chika-hoshi oh geeze...y'all r a lot bigger than us...haha....y'all pretty good huh? usually we only talk bout bands in our categories...like comeau...and stuff like that...gulfport...harrison....forrest county(haha...didn't say they were all good....or more than 40 ppl) lol...but ya kno if u aint in our category or we dont play football against ya....i dont know too too much about ya We play football against Gulfport, Harrison, St. Martin, Biloxi- we're 5A.

My school's 3A. gonk But, for some reason, they're making us change districts or something this year...we're gonna be going to different towns for football games.

Mystical Kairi My school's 3A. gonk But, for some reason, they're making us change districts or something this year...we're gonna be going to different towns for football games. as in different towns....do u mean different from before or that y'all just never went anywhere for games but y'all's stadium?

Is no one from oklahoma... Wow... I'm from Piedmont, Oklahoma(near OKC)... My band is state champs.... We started small and grew alot in 7 years!!! 7years ago... (I think it was the nature preserve one) We didn't place at 1a, 2a, 3a OBA(oklahoma bandmasters assoc.(oklahoma state competition))... Then the next year we took 6th(alien show)... Then we took 1st(Japanese show)... then we went up a class (4a, 5a)... We took 7th(Irish show)(No Finals- rained out).. Then we were pushed down a class (because people were scared of us).... We took 1st(Electricity)(I came into the band the electricity year)... Then we went back up (we got enough people to be 4a)... (2004 year) We took 2nd(The scream... No not the movie... The painting)... Lost by 0.75 to Carl Albert (we won class)... Pictures of the band:  <--- This is our guard... At our first contest....(The Scream)   <--- This is our band.... Umm.... It's at our first contest...(The Scream)

Weee 4laugh Band camp starts in two weeks ^^ I am so excited. What do y';all think I should play for my audition, though? It said to play an etude, and I have an audition page of two etudes, but both of them are for regular clarinet, and I am bass, so it is kinda hard to get to the high notes. I can do it, but it wouldn't impress them very much. I also have this solo that I can play, which is relatively long, but not too long. It is called "Bouree for Bass Clarinet". It isn't too long, could I play that? Also, I have another, much longer, MUCH harder solo that I can do. It sounds tons better, and it would make me look better, but like I said, it is much longer. Which one should I do?

You audition dor band camp? or just band in general. My high school band is too small to even do chair placements. It's usually figured out by our regional audition scores.

Hi, y'all! I'm just another person from Texas. I live in this dinky little oil town called Midland. We are in the middle of NOWHERE!! Our band is really small too. We only have about 50 people.
I play trombone and I'm also the drum major. biggrin
