Tay-yibah sat down and smiled at the three lionesses. She knew three would come. Two new mothers and a Princess. "Hello, my Queens and Princess." She bowed her head, solemn eyes gazing up at them.

"I would like to join your Pride, if I may." She felt it, she was home. The purple female gained her paws again and trotted over to the dark blue female. "Solio?"

Illitashia bowed her head to Ellidanio. "You are Queen, I shall return to our children."
She smiled and turned, trotting back to the cub's general play-area.

Elli smiled at the cub and watched her speak to Solio. "I do not think it would be a problem for you to join our number young femme. Do you Solio? I shall ask Rackna once he has returned from his greeting of another newcommer. "

Akitana flopped down at her brother's side. "The King that is here.. He is grey, much like me.. And he has purple on him like Amirah... I think he is our father..."

Brooke was treading carefully. This was new territory. She had had this experience before. If any lions were here, they could be dangerous. She knew what it was like. And she knew that they would all think she was just a cub. Nothing more.

Her steps were slow and calculated, small. Her head wandered nearer to the ground carefully. She had never been here before.

Elli froze, flakes quivering.
"Yet another cub?" She murmured to herself, turning toward the approaching female. "What on earth?"

Brooke froze. A green full-grown lioness was starting toward her. The cub squinted slightly. It was hard to see her expression yet. And if this lioness was angry, it would be too late to run by the time she could see. Brooke felt her unusual instinct for flight stirring inside her. She planted her paws firmly into the ground, wary, but unmoving.

Kichea raised her eyes to meet Akin's gaze. "I'm... " How was she? She wasn't exactly hurt... but she was hurting... and she was hot-very hot. "I'm not sure..."

Amirah sat silently in the grass waiting to be found or not.

((It's ok LBC.. You sent her into the grass with a giggle to hide.. You're right on track! Xp ))

Elli smiled down at the cub and crouched, putting her nose level with the tiny bundle of furr.
"Hello dear one.. Where are you from? What is your name, and where are you going?"
She spoke in a soft, kind voice, not wanting to frighten the lone cub.
"Where is your family?"

Illitashia dragged a deeply-dished leaf to the water, filled it, and pulled it toward Kichea. "Drink if you can...."
She smiled at the lioness, and then at Akin. "You are soon to have more cubs on your hands Silver King."

Clear, strong eyes stared over at the lioness, an expression akin to that of a sullen child. Only, these eyes had more. They bore the horror of abandonment, the terrors and hardships of being alone, and above all, defiance. Refusal to die at the hands of what the world threw her. Refusal to submit to the elements. An overwhelming will to stay alive. Brooke's eyes met the lioness'.

"Brooke." Her voice was little more than a whisper, just waiting to be carried off by the wind.

((Whoops. I just realized my last post was green. Green! I wonder how xD))

(( Prolly because I'm writing in green! Xp ))

Elli nodded. "Well met Brooke.. I'm Ellidanio - Elli to some, Queen Ellidanio to most... Would you like to stay with us?"

As she spoke her gold-green eyes went back to her home.
Waving elephant grass, soft pale sand, shading trees and a laughing river. Rackna's crimson and gold shape shone like a red beacon in the distance, the sunlight glinting off his coat and pulling at her heart. The sight of him still took her breath away.
Behind her, the soft laughter and fall of paws indicated her shadow Jadera, and Rackna's likeness Rellick had found each other in the grass. The two tumbled about and laughed softly before going their seperate ways, eager to hide from Brazen.
Akitana stood watch over Kichea, as did Akintunde. The pale rose lioness glanced from the black femme to the silver king and back, shifting from paw to paw.
Elli knew that sheltered in the grass was Illitashia's three cubs, the product of Illi and Akin's breeding.
And even as she turned back to Brooke, Rackna and Solio were greeting young cubs.
Her home was welcoming and safe. Looking down at the little female, she decided that was exactly what Brooke needed.
"We welcome newcommers... And with food, water and shelter, you could rest awhile if nothing else..."

((Probably xD))

Brooke's gaze faltered. Her eyes wandered beyond Queen Eliidanio, travelling slowly, taking in everything she could see. Oh, it was beautiful. Far more spectacular than any place she had come across in her paw-wearying travels to stay alive. And yet... How could she stay as she was, preserving the spirit of her mother, and live in a pride with other lions at the same time?

Almost all her life, she had fended for herself. It was not much to fend against, but it had brought her loyalty to anything that mattered up to its peak. Could she abandon all that, that Brooke that was what she had known all her life, to life here? In this beautiful place?

Brooke hesitated. Memories of her mother, her frail sister who had been nameless for what little time she had been alive (for Brooke was sure her mother could not take better care of her sister than herself). Her eyes wandered back to hold Elli's gaze.

And then, she nodded. Ever so slightly, stiffly, as if she were unsure yet of her decision.
"I... I think..." For Brooke, it was hard for her to admit that she needed help. She was independent. Free. It was hard for her to ask anyone for help, of any sort.

Elli watched the cub, a smile dancing on her maw, as Brooke gazed at the Pride Lands. She watched the young thing take in the wonder and beauty of it all, and nodded reassuringly. Rackna's Lands. His Home. Her's.

The little lioness was obviously not one to ask for help.

"I feel I must insist." Elli said softly. "I would insist to carry you back to meet my own cubs as well, if you are not oppossed? They are playing a game right now, perhaps you would like to join?"

She stepped forward and nuzzled the bundle, thinking. 'I already feel like you are one of my children... I cannot let you move on alone.'

"I..." Brooke kept from staring in shock at Elli. It was such a different feeling than it had been with her own mother. She had only just met Elli, and the lioness had already offered to carry her, and to bring her to meet other cubs. Never in her life had she felt anything like this. She felt, for once, the beginnings of what must be saftey tickling at her faintly. Brooke swallowed, more for meaningless emphasis than anything else. "I've never... I mean, my mom never carried me much."

Elli smiled at the wide eyed cub, somewhat amused that her offer had so shocked the tiny bundle.

She crouched so they were eyelevel. "Well, I want to carry you little Brooke, what say you to that?"

Without waiting for a response, she gently lifted the female and turned toward home, lifting her head and weaving through the grass.

The little femme was so young, and lonely, she nearly broke Elli's heart. 'She has never been carried, or tended... Poor thing...'

"My name is Briseis." she said rather softly until her attention soon was drawn to his large golden mane. She had something for really big mane's she thought they were amusing and really pretty at the same time. She had the vibe that he was some what worried so she started pawing at his mane playfully.
She somehow managed to trip herself while on her hind legs and fell on her back so she was looking up at him again. She blinked her blue eyes at him, "What's your name?" she asked quite curiously, still pawing at his mane intrigued with it.

Kish'ya treaded carefully through the sand, making sure not to stand in any one place too long. Her short legs were not made for this type of travel. Plus, the fact that the sun was hot made the sand hot... and that wasn't agreeing with her paws too nicely either.

Pausing a moment, Kish'ya let out a small groan as she sunk into the grit. Pulling herself free with much effort, she continued across the desert, greatly fatigued by now. In the distance, however, she saw a small group of figures. Aghast that anylion could live out here, she tried to quicken her pace to meet them.

She finally arrived, panting and feeling greatly over-worked. She looked around, trying to figure out who was in charge... She had definantly fallen into the lands of a pride. Unsure of what to do, she walked slowly among the lions, afraid to say anything until she could figure out who to talk to.
