Master of Gladiators rolled 2 6-sided dice:
3, 3
Total: 6 (2-12)

Luc's taunt garners more attention than he expected, as both Bandits strike at his emotional outburst. Striking for 3 points apiece, they cause a total of 6 damage to Luc, before Vincent annihilates BS3, and the rest of the party does the same to BS1 in a massive team attack. Kail's spell goes uncast, as the combat comes to an end.
Petra heals Luc for 10 points. Vincent Regenerates 4 points.
Scum1: 0/15 Scum2: 0/15
Kail: 30/30 Vincent: 19/40 Luc: 24/25 Petra: 30/30
Party Pool AP: 7 MP: 3
As you search the remains, you discover two longswords and a sorceror's amulet.
Master Morty looks at you expectantly, as he climb out from underneath his wagon. "Well, that seemed a bit much. It's as if they are gauging your strength, bit by bit. Testing your limits, so to speak. I certainly hope there aren't many more of them. So far you've bested, what, eighteen of them? How many more could there possibly be?" A worried expression, crosses his face, as he looks away in contemplation.

Hunched over the bandit scum, Luc pants after a hard battle. Blood dripping from his daggar and from Lucifer's fangs he looks up. Lucifer's eye's are red with revenge, as he slowly fades. Realising what he must look like hunched over the kill, he cleans off his daggar and goes to the wagon to sit in solitude. This time, he could not muster his usual overly exited childish behavior. He must go to think about his past in solitude.

Kail takes the items and stores them the wagon with the rest that had been gather so far. He figures he’ll sell them once he got through the pass and split the money between his comrades. Kail once again sighs and looks at Master Morty. He then looks at his other team mates and notices Luc sneak off to the privacy of a wagon. Apparently he didn’t want to talk. Kail would have to save his questioning for another time. “I don’t know the answer to that question Master Morty. There numbers seem to be endless. Regardless, we will get through this. If we continue working together we will continue overcome whatever obstacle they throw at us. We will get through this passage and I’ll do my best to make sure we all get through it alive.”

Normally--normal, how is becoming attacked by bandits becoming normal?!--Petra would just retreat back the wagon to pray and rest and wait for this hellish trip to be over... but this time, she runs to Vincent to check on him. The repulsion of the sword prevents her from touching him, but her hands flutter nearby, wanting to help.
She looks him over precisely. "Oh, you're alive, thank the Lord... But you're so hurt! Are you going to be okay?" Her wide eyes seek his, avoiding the sword embedded in his arm.

Vincent leans against the makeshift barrier, breathing hard from the physical exertion as much as his wounds. He looks to Petra all the same and smiles as best he can, "Don't worry, I've been in worse shape before..." A dark look casts over his face, "I felt it, you know. You tried to heal me, but the sword...it has never reacted like that before. It seemed almost angry at me for even allowing it." He smiles again, this one a little warmer. "As they say, it's the thought that counts. Thank you, Petra, your attempt has touched my heart." He bows to her before he turns and limps to the wagon, ignoring his wounds. When he reaches it, he falls down heavily beside Luc to rest his aching head and bleading arm.
((Okay, this sounds bad and I have a lot of respect for Master of Gladiators, but his posts are quiet far apart...unproductive roleplay anyone?))

Kail’igen looked from face to face of his fellow companions and could see they were for worse of wear. The trip through the passage was beginning to take its toll on them both physically and mentally. Kail too, with his lack of sleep over the past few days, was beginning to feel the strain. He began to wonder if they truly were going to get through this without any permanent damage. He knew it was already too late for Petra. He knew her innocent mind would carry these images with her for the rest of her life. How he wished he could take them back. Restore her to what must have been her usual happy self. Alas there were things out of even a mages power. Kail turns to Master Morty. “I believe we have wasted enough time here. Let us continue along our way. The sooner we get through this passage the better for us all.” Kail then uses his magic to incinerate the barrier so they could get past it.

((This post is assuming that nothing happens after the battle that the DM wants. If there is then I will just change this post.))
Vincent sits in the back of the uncomfortable wagon, his wounds healing much slower than he would have liked. He keeps thinking back to Petra's attempted heal. What was that really?...Could it be jealousy...pride maybe? I wish I knew more about this sword. Not thinking, Vincent speaks aloud as he stares into the eyes of the demonic blade, "What are your secrets? Why did you choose me?...More importantly, what are you doing to me." Since when... He thinks to himself again, did I ever enjoy to kill like that?
((Next week, we have reflexive fire training from 1745-2000 at night xp . Which means that I will be doing very little, if any, posting Monday thru Saturday next week. I'll still due my best to post at least once every night. Still, some roleplay, even without the DM (aka-character development) would be highly appreciated. Thanks to you all whether you agree or not! biggrin ))

Petra follows Vincent to the wagons, but keeps her distance from him, feeling that he seems to want to be alone. She rests in the wagon, separate from Vincent, but she keeps stealing glances at him, noticing him looking at his sword and mumbling to himself. I've never felt anything like that sword before, she thinks, disturbed. He doesn't seem like the kind to have such a frightening object attached to him. I wonder what it is...
She turns, startled, at the sound of Kail burning the barrier, heart hammering in fear that there were more bandits. Kail's silhouette against the fire calms her, and she drops her head into her hands, tears of exhaustion welling up in her eyes. She almost... wishes for more battle. At least during battle she doesn't have the time to think about the trail of death the adventurers are leaving. When she has time to sit and think to herself...
Petra gets on her knees and begins to pray silently, not for the first time that day. Even so, her hope of salvation is dwindling. She struck out against another human, and every time she looks at her spotless white gloves, she half expects to see his blood staining her.

Deep in thought Luc doesn't even realise Vincent sitting next to him. When he does he looks over at the sword petruding from his arm. "Does it hurt?" Luc asks in a meloncholy voice. "You know, you were pretty strong out there. That sword may be what gets us through this." Luc shifts his position against the wagon's wall and wonder's when they'll depart.

Due to the impending holiday, and the onset of relatives, my ability to post this week has become severely hampered. I will be unable to properly continue until this Saturday, when the Holiday cheer is over. As such I apologize for my absence, as it can be detrimental to the continuance of the dungeon.
However, in response to the earlier post by Heirophant, I believe it should be obvious that this dungeon is proceeding at a pace at least as equivalent as any of the previous dungeons by other DM's. So if anyone has an issue with my "Unproductive Roleplay", please by all means let me know. I will cease to waste anymore of your time.

As the day burns on, the wagon train once again begins to move. Master Morty sits furtively, as if expecting the worst at any moment. The bandits were worse than he expected, much worse. Still, with the current crew working to protect them, things were going fairly well. No serious injuries, and no losses. With any luck, the odds would continue in their favor...
Shortly after Morty's thoughtful interlude, the party spots several figures running at break neck speed towards the wagons. 3 Bandit Scum and 2 Bandit Warriors charge forward, their intent clearly obvious. Glancing to the left and right, you see a Bandit Sorceror in each direction, distantly so. It seems there will be no parley this time...
(3) Bandit Scum A: 2, D: 2, C: 2 (1d6), M: 0, L: 3 (15), E: 0, Action: Taunt
(2) Bandit Warrior (Lieutenant) A: 2(5), D: 2, C: 4 (1d12), M: 0, L: 4 (20), E: 3( Long sword), Action: Taunt, Smash
(2) Bandit Sorceror (Lieutenant) A: 0, D: 2, C: 0, M: 2(5), L: 4(20), E: 3(Sorceror's Amulet), Ability: Skilled Caster, Spell: Energy Burst
The 3 Bandit Scum will individually Attack 3 of the Drivers. The Bandit Warriors will both Attack/Smash Petra. The Bandit Sorcerors will each Attack a Wagon.
The two Sorceror's are a full move away from physical retaliation, in opposite directions. Using anything other than distance based attack requires a full round to reach either of them. Distance based attacks are subject to common sense interpretation and effective roleplay.
You may post your attacks, I will do my best to respond by Saturday Evening.

Cussing Luc says, "They just don't stop do they?" Scramboling to his feet and jumping off the wagon train Luc thinks of what to do while quickly scanning the terrain and enemies.

Vincent's eyes cloud over darkly as he jumps from the wagon and charges headlong at the scum. He doesn't even think as he rips into the first bandit scum, then rams his sword to the hilt in the scums stomach, splattering gore everywhere twisted .
((Attack for 16 damage on bandit scum 1, followed by a smash for another 16 damage to finish him off for a total 32 damage.))
((Okay, there seems to me to be a misunderstanding of my words. What I meant was not that you, Master of Gladiators, are unproductive in your DMing, and in fact I enjoy your style rather greatly! 'Unproductive roleplay' is a term that my DnD buddies and myself use to descibe that when a DM is too busy or can't post, as is the case here soon enough, then the players go about with character development. Nothing that really furthers the immeadiate storyline, but is still entertaining in its own way. AKA- 'Unproductive Roleplay'. So, once again: if there was any misunderstanding I formally apologize in front of all present for not choosing my words more carefully and potentially insulting Master of Gladiators. To Master of Gladiators, I'm sorry for my words.))

(Master of Gladiators, you are a great DM. I don't think you go too slowly, any faster and the players would be left behind. Vincent merely wants to have a bit of fun inbetween your posts. I think it would be appropriate to assume that no one hardly ever means harm to anyone else in this guild. We are all closely knit, at least as closely knit as you can get in an online community. Ok... no more ramboling for me. Keep up the good work Master of Gladiators. And the same goes for everyone else in the guild.)

Okay, okay, enough already. Apology accepted, and thanks for the comments. Now let's get back to killing things.
And you might want to edit your stun action for the scum, Vincent. They aren't using any actions that would be affected....
