It gives you considerably less time then Atelier Iris 3's Alter World did, thank god that Grand Phantasm didn't use up that much time.

If it did, that would be ridiculous, besides in Iris 3 you can extend that time whenever you pick up an hourglass.... there is no such thing in Annie....

It would've been ridiculous alright... It would've dampened the game's overall qualities further (from it's generally mediocre scores compared to previous games). It was a fun game.. but it didn't hold a lot of "depth" that I've seen through the first and second game. Plus, the "depth" the game had in terms of character development relied on subtle means, but it still appeared lackluster in many ways (especially Crowley's role and how his background is only revealed through the finding of a diary, I believe).
I liked some of the soundtracks dearly so the game didn't entirely appear as a precursor to Mana Khemia's system. 8D;; (lool I kind of got off-topic from Atelier Annie.. sorry.)
I'm still awaiting for a time freezing cheat for Atelier Annie though~ I'm not too keen on replaying it subsequent times without it so I'm willing to wait before getting back just to get the other endings.

Your waiting for it too huh? Apparently a user from GBAtemp already has one but.... ahh nevermind....
I must admit if it weren't for the time problem annie would have been a very nice game....

Indeed~ I enjoyed it a lot. The only factor that's holding it back considerably is the pacing of time. =

Yeah I know.... Either it's one factor the developers forgot to refine or just left it like that, at any rate it hurts the game so much in many ways that it's the sole reason that annie becomes a pain to play or becomes unplayable... (well maybe not)

I won't say it's unplayable.. but to players who likes to have a "complete" game.. that would be pretty difficult to perform due to the timely restrictions.
Subsequent playthroughs are fine but for a initial run, it may be too challenging.
As much as I would like to assume that the developers forgot to refine the pacing... it's a pretty large oversight considering much of the game relies on the pacing for nearly everything. Atelier Lina (?) hopefully amends this (assuming that it utilizes a similar system)~
LOL.. I feel like we're discussing this issue over and over again (.. not saying we shouldn't discuss it.. but I feel like I'm stating the same opinion/displeasure over and over). I guess the bothersome effect it emanates is fairly strong haha~

It's the only noticeable and notable thing the game... in fact a lot of players would notice this instantly than anything else... what can we do?
And beside like you said it's dark aura is very powerful....

They should add a difficulty option. Take it casual, normal pace, slightly challenging, insanely hard.

The difficulty options would be nice as long it addressed time pacing issues. 8D;
Other than that.. the game isn't too difficult to play and I only searched for some guidance on difficult tasks like the "crystal skull" drop (I wasn't willing to accept a silver for my efforts LOL).

One thing for sure, the synthesis is a lot more challenging then the Iris series. ^_^ (Peers at massive pile of Alchemy Ash burning_eyes )

Hmm. . . two cases where the saved game gets corrupted, I'm wondering if this is another serious glitch that slipped past the developers, or if its just a problem with the DS. . .

How was the file corrupted?
Mine was simply because of "shutting down" during saving. 8D;
I play on a emulator too.. simply because I usually play the game once and put it aside. Therefore, replay value isn't really one of the options I'm interested in at the moment. 8D;

Oh I see...
Well I dunno what happened to mine cause I backup every often and I use NO$ZOOMER so no problem... but my save still got corrupted... same thing happened to my Izuna save and my Mario and Luigi Partners in Time save.... weird... I also other emulators for the DS and they still get that problem... maybe it is a glitch... cause a friend of mine who has a working DS had it too....
