A.R.G.U.S Mykal marshmallowpigeon Lt. Brookman Here is a tutorial in creating a nice looking stand-in tankette model for the sentinel. I would much rather field a jeep, hummer or some other light truck or buggy instead of a sentnal. I like the idea of a light tank but would still perfur a wheeled vehicle of some sort. Any ideas?
-Mykal Hey, when was that made? The wheeled vehicles bare a shocking resemblance to a fairly well known ork guntruk conversion. I mean, they're essentially the same, except one has guardsmen instead of orks. o_o

wesley2005p http://www.night-sky.org/warhammer/humor/toon_burges.jpg i find this a little offensive i play guardsmen and my army kicks a**! Lol, that was awesome. But it's true. Gaurdsman kill in numbers. Their weapons are useless on their own. NOt counting their tanks of course.

I've done so. The legs for Catachans allow for much more dynamic posing.

For the hell of it, I borrowed my chum's IG codex and set out to create a Medival-themed Guard regiment. I've been entertaining this idea for awhile, and finally getting the chance to design one filled me with glee. (I'm sure I'm not the first to come up with this idea.)
Anyways, when all was said and done, I found it fairly underwhelming, even for a theme army. For nearly double the cost of a standard guard squad, I was getting +1 WS, no negatives in close combat, carapace armor, and absolutely no ranged weapons. It just sounds like a recipe for getting their asses kicked.
Anyways, I was just curious as to whether or not someone would be capable of designing a Medival/primitive guard army that doesn't completely suck.

Pontius Pirate Anyways, I was just curious as to whether or not someone would be capable of designing a Medival/primitive guard army that doesn't completely suck. Well maybe if you sneak in your tanks as catapults or Catapults that toss buckets of rocks. Rough Riders might be a good choice to add a little punch against the rocks in an opponent's line and to keep those rocks tied up. Other than those I can't think of any way to work in what I see as the Imp Guard's greatest strength which is large amounts of heavy weapons. They just don't go with the theme. Sorry but Imperial guard isn't a very good choice for an assualt oriented army like this one.
