It would depend if that person would want to combine your work and his/her work. But you wouldnt give up, because spent 20 years of your life trying to make it meaningful. the only reason we have resopsbility is because society has forced it upon us

no i mean what if i was to die. And the things i was working on...would they simply stop or would others take up the effort. If in the grand scheme of things i was suppose to conquor europe but instead i killed myself out of angst would someone else take over or would it go unconquored?

Well, I got bored, so I fixed up one of the pictures of my halloween costume.  *Wonders why it's so blurry.* And if you can't tell, that's a ninja outfit. I can't find the picture of me wearing my mask. sad

better costume then mine..i actually didn't have one because i couldn't find one i liked and could afford...stupid women's costumes...the less fabric the more it costs!! It costs a lot to look cheap...

Actually, I didn't pay a dime for that. It's just an old belt of mine over my shoulder with a black turtleneck and loose black pants, and my mask was two black pillowcases tied and pinned together. You just have to know how to work with what you have.

it depends if that person would want to take over Europe and bear its responsibitiys. If u plan something big, The bigger responsibilty. How many people continued to try and take over Europe after Hitler died?
Society force the conqering not to take place, because it isnt in the best intentions of soceity
It all depends on wheather or not its will be done
We are just a tear drop in the sky, because in the end, it doesnt even matter.
If Europe was conqered, Either it would be overthrown or it will be the most powerful nation yet.
But your death would be obsolete

@ Bighotz, actually, considering how many dictators there are out there, I wouldn't be surprised if they set their sights out on Europe (or wherever else, for that matter) if they knew they could get away with it. I think that people don't do what they want to do; they generally do what other people let them do. there are exceptions, of course, but that does seem to be the norm.

I think people's actions carry a lot more worth then you are giving them. Every single choice a person makes changes so many different possiblities. Ever the smallest thing can make the biggest difference. It is not something we might see the result of but it is there.

Elisadeath I think people's actions carry a lot more worth then you are giving them. Every single choice a person makes changes so many different possiblities. Ever the smallest thing can make the biggest difference. It is not something we might see the result of but it is there. I'm sorry if you got the wrong idea, but I was actually playing off of your idea; people's actions and choices DO have a tremendous weight: they can affect the choices and actions of other people. for example (this is hypothetical), If a friend of mine that I care about deeply got an abortion, and if I was against abortions, I might reconsider my opinion because I would listen to the reasons for it from someone that I care about deeply. ok, perhaps it isn't the best example; but I hope it gets the point across, somewhat.

its ok viper what i said was actually more a response to hotz. No worries. I understand what you are saying. I like to agrue from both points of view when i can. I love a good debate actually. Thought about changing my major to a double in philosophy and psych...but i can't stand some of the people in the phil classes around here...sooo dumb.
@Hotz: Does it really matter if something is overcome or overpowered? If the results are the same then what does it really matter?

Yeah, I know whatcha mean, Elisadeath...I prefer to discuss among friends, as opposed to debating with enemies, though. besides, whenever I do discuss things like this, I'm usually using common sense and baic logic as the basis of my arguments, anyway, so my arguments aren't vey sophisticated. that and I just wanted to say something in here.

It is important when making choices and planning actions.. @Viper: I usually just say what makes sense to me. Its hard for me though i don't really have a train of thought...its more like a train wreck...so what i think doesn't always get expressed correctly.
