Batosai was just about to walk over and grab tennis ball to repeat the exercise. But he didn't, he just stood there looking at it as it hit the wall and rolled towards in then suddenly coming to a complete stop. "You know what, if I'm getting something out of this. I'm doing this my way." Batosai thought. He grabbed one of the kunia from around his waist. Then in one sudden motion he threw it. Unlike the tennis ball, the kunai moved a lot faster. So fast, that Batosai hardly seen it moved until it hit its target, leaving a little crack in the wall.

"Thats more like it...", Batosai spoke. His smirk suddenly turned into grin. "...now I don't have to run back and forth for a ball like a damn dog." He finished. Well it seemed that he was better using kunai then what Andou had suggested. Batosai didn't really care if he was doing it differently. As long as the exercise was completed Andou wouldn't complain, plus he didn't think Andou would really care either. Batosai grabbed another kunai from his waist and threw it up into the air. As it fell he caught it and threw, like it was a tomahawk. Despite how cool that would have look, it didn't go very well. The back end of the kunai hit the wall instead making a huge clinging sound to it.

There was a slight groan that came out of his mouth. That didn't work like he expected. Well the main idea of it was to try throwing it in many varieties. Ren seemed to have gotten the picture, so Batosai guessed he should have tried it. It seemed that some are gifted with variety and some aren't. It didn't matter no matter where there at. Batosai had what the others didn't and that was experience. During his two months here in the village Batosai was involved in the academy with all the exercises and obstacle courses, and had been in combat during the invasion. Well everyone was mainly in combat, but Batosai took on a suicide bomber who was probably a high level genin or a low level chunnin. That had to count for something.
Batosai let that subject drop from his mind as he grab one of his last two kunai. His next throw was comfortable for Batosai when he first did this exercise and decided it couldn't hurt. He pulled his arm right next to his left side and threw it like a frisbee. The kunai instead hit the ground, digging deep into the earth.

This was gettting very aggravating for Batosai. But he knew like many times before that everything got worse when he lost his temper. He took a few deep breaths, trying to maintain his cool. It only took a moment, but ha managed to keep his temper under control. He needed to take anger management courses whenever he could make the time to do so. But as for right now he needed to focus on his training. He had to stay focused and not get sidetracked by his temper or other thoughts.
He turned his head over to the sun. It was higher than it was earlier in the day. So that much mean at least an hour or two has already passed. Either this day was getting long or this training was getting to be a lot of fun right now. It was either that or he was just getting too bored that he belived he was having fun. But no matter what if was Batosai grabbed the last kunai he had and did a little twirl. After spinning around two times, he let go of the kunai. It flew in the other direction, hitting the ground a couple meters behind him.

Batosai walked all over the field as quickly as he could allow himself to be without showing his impatience. As he walked all over, he begun to collect all the kunai he had from the wall, to the window where he stabbed them in deep. When he got back to his spot, he placed them back around his waist, except for the one he was going to throw. Despite his stupid display of fun, he needed to buckle down and get to work. No more games, no more delays.
Batosai moved his right arm quickly to his left side. As quickly as he moved his arm into place, he extended it forward just as fast letting his kunai fly. The kunai moved through the air. If it flew by someone, they probably would compare it to the wind blowing across the grass. Just as quickly as it flew, it quickly landed right square into the wall meeting no resistance as it dug into the wall deeply until only half of it was showing.

"Now this is getting easier than before. Its like learning how to walk but without falling down." Batosai thought as his confindence grew. Batosai grabbed another kunai from his waist. But instead of throwing it, he began to spin it around his fingers as fast as he could. Unexpectenly, Batosai was good at it. He move it across his fingers and throwing it in the air from hand to hand without getting a scratch on him. Sadly, Batosai was showing off. He threw it in the air, just enough where it was spinning like a wheel. As he came down, Batosai grabbed it and threw it like a tomahawk again. But this time he hit his mark, making a bigger crack in the wall.

"Hmmm...can't believe that actually worked." Batosai softly said. He checked his waist and pulled yet another kunai out of there. He held it out to his fingertip, balancing it. His eyes just focused on the on the wall. Batosai's face was completly serious, probably too serious that you couldn't help but laugh. But somehow, even Batosai himself managed to pull it off and now laugh about it.
His fingers moved side to side, moving the kunai along with it. Suprisenly, the kunai didn't move a inch off his fingers. He suddenly flick it, like it was a piece of paper as it flew towards the wall. It was hard to explain how that could have happened, but Batosai managed to pull it off. The kunai hit the wall on the button, just like he did before.

Ren grabbed his ball from across the yard and walked back to his starting position. He was a little discouraged, but retained a smile upon his face. He understood full and well that he couldn't get anywhere without some failed attempts. In fact, if he were to achieve everything without struggling, it could actually make things very boring.
Ren tried something new this time around, his stance looked very much like the former, except he tilted his body backwards a bit. He focused his mind and gripped the ball accordingly. This time he wouldd strive for more.
DC: 15 4/12 DC: 7 = Failure.
With himself bent backwards a bit, he took a leap off the ground and attempted a more dramatic spin. This of course was a very poor example of a stance, being that the ball didn't even make it to the wall. When Ren landed he had to chuckle a bit - even going so far as to say," And that is something I SHOULD NOT try until later."

Ren hurried to fetch his ball from across the yard before returning back to his starting position. He was admittedly amused by his last attempt that he could not help but giggle. This training would surely help him hone his art, but if he kept making silly mistakes, he would not go anywhere and that was something that made him even more determined.
He took a different stance, yet again, this time he balanced on his right leg instead of his left. This was indeed an actual inversion of his normal stance. He hadn't tried it yet, so he figured he'd give it a shot.
DC: 15 4/12 DC: 3 = FAILURE!
He lept of the ground, but clumsily, tripped himself with his left leg, which was not accustomed to where it was considering Ren's perpetual habit of balancing on his left leg rather than his right. The ball rolled a few feet from Ren's grasp as he made an almost slow-motion fall to the ground.

Picking himself up off the ground carefully, Ren swooped forward to pick up the ball before rising completely. He had to focus more attention to his right side now. This was due to his tumble earlier, which embarrassed him a little. He figured that the others would laugh at him if he didn't improve. He could not give up just yet! Too much was on the line - that being Andou-sensei's approval!
Ren took the same stance, choosing to balance on his right leg. This time he was prepared to adjust his weight just so that he wouldn't trip himself again. He gripped the ball and concentrated on the wall intently before beginning.
DC: 15 4/12 DC: 14 = Failure.
Ren leaped off of the ground more gracefully than before, even mimicking his former attempts flawlessly; however, the ball whizzed off course and did not hit where Ren intended. He was proud that he didn't fall on his face this time, but did not consider it a full victory.

Batosai was becoming very pleased with his progress. Already he had 3/4 of the exercise finished. And he did it without breaking a sweat. "This just gets easier and easier. Hmmm.....I wonder if I should challenge Andou to a sparring session after I'm finished?" Batosai thought. He never sparred with Andou before. But Andou came from a swordsman clan so it should be interesting to learn what his sensei was capable of. Plus, knowing Andou, it could even be another training lesson for Batosai.
Despite planning on making some trainnig suggestions to Andou, it wasn't the time for that. Right now he had to focus on finishing this training exercise. Eager to finish, Batosai took out one of his kunai. He then did something a little new. Well it was something he hadn't tried since his fight with the suicide bomber two months ago. He spinned in a complete circle, dropping to one knee, in one sudden motion. Batosai then released his kunai right as he made a complete circle. The kunai joined the other kunai on the wall as he pierced the stone.

It just seemed that the more he was doing this, the easier it got. Batosai looked at all the kunai he left pinned into the stone wall. It was then he was kind of beginning to realize what Andou was probably trying to accomplish. Batosai needed to be strong to be a shinobi. But how can he become that if he didn't perfected the fundementals. Fully understanding Andou's lessons, all Batosai could do was to let out a slight smile on his face.
Batosai was feeling profoundly happy for once in his life. His mind was calm and free of displeasant thought. That was something you wouldn't see everyday. It appeared like Batosai let his guard down and let out a few emotions. He grabbed a kunai and threw it at the wall, without even looking at it or the wall. All he could here was the kunai hitting the wall.

The training was just drawing closer to a close. Batosai knew this was coming and was very pleased with it, due to his sudden mood change. This meant that Batosai couldn't stop and take a break. A break was just a waste of time for him but now it was something he wouldn't mind doing, later when classes were over. Hell he might as well spend time with the new students, get to know them. Yeah they had potential to either become great shinobi or great nuisence. Or for Hiru's case, both.
Batosai reached for his waist and drew out his last kunai. With a smile on his face he threw it at the wall, without any side-shows or tricks. The kunai came so close to the wall. But instead the wall, it struck the back end of one of the other kunai and fell to the ground taking the other one with it.

His smile turned to a a disappointed frown as the result in his failed attempt. He was positive that he had that throw on the mark and should have been accurate. But it didn't matter now. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Batosai just kept his mind focused on the continue his training. He quickly move to the wall and collected all his kunai to return to his spot. Batosai put away all his kunai, except the one he would be throwing. He threw it as quickly as he could. But as you try to move quicker, the more possiblility of mistakes. As he threw it, he let go of the kunai too early, allowing it to hit the wall but at a angle. Therefore, the kunai reflected of the wall and landed on the ground below.
