Cross' mouth opened as he listened to what she said. His cigarette fell from his lips to the floor, and he made no move to do anything about it, frozen there. The real reason Sil had broken up with him, was to protect him from the Noah. He didn't even know how to process the information, or how to feel about it. He was silent for a startlingly long time. Part of him was elated to know that it hadn't been something he had done, that it hadn't been she'd fallen out of love. The other part was bitter and angry and frustrated. She always was brash and did things for what he thought to be very stupid reasons. He could protect himself, and his judgement certainly wasn't clouded by her. If anything, she made his vision more clear on so many things and so many levels.
When he finally spoke again, his tone was indiscernible, "Are you telling me...that the reason you broke off our engagement...our relationship...is because you were trying to protect me? Because that would be by far the most ridiculous thing you have ever done, decchi."
Cross started to laugh then, a little uncontrollably. He honestly had no idea how to react to what she said, other than to just...laugh. Claire quickly stepped on his cigarette to put it out, and gave him a curious look. If what he said was what Sil really had done, she would have to slap the girl the next time she saw her.

((Yes, yes she did. LOL. Cross is known to know some sorcery himself... and Sil always likes to push the bounds of 'science' so she decided to try out a binding spell to see if she could make guardians for the grounds... and poof here's Eira~ She's not open with it because I'm pretty sure the Vatican would be like "HERESY!" and flip out, so she's pretending she made her similar to the way Fou was made.
Kiah: I know right ;-; <3 I'd say you could meet her now but I definitely am going to ballet here in a few minutes. So I have to go! I'm sorry for not getting to reply to Jack!))
Sil wasn't sure how to even take his reaction to her telling him her reasons for breaking things off with him, and as he started to laugh she honestly felt even more horrible than if he had been angry with her. It was one thing to be over her so quickly, but to find it so damn funny and then proceed to patronize her like a child was not something she was willing to put up with. "You know what? You think you're God and you're not," she said a little more sharply than she meant to. "You don't even realize what would have happened if I hadn't been able to stop Lulubell the first time because you're so blind to how you'll react in a situation like that," her voice got tight, emotion rising in it, a bubble of things that she hadn't been able to say before finally coming free. "But I'm not, and you know I wouldn't make a decision like that flippantly. It felt like the right reason to me and I'll stand by it."

Jacob didn't pull away as liv rested her head on him. "....why not....its easier to run away.... izzy will get a better brother...and addie....she doesn't need me... the earl won't even let us see each other until i prove my worth....and after what happened with that a*****e of a general...well...i doubt that'll be any time soon..." he spoke, sounding as though he'd given up all hope.
meanwhile, down the hall in his own room, Isaiah was packing a few essentials, including a lock picker's kit, for his trip tonight. He wasn't as reckless as his brother. He didn't need to burst into the order making every alarm go off and announce his presence...he wasn't so arrogant or flamboyant as that.
