It didn't take much searching for Michiyo to find signs of life, because as soon as she stepped outside, she found herself face to face with both Kiah and Erin.
"Kiah!" she exclaimed, relief flooding her face as she rushed towards the girl to embrace her, "You're alright?"
She managed, before the rushing, to hear Kiah give an account of what had happened to Erin, and the news made her stomach turn. Many people dead, Sil taken and Lavi in the infirmary, who knew how wounded. Guilt struck her immediately, a voice in her head pointing out that maybe they wouldn't have been able to take her if she'd been around to help, but she quickly brushed it off, turning to Erin. "It's good to see you're in one piece as well," she said, smiling a bit grimly.

Erin's eyes widened when he heard what had happened. He said nothing in response and stood in quiet thought. Something inside him began to burn, and he clenched his jaw with anger. <******** Noah. He didn't know Sil or Lavi well, nor anyone else for that matter, but they were still his comrades. If something this bad had happened already, more was sure to come. He raised his hand to his chest, curling a hand around the string of his bow, which was on his back. He looked around absently for a minute and then set his eyes on Michiyo.
"Are you alright, Michiyo? You didn't get hurt too, did you?" he moved towards the two young women, trodding over piles of broken stone.

Hey Chaoe! The big battle happened last night, but Liv said there was more to come... : P ))
Kiah hugged Michiyo back a bit, but on the outside she was still in business mode. She gave the other girl a bitter smile before answering her question.
"I'm a bit shaken up, but other than that I'm perfectly fine." She waited for Michiyo's response to Erin's question, narrowing her eyes a bit at the girl.

*kinda wants to join now* Besides, I need a excuse to get Chaoe back to her normal age. = 3=
As fun as it is to play a younger Yuuka with Yu i'm starting to miss my snappy embarassed 10 year old Chaoe. :I )

Michiyo nodded, both in response to Kiah answer and Erin's question, "I'm alright." Thinking fast - noticing Kiah's eyes narrowing in her direction - she added, "A bit bruised, and I've probably broken a couple of ribs." She slid her hand down her side and faked a wince for emphasis. "But I'll heal. I just went back to my room to check on my things and to change into some clean clothes."

Erin chanced a peek into Michiyo's room and noticed all of her things, including the furniture, in a large pile near to the door. He looked back at Michiyo again and couldn't see any bruises for himself. Nothing on her looked out of place either, her hair was perfect, her clothes unruffled. Even if she had changed like she said, he doubted she would look so untouched. He decided not to say anything, although he could tell she hadn't been to battle yet.
"Come on, then..let me take you to the infirmary to get checked out," he offered Michiyo his arm in case she needed it for support.
"Kiah, why don't you keep checking the other rooms?" he suggested.

(Yeah, guess i'll join in now while I can xD)
Chaoe groaned and rubbed her throbbing head, she couldn't remember much other than waking up in the infirmery and running out when the alarm went off.
Looking down at her hand she noticed the red and frowned, she must have hit it pretty hard off of something.
She guessed she was not too far from some of the exorcists rooms but when she tried to pull herself up she winced, finally noticing her crushed ankle.
Taking a deep breath she gripped a railing and pulled herself up before limping down the hallway to look for some people and hopfully find her room so she could grab her weapon.

Kiah instantly felt bad for being suspicious of Michiyo and nodded at Erin, heading off to look for any people still alive.

She took the offered arm, if only because it made her look more battered than she actually was, but the mention of the infirmary sent her into a silent panic. The head nurse would just have to glance at her to know there was absolutely nothing wrong with her. Then Erin would know, and he would of course tell the rest and then... She had to stop herself from spiralling, and another thought hit her. Lavi was in the infirmary. She didn't know if he was concious or not, but how on earth could she face him if he was?
"Thanks," she replied, putting on the wince again as they slowly moved in the direction of the infirmary, "But I'm really alright... Im sure the nurses have other more critical patients to worry about than my couple of bruises."

Erin remained quiet until they were a good distance away from Kiah, where they could not be heard, "It's okay, Michiyo. You don't have to pretend."
He sounded genuine and reassuring. He knew what it was like to be faced with such a scary prospect. He had been through enough things to know about that hesitation, that fear that halted you in your tracks. The intimidation of making those split-second decisions was something not easy for everyone to overcome.

Her throat constricted at his words. He knew! Already, he knew! How the hell did he find out so quickly. In a last ditch effort, she blurted out, wholly unconvincing: "Pretend? What do you mean, pretend?" And gave another wince for good measure.
Noticing the look on his face, she knew it was a lost battle, and slumped at his side, fear once again plain on her features. "Please don't tell the others!" she begged in a breathless voice, her voice catching in her throat, "I couldn't bear for them to know... to look at me like..." She trailed off, trying desperately to fight the tears forming at the corners of her eyes.
