Lavi took a deep breath as he stared down the hallway, no clue where to start. He shook his head, trying not to think of how he was looking for a needle in a haystack, a haystack filled with deadly snakes and scorpions. As his hand brushed along the pocket of his pants, he noticed something was in there. Reaching in, his fingers curled around the familiar handle of his hammer and he let out a gasp of surprise. He hadn't thought it would be in there and had already accepted the fact that he was probably going to be fighting without an Innocence. Apparently, the nurses had thought it better he wasn't completely without his Anti-Akuma weapon even if he was in the infirmary, out cold, and he was thankful for that.
Feeling a little more protected now, he decided to take a left turn, his heart skipping a beat as he turned that corner. There was nothing there, however, so he continued on. Whenever he passed a door, he pressed his ear against it to listen for sounds inside. When nothing could be heard, he slowly opened the door, peering in. Every time he did, he expected Akuma or Noah to jump out at him, but all the rooms were void of life. He never let his guard down, however, as he turned corner after corner, creating a mental map in case he found himself back there.

Around the next turn, in a deserted area of the Mansion still, there were two Akuma maids chatting. Of course they looked like normal humans, wearing the skin of a murdered loved one. They both stopped short and turned to look at Lavi, never having seen him before. It wasn't entirely out of the question for things to rapidly change around the Mansion, so at first they didn't really suspect much. They continued to stare at him, waiting for him to speak. They didn't realize he was an Exorcist yet.

When Lavi saw the two figures up ahead, he froze. They looked human, and they didn't immediately try and kill him, so he didn't know whether they actually were human or not. It wouldn't be so strange for humans to work here, Liv was human too, and she was here. The chance they were Akuma was probably bigger, though.
He walked up to them, slowly, and for once, he was glad he wasn't wearing his Exorcist uniform, even though it meant he was more vulnerable to attacks. He was thinking of what to do as he was getting near them. They just kept looking at him and didn't seem to show signs of hostility... yet. He kept his hand near his pocket, in case he would need Tettsui. When he reached them, he decided to put his acting skills to the test. "Mistress Lulubell..." he began, trying not to scowl at the name and the admiring tone he was adding to his voice, "...called for me. She wants me to help torture the prisoner. Do you know where she's being kept?" He smiled a little sadistically.

The two maids still looked at him uncertainly, but as they were lower level Akuma, they were too stupid to realize him for what he really was. However, they also had no idea about where Sil was being kept. They weren't important enough to be told such details. Both of them shook their heads and watched him leave a little before turning in the opposite direction to go assume their duties.
After some time of more deserted hallways and rooms, Lavi would come to a room where a young girl, perhaps 5, could be heard laughing at something.

Lavi was glad he wasn't found out, but bit his lip a little at the little information he had gotten. He had to find Sil quickly, before someone did find out he was here and he would have a bunch of Noah after him. He made his way through the next couple of hallways a little more hastily, starting to get frustrated. He willed himself to stay calm, but all he could think of was how longer it took him to find her, the longer she would be in pain.
He held his ear against the umpteenth door he'd come across, but this time he could hear something. It was laughter, and it sounded like a child's voice. He had seen Akuma in children's bodies too, however, so he braced himself before he slowly and quietly opened the door with one hand, the other moving towards the hammer in his pocket.

The room was obviously a play room, filled with all sorts of toys. The girl had warm, brown hair and tanned, mocha skin. Her hair was luscious and curled, down to shoulder length. Her eyes were a bright blue color, with the longest of eyelashes. She was wearing a cute blue and black dress with fancy shoes. White stockings and gloves covered her legs and hands for modesty. The reason for her laughter was obvious at once.
As the girl laid on her back giggling, a siamese kitten was seen levitated several feet above her. Her hands were held up towards the kitten, as it mewed down at her.
"Oh kitty! Fly, fly away!" she giggled even more.
When the door opened and Lavi peeked in, the girl didn't notice him at first, so intrigued by playing with the kitten. Once she did notice him however, she started, nearly causing the kitten to fall. She quickly recovered, lowering the kitten onto her lap. She sat up and stared at Lavi for a moment; the kitten mewed, butting her hand for attention.
"Who are you? Why are you here? You can't play with any of my toys, if that's what you've come for," the girl crossed her arms defiantly.

Looking around the room, Lavi noticed the numerous amounts of toys lying around. He was quickly distracted by the flying kitten, however, and the girl who was seemingly causing it. He had never heard of an Akuma with levitating skills, and the way the whole room seemed to be filled with toys meant only for her made him figure she was way more important than just a mere Akuma. He wondered whether she was a Noah he had never seen before, and the thought that he had just stumbled upon a Noah caused his heart to stop. If she was, she was the youngest he'd seen. He imagined her as sadistically as the rest of them, and it made him a little sick, because she looked so cute.
He remained in the doorway, his hand still near his pocket. "I'm not here for your toys..." He began cautiously, "I'm just a little lost..." He smiled kindly at her, and hoped she, like the two maids, would not realize what he was and raise an alarm. He started to slowly close the door again, wishing to get out of there without any problems and continue his search.
