Liv heard Jacob's words, and the change in them. She fought not to gasp audibly, covering her mouth. Jacob was really going to try and kill Cross. Sil wasn't there to help. Would anyone be there to help him? Cross was in no fit state to battle Jacob! Liv had to do something. She hated the idea of facing Jacob like this, but she had to stop him. If Cross died, Sil...Sil...

Liv grabbed her compass yet again, and with the turn of the dial, she vanished from the halls of the Mansion. She appeared in front of Cross' room, but she quickly deduced he wasn't there. She knew it was only a matter of seconds before Jacob started to rip into him. She had to hurry. Where would they be? The Order was huge. She dashed through the halls, checking places here and there.

Soon, she ran into Kiah, "Kiah!" she jumped out of her skin when she saw her, and she grabbed her by the arms forcefully, shaking her.

Liv was trembling a little, both from excitement, anticipation, and even a little fear. Her cheeks were flushed from the running and from the makeup Road had put there to make her look more like a doll.

"Kiah...I need your help, it's something terrible, please," she pleaded in a hushed whisper, pulling Kiah along, out of sight.

Jacob grinned darkly. "not exactly...I'm here to kill you" he said simply and pulled out his lighter. He lit a flame and it danced in Jacob's hand playfully while the cruel yellow eyes of the boy looked Cross up and down. "see...the thing isold man...i really just...don't like you....and while the earl would prefer you alive...i don't think he'll mind too terribly if i kill you here and now....he'll just be disappointed he couldn't do it himself~ but when i tell him how i made you recall every single pain you've ever felt...every nightmare...every fear....i think he'll be pleased enough..." he stepped forward and the fire dancing in his hand turned a pale grey color. "sensory fire...I got the idea from tyki's tease....only these attack the very sense of pain and torture....i'm going to enjoy watching you writh in pain...screaming out...crying...i wonder how long you'll last...i thought the bunny boy would be dead in a few moments...but he surprised me...will you as well?" he asked just before he rushed forward. He was in front of cross in the blink of and eye, his hadn on the man's chest, the fire already inside him. "don't worry...sil will be joining you in hell soon enough" he promised as he pulled his hand away and the flames began to work their magic.

((silly: hahaha thanks...i do like to be the bad guy....i enjoy torturing RP characters to no end -nods- hahaha

Cross barely had time to react, not entirely surprised by the boy's speed, but still shocked. A gasp escaped him as the fire entered his chest, and his eyes shut tight. He felt something coursing through him, and he was immobile. His body was stuck as the wheels in his mind began to turn. As if he hadn't been beating himself up enough already, images started flashing in his head.

His body started to twitch but he didn't make a sound, not yet. His mind went first to images from his childhood. His older sister abandoning him at the Order, leaving him for her own selfish reasons, cold and uncaring. He could see Anita, sinking with her ship, when he had yet to find out she was still alive. His heart beat fast in his chest, pulsing with adrenaline.

The images switched to a more recent memory, and the him in his mind trudged through mud and pouring rain, looking for the body of Sil, whom he thought to be dead. He was on his knees in the downpour, crying over his failure, crying over the loss of her. He was at her bedside when she was in a medically induced coma, after having fought Lulubell for the very first time. He was always crying, he could feel the loss of hope again, like it was fresh in his chest.

The here and now Cross grabbed his head in agony, forcing himself not to scream. He saw Sil's face as she told him it was over, that their relationship was finished. Silent tears began to flow as Cross fought against all of his miseries and failures. His hands balled into fists as he grasped his hair, pulling it some. His body leaned forward as he struggled, and he let out a yell finally, unable to contain it any longer.

"Kiah, it's Jacob. Ja-acob i-is...he's going to t-try to kill Cross," Liv trembled, "Look...I l-love the Noah but...I...my friends...I h-have to help you, but please pretend...pretend l-like I'm your enemy, you have to. Promise me you will."

Suddenly, Liv heard the agonizing scream of General Cross. She looked up, her eyes wide. Jacob was here, and Cross was in trouble. She grabbed Kiah's hand and ran for the sound, dashing into the Common Room. Why hadn't she looked there first!

"Jacob!!" Liv screamed when she saw Cross doubled over in some kind of pain.

Dashing forward, she tackled Jacob away from Cross. She barely moved him, not strong enough to knock him over, but at least he was further from Cross now, even if by a few steps. She put her face on now, acting.

"JACOB!! He said not to kill him!!" she glared at him.

Cross fell from his throne to the floor when the physical pain began. The images combined with the physical pain was unbearable. He writhed on the floor, continuing to yell. He had to fight this somehow, and he began to try and push everything from him. He gripped his chest, trying to reach the fire inside.

Slowly, he started to fight the images in his head, slowly, he started to regain control of himself, though the pain was still agony. He lifted himself on his arms a little and they shook under his weight, the pain making him weak. He faltered, falling down again before picking himself up once more. His head hung as he gritted his teeth. He forced his eyes to open, and all he could see was the blurred floor, still fighting the fire's power. He attempted to stand, but it was extremely difficult with his broken leg. He grasped at his throne for something to hold onto.

Kiah simply nodded her head at Liv's request, feeling too emotionally drained of anything but anger to react. At the sound of Cross's scream, Kiah began running for the Common Room, keeping up with Liv who was dragging her into danger. She watched Cross crumple to the ground and grabbed her gun from her holster, cocking it into place and holding it at her side for the moment. Kiah watched Jacob smack Liv and schooled her face into indifference, glaring at Jacob. She was a bit hurt at the coldness in his eyes, but she was too tired and stressed to care.

"I knew today was going to suck." She walked up a bit, hoping to get to the General to see if he was okay, but not trusting Jacob to let her through. "What the hell is wrong with you Jacob? Isn't she supposed to be on your side?" She didn't raise her gun, but she was iching to.
