I think I'm finally caving. sweatdrop Are you just afraid of driving? That's understandable.. probably the most rational fear out there. I still drive my sister places sometimes (she's like three years older than me). If you do do it, good luck! And go get that bug you wanted. heart
But the idea definitely does make me nervous. sweatdrop
Bug. whee I'm still stuck on either that or a Mini Cooper, because they are also adorable. But the Beetle would be so much cheaper. Hmmm good point... I guess, if you do get one (either one, they're both cute~!) you probably won't drive it much which means not much maintenance. I've had my car for almost three years, and I probably spend about $150-$200 a year on oil changes/regular services but I drive a lot (like 400-500 miles a week) so you wouldn't have to get your things done as often. Insurance does cost a lot though gonk Maybe, if you decided to learn, you could just have your license for a while before deciding if you want/need a car and such.

My Dad would kill me if I didn't change my own oil. He's a mechanic, so I have been taught to do basic maintenance.

There's a place here that, I guess, will change your oil for a little less than what you would have to pay for the oil. Like, with a coupon though or something.

He's a mechanic, so I have been taught to do basic maintenance.I suck at everything. sweatdrop But it's not the oil changes that cost a lot, it's the services. They also do more when they change the oil, like a basic check of the brakes and some other things, at least!
