat and blood between them. She tossed a homemade ball to Ziyala. “Lets play!”

Zarina shook her head slipping back a little farther into the shadows, "No way, every time we play ball it rolls out into the sunlight and someone has to go get it..."

Scarlet rolled her eyes. Her siblings were usually no fun to play with. Her brother was the most wililng to play with her, but she hardly ever got to see him. He spent a lot of time with mother and he was always tired when she did see him, however little time that was.
"I can go get it. I don't mind. What do you want to do instead?"

"I don't know...can't we wait till the sun goes down," Zarina asked yawning and curling into a ball. "It's more fun then."

"I like it with the sun though. It's so bright and pretty. The cave is always so dark. Don't you like a change every once in while? How come mother always keeps our brother indoors? I bet he would like it out here and he would play."

"Probably for the same reason she keeps him with her all the time...whatever that is," Zarina muttered closing her eyes. "And what's with your obsession with the sun? It's too bright, it burns...where's the attraction?"

Mirage knew where the attraction was. It was warmer with the sun out and she prefered it over the night's chilling air and with her mother and brother constantly away doing whatever it was they did. For once she'd love to at least witness a nice morning or sunny day without feeling her skin try and rip itself off her body in pain.

Scarlett knew she was the only one that didn't cringe at daylight. It never hurt her, but she had never mentioned it to any of the others before. She wished there were other playmates, but she never met anyone other than her mother and siblings.

"There they are," Delilah whispered spotting the children. She narrowed her eyes on one of the two that lingered in the shadows. "Meridian, do you see that?"

"Says who?" Delilah cringed somewhat, she had never been very good with children. Nevertheless she crept forward towards the children, carefully stepping out of the forest, "Um, hello there little ones."
