There was no bright light to awaken Azreal, but by now he had expected that. The sanctum was dark as ever; he awoke to earthy smells and plain colors.
Rising from his bed, Azreal began to sort through the equipment he had scavenged from the Sniper's spot. He grabbed a Hunter rifle for himself, along with all the ammunition. He strapped on the bulletproof vest as well. Slipping the flashbangs into his pockets, he left the room.
First priority today would be to gather information; specifically about Subania's attack on Amandilla.

On the way to Amandilla, something strange...the wolves had both disappeared from in front of the gate! Well...that is to say, both their normal bodies were replaced with more...mangled, "re-animated" versions...
Which was odd. He'd only killed one wolf.
Who could've done this? Why? Where? How? When? ...what?
There was only one way to find out.

Azreal observed the beasts with a cautious gaze. This didn't feel right.... but with his new weapon, Azreal firmly believed he could blow his way past the wolves without much trouble.
Approaching the gates from the shadows in true dark hunter fashion, Azreal lined up the crosshairs of his shiny new weapon with the old beast's skull.

Stumbling back from the zombie's attack, Azreal turned to his inner demon to help him; dementia.
Focusing hard, Azreal attempted to drop a bus onto the two wolves. Man, he loved teleportation...

After they crawl out from beneath the gigantic car...
Z-Wolf 1 readies Infect...
And fails to spread his poison!
Z-Wolf 2 struggles with his tail; it's stuck under the real left tire.

Azreal felt a great surge of power as the relic was brought to him. His dementia had a bad tendency to backfire, but when used well it was devastating.... he could feel the sheer power of it running through his veins. Intoxicating. It truly made him feel worthy of his Lonarian bloodline, to do such a thing.
He held his rifle out, steadying it against the freed wolf and squeezing the trigger tightly.

Azreal opened another channel of magical energies using his dementia; focusing his mental abilities, he flung a great fireball at the freed wolf, hoping to destroy him before the other could get free.
