It's one month with PT and ultrasound, not to mention I have my hand in wrist braces and take a vitamin E tablet. 3nodding

Ultrasound? Why ultrasound? O.o I'm so confused... I'm sorry to hear that your hand is in a brace, it must take awhile to type like that. sad

Yup it took a while to type that. sweatdrop
They use ultrasound to make the tendons heal faster, don't ask me more, I'm an idiot when it comes to medicine. sweatdrop

Le gasps! eek I learned something in Physics class!
Ultrasound does not heal - it locates. Particularly, it find the location and speed of clods and abnormailites in the blood stream, to find out where the problem exists. 3nodding
The machine lets out a series of sounds - depending on the frequency of which the sound waves return, according to some principle, the distance from the machine at certain points in time could be heard. If the distance is changing, then it's moving. Just divide distance by time and you can calculate the speed. wink
But... how does that help tendons? neutral Hmm...

Maybe they do it each time to see where the sonar is echoing back from and seeing how well it's doing? That's the only thing I can think of.

Hey! scream No one's gonna acknowledge how smart I just was?
I think the ultrasound would be used to determine if the tendon is still in place (it detects more than just blood).

You're very smart indeed, Scoot! blaugh You and sonar location should be working hand in hand. Pun intended. xd
