I remember it clearly
The day you slippedaway
Was the day I found itwon't be the same
[Hauntedheart let Cinderwing lean against her, feeling his warm pelt against her. For the first time in moons, Huantedheart also felt comfort form tom and his warmth. She didn't say a word to the tom,s he just pressed close to him and sighed. Tonight she's probably give Cinderwing some poppy seeds to help him sleep, if he wnated them. The next few days would be hard, but the medicine cat knew Cinderwing could make it through, because, unlike herself, he had friends to get him through the loss. When she had lost Foxclaw, she had had no one to comfort her. She had been alone with her pain. but not Cinderwing, Hauntedherat would be there to help the tom through this painful time.]

shining in order like a living hymn, written in light.”___________________________[Honeypaw watched with huge eyes as Birchshadow's broken and bloody body was carried respectufully into camp by Hauntedheart and her only sibling, Cinderwing. The tom felt his lung constrict as the fallen warrior's body was put beneath the Shadowstone for the Clan to sit vigil for her. Honeypaw's claws flexed, churning the loose dirt beneath his paws. From a distance, he could still see that, by the puncture wounds and shape of her body, it'd been a Twoleg trap that'd done this. He could barely hold back a snarl. Birchshadow was one of the sweetest she-cat in NightClan. Why did it have to be her?]
“Damned Twolegs...”
[He forced down a strong pang of grief that seized his throat like a serpent. Birchshadow didn't deserve this. Her limp body, the cats mourning around her...The scene was all too similar to the vigils sat for both his sister and mother. His paws itched to rush over and join the group of cats, but fear held him back. Honeypaw clawed the ground, his mind screwed up in pain and sorrow, his face showing no emotion--he wouldn't dare; Hauntedheart might see.]_____________________

[Foxfur aat there, dumbfounded as they dragged Birchshadow's body into camp]
"But...but I got all the traps...I checked..." he whispered
[Willowheart let out a distressed mew, and nosed Foxfur]
"It's not your fault"
[She gave him a reassureing look, then padde up to Cinderwing, nosing him softly]
"I'm sorry, Cinderwing, that you have to go through this.."

"It's not your fault, Cinderwing. The twolegs could have set a new trap down after you finished checking them," she told him softly.

*dashes around madly* I know I'm supposed to be on haitus but...fffffff Purekit has to intarvene somebody! ))
[I saw Honeypaw sitting alone. I puffed out my fur and scuttled over to him, my grey-blue eyes curious.]
"What's the matter Honeypaw?" I asked curiously, plopping down next to him. "You look sad. Mommy says when you feel sad, the stars in the sky shine brighter. Look how bright they're shining for you!"
[I looked up pointedly at the sky, which was as bright as ever. I grinned at him, my face shining energetically.]
(( : o Can...can we just pretend it's night for now? ;w; I think it woulda been cooler if Birchshadow died at night anyhow. That would explain her not seeing the trap. ;3 ))

Pardon any late replies, I'm both on the phone, typing, and talking in real life. > _> ))
[Honeypaw looked at Purekit with soft eyes, and upon hearing her happy words, was filled with a sudden enthusiasm. He swished his tail.]
“Oh, hey Purekit,” [He meowed, then paused, glancing at Birchshadow.] “Um...One of our warriors, Birchshadow, got caught in a foxtrap...She's dead. We'll sit vigil for her tonight, but Hauntednight and I have to leave for the half-moon meet.”
[He meowed softly, emerald eyes flashing in the night.]_____________________

[I blinked, my face falling. What...? I felt my heart quicken in fear. Those traps have killed...
I stared at the ground, my hair lying flat. Then suddenly I perked up, my eyes flashing excitedly.]
"At least she's in StarClan now!" I chirped happily. "I bet she's shining extra-brightly for you in StarClan!"
(( LOL little does Purepaw know that Birchshadow's spirit isn't in StarClan yet. owo"
Ohoho btw, if Honeypaw hadn't been sad, Purepaw probably woulda tackled him. whee ))

[Willowheart frowned sadly, her tail swishing]
"If it's anyone's fault, it's the twolegs. Don't blame yourself"
[She nodded unhappily. Birchshadow shouldn't of died. She was so young...]
"Yeah, I guess we should.." she mewed softly.
[Foxfur stood up, a fiery determination in his eyes. He didn't care what cats told him. He had sprung the traps. He had made sure all of them were sprung, yet one of his Clanmates died. Foxfur wouldn't let this happen again. He vowed then and there to check on the traps everyday. He bunched up his powerful muscles and bounded out of the camp]
