Fumbling with her fairly voluminous costume, the petite teen cautiously tottered towards the Delaran household. One could easily become interested in her misfortune, similar to an automobile collision where you couldn't seem to rip your eyes away, despite how miserable it looked. Yes, watching Namini head towards the Delaran household was just like that kind of situation. An accident waiting to happen.
Luckily for the fragile soul, she made it to the front door without a broken bone or heel. Laughter and music emanated through the doors and Namini discovered that her hands were trembling. What if she had picked a silly costume? What if she had the wrong address..though that seemed highly doubtful. What if--
Shutting her thoughts away, she sheepishly opened the door and entered into the world of sweets and sins. Her cerulean eyes widened as it took her a moment to take everything in. The numerous decorations were so vigorous. The smells! Oh goodness, they were simply mouthwatering. Looking around though, Namini immediately felt calmer. Carefully adjusting the peacock feathers pointing out of her curly ponytails, she then unruffled her layered dress, meticulously rearranging the descending-in length layers. She blushed a bit when she noticed that the shortest layer had shifted a bit when she was walking and showed a bit too much thigh. Tug, tug, it was fixed.
Nervously wandering around, Namini instinctively crossed her arms to cover her bare mid drift, though her arms were also bare. Overall, she seemed like a peacock-themed salsa dancer, with her sleeveless turtleneck top with its sequins, and her open-in-the-front-layered in the back feathered skirt. Oh how David would kill her if he knew she had dressed up like this instead of the simplistic sheet ghost!!

Aphismet nodded his furry head at Red Death, and sighed. "Well, I'm sure Paggicino or whatever he's called will turn up eventually. He's probably fine. Could you perhaps look for him, though, make sure he's not in any trouble with the REAL ghosts?" It had been a while since Rivener had presumably killed Edgar, but that ghost had been presumed Gone before... it was better safe than sorry.
"I'm going to stay here on the couch tonight and just watch things, so you'll know where to find me, alright? Tell Pagicci the same when you see him." Aph once again petted the top of the hood and nodded instead of smiling, since his smile wouldn't be seen anyway.
Rivener lifted an eyebrow at Sevilin's cute attempt at a roar. The Sea Fairy wouldn't scare a two-year-old child. Riv hid his grin, however, not wanting to hurt the blue Frei's feelings. Instead, he answered the question with his usual flourish and bow, his hat sweeping at the floor.
"I am Don Juan, famous litterary figure and spanish heart-throb, stealer of hearts and bringer of sighs." He grinned in a sultry fashion, playing the part as he lifted his red eyes to meet Sev's. A moment later the play was over, and Riv straightened, placing his hat back on and chuckling. "I'll never get tired of doing that. How fun." He glanced over at Roux; he would have introduced the other, but he didn't want to steal the angel's thunder. Surely Roux would want to introduce himself.
Munchies chrrred when Alex came to scoop her up, making little grabby-hands with her front paws, tail still dangling from her mouth as she chewed it. Once in the woman's arms, Munchies snuggled close and started to chew on Alex's finger softly, sending a pained and annoyed glance at Parfait, who was a big meanie.
Alex asked her what was wrong, and by golly Munchies was going to tell her! Ignoring the fact that a multitude of women seemed to be gathering around, Munchies launched into her explanation, chittering and clicking and whistling.
I was gonna make a new friend and she seemed to be having fun and I wanted to have fun too so I flew over and I even sang for her but she didn't care she just sniffed me and then flew off to hog momma all to herself and not be nice to me at all not even a hello and then I was very sad because I wanted a new friend and I didn't get one and I was left there all alone in the little destroyed town with people watching me and seeing how I failed.

The vampire's long black dress twisted around her ankles as the autumn wind blew against her frail, slim figure. Zanen scowled as her long black hair blew into her face, and she hurriedly rushed to brush it away. She nervously adjusted her fake fangs, before shyly peeking inside.
"Umm...Hello?"
It all seemed rather deserted to Zanen as she nervously strode through the doorway, trying not to trip over her own two feet as she balanced precociously on two abnormally high-heeled shoes.
Her mouth curved in appreciation as a particularly sweet aroma wafted into her nose.
Oh wait--no, not entirely deserted. Zanen set her eyes upon a rather petite girl, dressed in layers and layers of fabric that seemed too big for her, and sporting peacock feathers in her ponytails.
Self-consciously, Zanen looked down at her own costume, blushing. Same black, velvet dress--so long it nearly collected at a pool at her feet had she not been wearing those ridiculously high-heeled shoes, fake fangs, fake blood...it all seemed so unoriginal now that she had seen this girl's colorful costume.
Swallowing her shyness, Zanen strode over to her. "Ahh, hello!"

The young woman smiled fondly at Natsuki, any traces of Ada draining from her for the time being. "Too long indeed. Natsuki, this is Jun's keeper, Jae. Jae, this is the ever lovely and talented Natsuki." Alex certainly knew how to lay it on thick, although she was keeping her words rather mild; she'd save any choice comments for her Ada-persona. She didnt' know if the two had met, so it seemed only proper for the time being. "Oh, she's adorable," she cooed at Parfait as the grey-eyed woman talked about the Gwee, making sure to pay Munchies the same attention as Natsuki loved on the pink dragon. She did not want squabbling creatures with claws on her bare skin!
Munchies apparently chose that moment to launch into a monologue, startling Alex. Had she always been so chatty? She kept her attention on the Gwee as she carried on, no doubt insulted by the way she was pitching her noises; was she jealous? The woman had never thought that the Gwee would feel things like envy or possessiveness, seeing as they usually lived in large families, but the domestics were different. "It's okay Munchie-kins," she tried to soothe the dragonette, nuzzling her, "I wont leave you behind." She'd have to say something to Aphismet that Munchies might be teething, judging by the strange antic of chewing on her tail; that reminded her about the pink-fringed Gwee's owner, turning to Natsuki to ask where the secretary was.
Before she could inquire about Chloe, she was made aware of a...a thing. With multiple arms. Ears. And cat eyes. "Chimera?" Alex repeated, feeling her ugly work-related mind starting to rear itself, apparently just as ADD about her work as Parfait was about her experiences. "Like a created entity? Really? What is it?" If not for the dragonettes so precariously nested upon her, Alex would have been positively quivering with delight. As Natsuki asked if anyone had lost it (and goodness, how did someone LOSE this thing?), the zoologist took a careful evaluation of the aquatic feline, mindful not to touch it as she pieced together small fragments of what the thing was made of. "Mouse?" she repeated hazily, having not met the person in question. How curious!
And then Natsuki was off on another tangent, keeping the Italian on her toes, although she'd expect no less from the fiery woman. It was only then that she noticed the Angel near by, giving her a polite smile, distracted from the Headmitripuss. What was this about mischief? Alex felt like she should have worn her running shoes just to keep up with Natsuki's thought process! "Actually, Jae was looking to make some mischief of her own--" green eyes flicked out the window where Natsuki had indicated "--but that seems to follow us when we're together, does it not?" After spotting the pirate-clad mad clamboring into the tank, her face became somewhat stoic and smooth, as though to keep her expression from revealing her thoughts.
"Ah, Natsuki? That...doesn't look like Julian." A slender arching brow was all that accompanied her words, looking at the excited woman with a twinge of curiosity.

Still recovering from the disbelief that she actually wore this outrageous costume, Namini's thoughts came to an upsetting halt as she heard someone, a girl, peep from behind her. Turning around, cinammon curls playfully kissing the sides of her face, her eyes fell upon the other party goer. Not even a second flashed by as her mind tried its best to attempt to figure out what the other was supposed to be, but soon Namin caught herself in mid-stare and batted her eyelashes roughly as she realized how rude she must have seemed. A quaint combination of a blush and smile crawled onto Namini's doll-like features as her sapphire eyes fluttered downwards at the floor.
"H-hello!"
She then caught sight of the dark pool of cloth at the other's feet and couldn't help but allow her eyes to travel back upwards, absorbing every tiny detail of the costume. Dominatrix shoes, a traditional Halloween gown, blood, fangs...
"You're a vampiress!" she squealed in delight, excited to have finally realized what the other was. Oh she could be so dimwitted..

"Please to meet ya!" Jae beamed, "Jun had a blast at the festival with you too! He wanted me to say 'hi' to you if I saw you, and he apologizes for being on tour right now."
She couldn't help but giggle unstoppably at the situation. Three video game vixens, two Gwees, and one adorably dolled up Fredmitri. Could things get any better? Natsuki's mention of mischief ignited a very Yuffie-ish grin.
"Wouldn't really be Halloween without some shameless mischief, now would it?"
Suddenly noticing that the other two were looking out the window, she naturally followed suit. There was a man in a pirate costume mounting a dunk tank. Judging from her company, she was more than safe from any ninja vs. pirate comments. Alex said that the person in the costume wasn't "Julian." Thinking, Jae couldn't recall if she had met anyone by said designation. But she liked the idea of going outside! It was starting to fill up in the room, and it might be nice to get a breath of fresh air. She could fill Natsuki in on the details of the plan later, right now, she was excited to have found people she could mingle with!

The conversation moved at an unusual pace, for Niksia, so she bobbed her head gently while she was trying to keep up. Names were traded by the women crowded together and she made an effort to remember their faces, actually being part of a conversation was sometimes secondary to her normal nature. She already knew Natsuki, vaguely, she had always meant to speak to her again in the normal light of day and get to know her better. Things like that seemed to slip away from her though, she had to think of a way to keep in touch with people outside of these Lab run moments in time.
Niksia found the Gwee monologue interesting though, the tone of all those sounds being just on the right level that they didn't hurt her ears. Having never spent much time around them meant the temporary Angel couldn't really decide how normal this sort of thing was. But it was still cute, in its own way.
Chimeras were just fascinating however, Niksia eyed it the same manner many other people probably already had recently.
But then it all shifted yet again to something else, the dunk tank in the backyard. Wait, a what in the backyard? Indeed, on closer inspection through the window, Niksia could see some soul climbing atop what she would happily call a torture device.
She grinned in a rather less than angelic manner.

Zanen blushed a dark red as the other girl stared at her questioningly, and she shyly stared at the floor, completely out of character from the costume she was wearing. A dark veil of straight hair fell, obscuring her face for a moment.
Ah...what if everyone ignores me?
"H-hello!" the other girl finally said, her eyes also landing on the floor.
Zanen slowly looked up, an anxious grin on her face as she saw the infectious smile of the other teen's face. She couldn't help but giggle when the peacock was hit with the revelation of what Zanen was supposed to be.
"Yes, my Halloween costume from last year," Zanen smirked, her shyness momentarily fading away. "Is it so bad that you can't even tell what I'm supposed to be?" she laughed, a playful twinkle sparkling mischievously in her eyes.
Taking in the colorful display of the other girl's costume she added, "I do love your costume by the way! Very...invigorating!" She paused, forgetting what she was going to say next. Blushing once again, she fiddled with a lock of hair, twirling it 'round and 'round a single finger.
"Oh right!" Zanen blurted out, suddenly remembering what she needed to know. "What's your name? I mean, I can't keep referring to you a 'peacock girl' can I?"

Natsuki's raised an eye brow at Muchies, who was carrying on unlike anything she'd ever seen with Parfait. "I hope that one's house trained. You might want to watch out for those claws, Ada. It would be a waste to get pulled threads or stars forbid a tear in such a gorgeous garment," Natsuki said, eyeing the diva gwee suspiciously. Her heart went out to Alex who was inandated with cuteness, however, the cafe owner admittedly wouldn't trade places with her... not even for those sexy shoes. Well, then again, she might do it for the shoes.
"Niksia?! Is that you? I could barely recognize you without the bright red hair and the scarf!" Natsuki smiled, greeting the old acquaintence as if time hadn't passed as much as it had. She couldn't recall the last time they talked, until it dawned on her. It was the night she was drunk off her horse and stumbling into the men's room at the Crusty Barnacle. 'Well, that's certainly a lasting impression I didn't want to give...' she thought, shaking her head and chuckling to herself.
"You mean to tell me, Jun let you come here looking that good by yourself? Silly boy! Give him my best the next time you see him," Natsuki laughed, shrugging her shoulders and giving Jae a broad smile. What was beyond her was that there they were, four drop dead gorgeous girls, and not a single guy in sight. It was quite amusing really. Sheesh. When would these boys realize this would be like shooting fish in a barrel? They were sitting ducks, but they were getting ready to fly outside in a V-formation. If they guys snoozed, it would be their loss.
Her wickedly delicous grin faultered at Alex's last comment. Truth be told, the dashing pirate lord upon his throne of doom was not the young scientists who locked lips with the cafe owner right before Aphismet and Alex's eyes without any provocation whatsoever, but someone none of the ladies in the group had met (to her knowledge). She audibly gulped, feeling her stomach knot itself over and over. 'How the hell am I going to explain this without sounding like a complete raspberry tart?' she thought, trying to regain her composure. "Y-----es, that is not Julian. That's Dr. Tsu, the Lab's Medical Specialist... He's sort of..." Natsuki said with a sheepish grin, and scratching her wig a bit nervously. Even in the dimmed lighting, a flush became quickly apparent in her cheeks. There was no way to dodge this bullet, as with Alex, Jae, and Niksia before her, it was more of a firing squad. "Julian is well... it's complicated..." Natsuki was the greatest actress in Durem and Gambino combined, except when it came to the one thing that conquers all: romance.

Shaking her curls furiously, Namini felt a pang of guilt as she realized how the other girl had interpreted her exclamation. Raising her hands in a kind of humble sign of forgiveness, she continued apologetically, "No no no! I'm just glad to see a more common costume. I thought that mine would have appeared to be a kind of awkward one, but the colors caught my attention so I just..had to buy it. Kind of like an impulse."
She ended with a shaky giggle as she returned her hands back to shielding her stomach, though it wasn't something to realllly be ashamed of. Not pudgy, no six-pack, just a flat tummy. Preoccupied with her thoughts once again, Namini had to snap to attention as she realized the girl was standing there patiently for her name.
"Oh! Excuse me..Haha, I daydream quite a bit..Um, my name is Namini Nao! Haha..yeah, Nao as in like.. "now"".

((Shadow Chateau --> Pools of Doom))
While Alex was pleased for the compliment on the flattering dress, she was not about to let Natsuki get off the subject so easily. Acting less like a placid hindu cow and more like panthress in a crimson gown, the woman started to walk out of the room and to the backyard, using a somewhat firm nudging from her elbow to indicate Natsuki should probably step to. She tilted her head to the side while looking over at Jae, hoping the woman would follow as well. Once they were out of earshot of the general populace, somewhere between the Chateau and the Pools, Ada took over again with words that sounded like silk but were probably somewhat barbed, "Best way to solve a complication is to work it out. Start talkin', babe." She continued to balance the Gwees in her arms like a pro, smiling slyly as she looked over at Natsuki.
The woman wasn't trying to be cruel of step in territory she wasn't welcome; Alex was simply the straight-forward, no-nonsense type gal that would rather dive into a problem and yank it by the roots rather than tap dance around a burning bush. The fact that she didn't even know who this Tsu-guy was reminded her that she really didn't know Natsuki all that well; now was as good a time as ever to delve into those secretive grey eyes. "Who is this doctor and what sway does he hold over such a fine lady as yourself?"
On one hand, there was Julian, who Alex had seen interact somewhat...well, romantically wasn't a good word, but there was still something; he'd been dashing in a tux, and mostly composed. Then there was...Tsu, who as far as she could tell looked like he crawled out of some floating debris. However, the hovering entity by him that soon came into her sight was not lost on her, and truthfully likely held more interest for the woman than the raggedy man in question.

Roux rose a skeptic, elegant eyebrow toward Sevilin as he did his little growly dragon bit. If the other intended to be scary it wasn't working, if anything the snarls and roars aided in him looking quite a bit silly. Roux waited patiently as Rivener introduced himself before simply pointing toward his own chest, his expression blank as he announced simply, "Angel."
The costume itself made up for lack of explination, however. Roux lifted his 'wings' slightly, causing the great white faux appendages to flare, the halo above his head glinting and bobbing in the Shadow Chataeu's light. His exposed skin was milky, smooth, and pale - the stuff that would make a more vain female jealous. He tilted his head slightly to the side, eyes half-closing as silver-white hair brushed before them and he sighed lightly.
In his arms Mitya-also was contented for a little while longer and then, from across the room she saw it! The other her.. the chimera! She gave a pitious sound and finally Roux let her go. She paused a moment to look up at the Frei with wide, limey eyes, then promptly scurried in that awkward catopuss fashion toward the gaggle of women and Gwee.
Parfait gave a small snuff toward Munchies as she whined at Mom. She gave a small, chiding sound that was probably something along the lines of 'Don't be stupid' and then the delicious cakey scent of Natsuki was all-encompasing. The Pink Gweezilla detatched from Mom so Munchies could have her for a while and flapped over to land on Natsuki Croft's head, giving a small sqwak of surprise and immdiatly lifting off again as she discovered the hair to be a wig.

Josh greedily munched on the last delectable and half melted remnants of a chocolate bar before he tossed the crumbled bat print goodie bag away in the nearest trash bin. He languidly slid past the other party goers and made his way back to the living room of the Delaran residence. Adept auburn eyes scanned the crowd to find most everyone knee deep in another conversation which would be hard to muscle in on. The boy did however spot two flustered girls chittering away introductions to one another. Josh mused and allowed a slim smile to affix itself onto his face as he sashayed over towards the duo. Hopefully, he could weasel in on the freshly budding discussion.
Josh peered behind the girl adorned in vivid feathers and eccentric embellishments. He reached out with timid fingers and delicately brushed a brilliant green-blue swirled plume from his line of vision. “Hello there Chickies,” he mellifluously chirped while adjusting his sight down on the others.
The boy immediately recoiled once he recognized one the girls in front of him. Josh remembered Namini from the summer event held not to long ago… the one who was prone to screaming outbursts. He mentally winced hoping his mild flirting wouldn't set off the girl into a charged banter of some sort.

Bauta hesitated at the door way, looking into the room for his wayward friend. This hide-and-seek game in someone else's house was extremely frustrating and very rude. When he found that candymaker, he would give him a good lesson on how to be polite...though the very impolite thought of shaking Alastair until civility was beaten into him by force had crossed his mind. Tempting as that may be, it was admittedly a little extreme.
He glanced quickly at the gathered group, recognizing the...er...lovely young lady from before. The harpy blinked again at the floating beings, trailing ribbons beneath them. Hmm, the host of this part had really put some thought and artistic consideration into his decorations. They were actually quite beautiful, he wondered how they were constructed. Maybe they were heated from below like an elaborate hot balloon?

"Ah, no! No need to apologize--I was merely kidding!" Pausing to eye the girl's costume, she added with a bright smile on her face, "Yes, the colors are really vibrant and call out to you! As for impulse buys...I can definately relate--only, with books. I don't go shopping for clothing much..."
Suddenly noticing that the teen was covering her stomach with her hands, while stating her name. Zanen started forward with a concerned expression. "Are you cold, Namini? Because I think I have my cape portion of my costume somewhere around here..." Zanen fished around in inconspicuous pocket situated a little below her waist, and produce a blood-red cape tinged with black made of shimmering velvet. Smiling, she offered it to Namini.
