OOC: AAA So much to catch up on. I'll have to do that tonight. Lunch over... gotta put this suck post out smile Okay editted sucky post...
IC:
Penny was shocked by two things: one the fact that somebody snuck on her and two the fact that it was Jacen. She had been floating on her back and quickly turned around and sunk her feet onto the ground at the sound of his voice... after cursing she grinned, "You scared me!"
Jacen was surprised by the fact, "Must have really been deep in that thought."
"I was," She was absolutely releived she was wrong and waded over to him and gave him a quick peck on the cheek, "Thank you. You just made my night."
And then the waters weren't so quiet anymore. Late night swimmers started hitting the waters. Her almost silence was gone. And the beach about fifty yards from them became mixed Brotherhood chaos it seemed complete with flames and everything. She started swimming towards shore and pulled Jacen with her.
"What did I do?" He asked her looking confused.
"You showed up," Penny said wanting to leave the beach now. Her reasons for going outside was to get away from people for a few hours, "The beach just got too crowded for me tonight."
"What do you mean that I showed up," He asked as she lead them up the beach towards the X-Men house.
"I thought you may have left. As much as I wouldn't have blamed you seeing our present neighbors, I uh... nevermind," Penny answered honestly and went around the front of the house to the porch. [mostly because i haven't had time to figure out what is going on in the back of the house] The night started getting a bit cooler and her skin was starting to feel it, "I need to change. Touch sensitivy and cold aren't friends."
In about five minutes she came back outside semi-dry and dressed with two beers and tossed Jacen cigarettes, "My lack pack. Take them. I promised I'd quit."

Noko glared at the new girl and john. " you know if you two enjoy each other so much. " She growled . " you two should stay together. " she glared her anger setting off wanda's powers she still held. Suddenly everyones power in five feet of her including john and sasha and sonya were totally negated. Standing up she brushed the sand off her legs and grabbed the silver sarong she had brought with her. " Now i see why wanda leaves.. " she said before heading off to the beach. Once down on the sand she found corkey. " lets blow this idiot joint. " she muttered and headed off to the rental car that she had rented specifically for this. Noko loved Pt cruisers. That was a fact. And the black pt cruiser suited her perfectly. Once she and corky had changed they drove off to find what fun they could have. Only after noko left did she let go of everyones powers again.
ooc i am now on my way to go shopping. yay!

OOC: Crap Noko just beat me... *edits*
IC: "Actually... I have a better idea John, and it will involve stealth, cunning, and HOLY CRAP LOOK OVER THERE!" Pietro shouted. As soon as John was distracted, Pietro swiped the lighter.
"Now now John, instead of say, burning down a house we don't own and ruining our trip, perhaps you can admit that lighting someone's clothes and hair on fire is slightly more of an infraction than a case of sandcrabs, and calm down. I'm sure the warm glow of Noko's embrace will sooth you. I mean, in case you forgot, she's in a bikini, and if the current trend of god's heavenly gifts of nudity continue throughout the night, you may see more. I suggest you keep your eyes on her because you wouldn't want to miss that!"
Pietro suddenly felt Noko's icy gaze on him as she stole all their powers for a moment and stormed off.
"Yes... you wouldn't want ot miss the opportunity to stop it, that is... hehe..." he said nervously.

“Thank Jesus, we got the hell out.” Corky said, her voice loud over the stereo of the car. “What the hell do you listen too? If going anything fun in the least, we need louder music with better bass that doesn’t talk about.” She debate, fiddling with dials. The two raido channels she found with somewhat decent music, were playing either “Candy Shop” (trash), or Gwen Stefani. She settled on the latter, at least Hollaback girl wasn’t rap.
“Where did you have in mind to go? You should have let me get my iPod, I could have put it in the car, we’d have decent music to listen too.” She took a few gulps from the half-empty bottle of Crystal. “You want?”

"Sasha, who are all these strange people?" asked Sonya, hiding behind Sasha until Noko disappeared, "Are they mutants like us?" "Duh, silly," replied Sasha, "Though most of them are drunk now so they're pretty harmless," mainly talking about Pietro," But anyways what are you doing here and with THEM." "Mother brought to the Xavior institution for the gifted. We met a kind man there named Professor Xavior. He's also a mutant. He helps mutants like us learn to cope and control our powers." "So, you're still to scared to use your powers huh? Too bad, you could have taught ghostboy here a lesson."

OOC: Hey Taiya, please place lines of dialogue on separate lines of text so its easier to tell who's talking, I got a lil confused ^^;
IC: Pietro was torn. On the one hand, he had to keep John from destroying the house like he'd done to the Brotherhood House so many times before. On the other hand, there was a timid new X-chick for him to corrupt.
He ran over to John. "John, instead of destroying the house, which will end up with Noko doing even WORSE things to your little men down there, perhaps we can get the girl back later. If you fly off the handle, she gets the satisfaction of knowing she got to you, and she can always just turn into sand and run away if you try to attack her. But if we do things MY way, she'll remained pissed to no end. Think it over."
He then ran over to Sasha and the new girl, and casually snuck in between them. He tossed Sasha a towel to cover herself, and allowed a bit more of his Romanian accent to show than normal, almost sounding gentlemanly. "Sasha, is it? I would hate for you to remain in such a low state, for we want only to cherish our fellow mutant women. At least, we do in the Brotherhood, I can't quite speak for those X-Men drones over there."
He turned and simply flashed a smile to the new X-girl. She was the timid type, and he knew too much talking wold only scare her off. But acting sensitive and gentlemanly? There'd be no way she'd be able to get him out of her mind now. He walked away and back over to John, pulling a 180 once more to think of a prank they could pull later.

"Who was that?" asked Sonya, blushing a little.
"That was Pietro. But don't getting all gushy, he thinks he's god's gift to women. But he's more like a bag of coal then a present," said Sasha.
"So are you also an x-men?"
Sasha laughed. "God no, I wouldn't be caught dead as one. The group I hang out with is called the Brotherhood. Well anyways I'll be leaving now." But Sonya tugged on her towel.
"But can I come with you?" she asked.
"But you can't, you with that group..and...." she stopped as she saw Sonya about to be in tears. She sighed. "Fine, but don't talk to anyone and stay with me all the time."
Sonya smiled as they walked back towards the beach house.

IC: Pietro, under cover of darkness, though in full view of the X-Men who watched with a mix of terror and interest, unveiled some of his tools to Pyro. There were shaving cream bombs, jalapeno-soaked panties, ink-stain toothpaste dispensers, and a host of other non-destructive but infinitely annoying novelties for Pyro to use.
"At the very least," Pietro said, "You can try something new for once John..."

Sasha and Sonya walked into the brotherhood beach house. "There, now you see it," replied Sasha, "Not much different then your place." Sonya was looking up at the lights. They made her nose sensitive. She began to sneeze.
"No Sonya..." Too late. The power went out at the brotherhood too. "I'm sorry," replied Sonya, "I didn't mean too."
"Come on, I'll just blame it on Pyro or Pietro," said Sasha and she lead Sonya up the stairs into her room.

Waving at Teagan as she passed by him to go to the hot tub, Blair walked back inside to find Regina or Porter. He thought about how stupid of him it was to come on this trip without going to buy swimming clothes first.
Surely one of those two would know how to get to town, afterall....didn't they go to town to get food earlier?
He wandered into the kitchen and looked around for someone to talk to until they showed up, at least.
"Hmmm...."

John looked at Pietro's bag, then Pietro, and then back at his bag....if you think for a second I'd use any of this then you've lost your...what in the world," John said has he looked at the brotherhoods beach house. The lights had been on, but a flash of light, had caught his eye, just in time to see the all lights at the beach house go off. "Uhhh, I think our power just went out in the house," John said to Pietro.

"Yea?," Jacen said as he eyed the pack in his hand. "You know, I've only really started to pick up smoking again not too long ago....and going without for a week or so.....that was a good thing." Jacen crushed the full pack of cigs and tossed them to the ground.
"...More....more of a nervous habit than anything else," Jacen said quietly as he looked up into the cloudless sky. He heard a can crack open and saw out of the corner of his eye a beer being handed to him.
"I see you're not worried about making a good impression either," Jacen commented as he watched her take a rather copious swig of the brew.
"I gave up on trying to make a good impression long ago," she replied with a smile. Jacen nodded, opened his beer, and took a drink. This beer tasted especially good to him. Not that the other couple didn't taste good, but this was just near beer perfection.
Again, they sat there in relative silence, the only noise coming from the Brotherhood goons doing whatever they were doing down on the beach. The writings on the wall..... Jacen heard those words ringing in his mind over and over again. As they sat there, Jacen kind of scooted off to the side a bit and looked over at Penance.
"Honestly, Evie," Jacen said as he set his beer on the ground, "I don't know why you'd be worried about me leaving."
"Like I said, because of them being here," she said as she pointed to the beach.
"Listen," he said, "I'm not going to let them ruin my.....our....um.....your vacation."
"This is just as much a vacation for you as it is for the rest of us, Jacen."
This is when his nervous habit kicked back into high gear. Seeing there was still one salvageable cig out of the crushed pack, Jacen picked it up, and fired up a small energy orb in his hand, lighting the cig instantly. He knew what he wanted to ask Penance. The one question he had burning in the back of his mind, the one that had been plaguing him for the past two days.
"Evelyn," Jacen said as he took one last puff from the just started cigarette and threw it away. "There's something I've been meaning to ask you. ......Why did you come to rescue us....and.....why...why in god's name...did you try to take me on yourself?"

"Wow this vacation is going to be fun," Porter sat at an empty dinner table with Regina right after the grill outside was lit on fire At least they weren't using it. He picked up some plates, "I really would appreciate if they didn't light the house on fire.... Why don't you go hang out with your friends? I'll talk care of the mess here."
"Are you sure?" She stretched her arms.
"Positive. Go enjoy your friends," He shoed her away from the kitchen as Blair came strolling in, "Hey Blair, how can I help you?"
Blair, slightly embarrassed, made his predicament known. Porter nodded, "Well, I can offer you a spare for the night but I can't guarantee they'd fit."
He had a bit more mass on himself than most of the students at the beach. Product of age and training. The only guy that really did intimidate him was the trashed out steel man who as entertaining himself with beer caps. I better get a raise for this.

Penny laughed lightly as Jacen lit up because of his nervous habit. Heh, I wish I hadn't quit. She paused and looked up at the sky trying to forumlate her answer. Why had she done those things? She just did them. Never once did she question herself the entire time why she was there or if she should have been. It was what she had to do so she did it.
"It was the right thing to do," Penny said softly and finished her beer. It barely gave her any buzz at all and she put the empty bottle on the steps under her feet, "I didn't have any hesitation leading my team into that fight. I knew the moment they took the first from the prison cell that I was going to do it. No doubts... no regrets. I never thought twice about going after the hounds."
"You led your team into a very bad situation," He said and looked at her, "And are you avoiding my question?"
Penny shook her head. She just didn't know how to answer it, "My team joined me on their own accord. Regina and I... I would have done it alone. It would have been a suicide run... But it wasn't so I don't dwell on it..."
She stopped and paused again ignoring the racket out from behind the house, "As for you... Nobody could have stood up to Rage and lived to walk away. That fight was mine to bear. I wanted nobody else in front of that sword... I live and die by my team and for my team... I throw myself on the sword for them... and well..."
She shifted anxiously for a moment, and decided to just be bold for a moment. She leaned across the step they were sitting on and kissed him.
"That's why."
She then put her forehead on her hand and felt flushed, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that."

Blair smiled at Porter, thinking about how much easier it would be to talk to people if he could play in the water with them.
"If it's not a problem, I'd like that. Even though we're not the same size, I'm sure I could make it work..."

"That is why God invented draw strings, my friend," Porter joked and put a hand on Blair's shoulder and shook it in a friendly gesture. He ran up the stairs to his room and quickly grabbed his spare out of his suitcase and tossed them down to Blair.
Pointing towards town, "Tomorrow, check out the shops. There are a ton on this end of the board walk. Regina pointed out some clothing ones to me... being that I don't know fashion from a hole in the ground."
