Erin laughed a little, "I hope I didn't do anything embarrassing in my sleep...like drool, " he quickly checked his mouth for some at the realization that it could actually have happened.
He sighed a little in relief when he felt no drool. He got up from the couch and stretched, raising his arms to full length above his head. He yawned a little before letting his arms flop back to his sides.
"Well...I'll come with you, now that you've woken be up," he held his arm out for her, grinning, it becoming somewhat of a habit now.

"Don't worry, no drooling," she reassured him, deciding not to mention his sleep-talk. When he offered his arm once more, she gave it an amused glance before taking it, wondering when the supportive gesture had become a chivalrous one.
As they made their way towards the infirmary, she shot his other bandaged arm a concerned look, "How's your arm?"

"Determination and a hand gun can go a long way sometimes," Sil returned, knowing what it was like to be in Kiah's shoes. It was only a couple of years ago that she had only been staff here and the memory of not being able to do anything other than support was a hard one to forget. "I've heard stories of how much the staff here has done without Innocence, and I take that to heart. I can't activate right now, so we'll just have to find creative ways to keep this place safe, hm?"
The temptation on her face was obvious by Kiah's offer, and she pursed her lips for a moment. "If you think we can get away with it..." the familiar feeling of knowing she should quit slapped her, remembering Lavi's notable displeasure at the habit. He hadn't said anything yet, but she had seen it in his expression, and for now that was enough to make her stay put and fight the urge... "Mm... I'll see how long I can last," she smiled a little bit, honestly wondering how long it would be until she gave in.
Sil quickly changed the subject, getting her mind off of it. "But... Kiah... how are you? Have you heard anything about anyone else? I don't even know how many days I've been gone, but..." she swallowed, afraid to ask the question she had been thinking about continuously for days, "Did anything happen to General Cross? What about the other divisions...?"

"Oh, this...it's fine, the burns weren't too bad, " he shrugged, "How are your cuts?"
Erin looked at the ones on her face, his eyes traveling over her features. At least her eyes were still untouched by the battle, glistening and bright. He looked into them for a moment as they walked. Not able to look where they were going, he stumbled over a small pile of rubble.
"Ah! Damnit," he scowled down at the pile.

Michiyo had to suppress the urge to laugh out loud at the look of indignation on his face as he glared at the pile of rumble that had nearly caused him to fall flat on his face. "Careful now," she said, unable to hold back a soft chuckle, "And here I thought you had reflexes."
Rubbing an itching cut again, she went on, "As for my cuts, they're alright. Not too painful, just kind of itchy. The bruises, however.." She winced slightly, recalling the sight of her back in the mirror last night, all blue and purple. "But I'll cope. They are my first true battle scars after all." She smiled proudly as she opened the door to the infirmary and walked in.

"I'm sure if we let a few Komrins loose they wouldn't know what hit them..." Kiah looked contemplative for a moment, thinking about helping Komui with his next project. It couldn't go wrong if she helped program it, right...? "Maybe..."
Kiah didn't show her relief when Sil turned down her offer, knowing that cigarettes are addicting but hating them anyway. She waved off Sil's concern for her well being and sighed at her questions, knowing that Sil really didn't know much. "The other branches are fine, and we had most staff members evacuated to the Ark, and from there the Asian Branch. We've lost some scientists and finders, but otherwise it wasn't as bad as it could have been." She paused a bit at the question of the General, looking down uncomfortably. "Cross... had a fight with one of the Noah yesterday... He was injured pretty badly, but when I called for the nurses he'd already disappeared."

Erin huffed at her teasing, but smiled. He had almost forgotten that she had been slammed into the wall, and he looked at her a bit concerned, "Oh yeah, you got slammed into the wall..."
"I'd tell you that I hope they're the last, but I know we're all going to be faced with more of this war, time and time again," he shook his head with a little sigh. He walked through the doors with her, letting her lead them to wherever she wanted to go.

A mixture of emotion hit her; relief that from the way Kiah was talking they hadn't had too many casualties, but also a churning of sadness that there had been casualties to begin with. Then, of course, the last answer hit her like a punch, though she tried to keep her face stoic. A hint of her feelings could be seen in a clench of her jaw and a moment of control loss as her lips flickered into a noticeable frown, but she managed to push them back. "If he disappeared... then I'm sure he's fine... the General has many means of escape..." The sentence was more for herself than it was for Kiah; if something happened to Cross she didn't know what she would do. "I have to find him, though... I don't know how, but... perhaps that's going to be the reason we use that window of opportunity. I may need to get into my room if you'd like to be my escape buddy..."
She couldn't forget about Claire-- the Noah knew where she was in Venice and knew exactly what she looked like and that made the situation dire. Sil hadn't been strong enough to fight Lulubell let alone Wisely's mind powers and the guilt of her own weakness was eating her from the inside. It would be only a matter of time before they descended on the woman and she had no idea what Claire's capabilities as a fighter were, if there were any at all. "The question is... how do we find someone who rarely wants to be found...?"

Mizaka quietly opened the infirmary door, careful not to make any excess noise in case the others were still asleep. She let out a sigh of relief when she saw Kiah and Sil were both awake.
"Hey." She closed the door behind her and walked up to them. "How are you feeling?"

Kiah managed to see the small frown for the second that Sil let it slip, keeping her face indifferent, but beating herself up on the inside for letting him get by her so easily. "I'll do anything I can to help. We have about twenty minutes before the Head Nurse takes her mandatory break." She smiled a bit, happy Komui was more forceful on the Head Nurse and made sure she took a breather every few hours.
Kiah shrugged a bit, still thinking they were talking about Cross, and was about to say something when Mizaka walked in, causing her to bite her tongue. She saw Michiyo and Erin come in the door behind her and became agitated, knowing she wouldn't be able to talk them out of staying while Sil was injured. Unfortunately, if they didn't take their first chance to slip by the Head Nurse, they wouldn't get another chance for the next six hours, and Kiah could tell Sil wanted to leave as soon as possible.
When Mizaka walked up to them, she simply nodded, figuring that the question was directed more to Sil than her.

Michiyo stood rooted on the spot at the entrance, her mind not believing the message her eyes were sending it. There, in a hospital bed, with Kiah by her side, lay Sil. A sense of relief so great that it almost buckled her knees hit her, and the knot of guilt that had been twisting and turning all since the first attack, slowly dissolved. She felt her throat close up and tears start to burn behind her eyes.
Completely disregarding anything in her path - that being Kiah on a stool by the bed and a for her unfamiliar girl beside it - she rushed forwards, crying out: "Sil!" She just managed to reign herself in, resisting the urge to throw her arms around the girl in the bed when she caught sight of the fatigue and bandages, settling to crash to her knees at the edge of the bed, "You're back... You're alive!" Tears began to fall now, no matter how much she tried to stop them. Her friends hadn't died, despite her failure. It was like a dark cloud had been lifted. "I... I'm so..." Sorry was the word that popped into her mind, but she would rather die than explain to Sil what she meant, "...glad."
