"wow, miami!?! i havent been there before, i guess im much further from home than i thought..." Kioko said looking at the sky
"my dad was a traveler and my mother was a great cook, she had her own cooking show and both of them were gone most of the time, so i relied on onii-chan for guide and both mum and dad always tried to spend time with us, dad would tell us about his travels and everything!" kioko said, acting like a little free kid again...

Hot flashes of memory played inside of Strobe's head. Memories of fire, family, fun, restaurants, the ocean beaches. He shook his head to clear his mind, then continued down the hill.
"Something about this city seems very familiar." He said, under his bvreath.

Kioko just looked over at the sky and beaches, it looked so peaceful and nice,
"what i would give to be with my family right now" Kioko said, a little sad, her family, the only ones she had left, were her cousins and aunts and uncles, and they were all the way across the country....

The effect was perfect, it was no wonder though, Doctor K had tested the effect on other experiments a multitude of times, none could resist in the slightest. Using his control over Crow he forced him to back into the rock face, all the while approaching him slowly. When he reached about six feet away he stopped. "Yes, that's perfect, now we can see your abilities in a practical scenario. Crow, you are going to hunt down your fellow escapees, you are going to bring them back to the labs, dead or alive. Do you understand?" Doctor K was sure he already knew the answer, this sealed everything in one simple step.

soon they were walking across the railroad tracks near the docks of Miami. The signal was much stronger, now, throbbing on the point of head-cracking headaches. He held his eye against the chemical migrane. He could smell the plasma orb. he felt the hot air running over his skin. It was UNBEARABLE! And then he saw the box, nestled between a couple of cargo carriers, a small red dot on the side blinking along to the thrum of the signal. He switched off the plasmidic emmiter and brought out the box, laying the suit-case sized object down on the ground.

Jackie, being as shy and timid as she was, didn't say anything up until this point. She had alot to think about and even more to say. "Hm..." She said as she watched Store detect and retrieve the box they were looking for. Last time I checked, it was in the middle of town...but whatever..." She said, shaking off her comment in an instant and focusing more on whether or not it was safe for them to be there.

Crow was angered greatly by this invasion of control over his body, his body tensed with resistance against the commands being given to it. He felt he had managed to slow the actions, but not by enough. Soon he was against the wall. When he heard Homicide Party's commands his body began to push in another direction, as if commanded by a second mind. However, Crow refused to move, using what little will he had left, he held his body in place against the rock, glaring at Doctor K.

Strobe cautiously opened the case and removed the contents. There was a laptop, a label maker, portable laminator, wads of cash from sixteen different countries, passports with slots open for pictures, a couple of automatic handguns and several squares of C4.
"I think that this should help." He said to Jackie, handing her half of the wad of american 50s and splitting the rest between Kioko and himself.

She took it graciously as she nodded to him. "It got very expensive here since I was here last..." She smiled slightly at them as she glanced around for a moment before her eyes landed on a few fishermen unloading their latest catch. They looked over at her and frowned slightly. She turned away from them as she wrapped her arms tight around her body, biting her lip at the same time. "Nh..." She said softly. She didn't like it when people looked at her that was, but who was she to change the way they look at her. That's what she has to live with now...For the rest of her life...

Seeing even such a futile amount of resistance caused Doctor K to lose patience. He picked sand up from the shore and cupped in in one hand, and smashed it into Crow's shoulder where the bullet wound was, then he began to grind it into the hole. His eyes flashed with rage through the holes in the mask. "Arrogance, stunning that you be so avaricious as to defy the one that gave you such power. Hunt them down! Or you will die here in vain, you don't truly believe your companions will survive either way do you?"

Strobe removed everything but the laptop from the case, the placed it back in between the cargo carriers.
"I don't think it's a good idea to take the laptop. They'd track us by identifying the network server and securing the location. It's what I would do." He said. He looked at Kioko, then glanced toward Jackie.
"What can you do, Jackie? Besides read minds, I mean."

"Well um...I..." She started as she blushed slightly, sort of shocked. She adverted her eyes away from them for a moment before looking back to them. "I can um...I can look through objects and freeze time...only for about 5 minutes..." She said softly as she sighed slightly, her ears flicking a bit back and forth.

"Then, you should take this." Strobe said, holding out a handgun, "Seeing as I can control plasma and Kioko is chok full of magic, you need one of these more than we do." He pressed the release buttons and slid the clips out of the other two automatics with expert precision, then offered the ammunition to her.

Jackie's eyes widened as she saw the handgun in Strobe's hand. She shook her head violently as she put her hands out in front of her, batting it away. "No." She said as she bit her lip, tears coming to her eyes. "I...I-I can't..." She said as she took a few steps back, almost falling off the dock. "No!" She yelled before tripping and falling into the icy water. Since she was a cat-hybrid, she couldn't swim all that great. She tried to reach the surface but couldn't. Naturally cats can't swim, so why should she be any different? So she just began to sink, before everything went black and her breath weaned...
