You never specified the guys hight, so there was no right answer to the math question

you didnt need the guys height it was just pythagorean therum (sorry for slaughtering that in spelling)

Don't talk down to me just because you passed 6th grade geometry.
I know what 'm talking about.
I used that theorem and and it tells you how far he can be away to hit his feet.
I'm pretty sure we got the same answer.
27 point something right?
If he gave his hight.
You'd subtract that from 12, your altitude, and you could find the max distance he could be to hit his head.

im not talking down to you and your acting kinda rude right now. and no i didnt get 27 i got 32 point something

Lol...
30 squared minus 12 squared is 756
you find the square route of that and it come out to be 27.49545417...(and it continues)

Wow...I am like haven't been here sorry...what has been going on with the whole test? I am sure I got a lot of the questions right...maybe I missed like 2 or 3...At least I think so. I mean I knew the answers, but when I apply them to paper...or pm xD I get all confused redface

Umm....you don't subtract 12.
the formula is A squared+B squared= C squared.
So you're 12 meters up and you can throw 30 meters from the ground.
so 12 squared plus 30 squared equals 1044.
or.... 900+144=1044.

and the square root of 1044 is 32.3

so the answer is 32.3 meters.

10th question, here I come!!! COUNT ME IN!!

You subtract 12 squared
your trying to find B not C
your formula is to find the hypotenuse
this is to find the bottom length of the triangle
or the distance the target can be at
so it's C squared - A squared = B squared
and the hypotenuse is already going to be 30
so i don't know where your getting your B
the only numbers you have to work with is A12 and C30

And i don't want you all to think im some smart a** d**k
so i'll put this in simple logic so we don't have to argue
if you think about it
you already know before you begin the problem
the answer is going to be less than 30
if you were on the ground
at the base of the tree
you could hit him at 30 yards
but up in a tree
youre further away
so the guy will have to be closer
just think about it

And i just realized this
your trying to convince me
that the bottom length (B) is longer than the hypotenuse?
wtf
no matter what the scenario that will never happen
