Alright... So how does mission-getting work in Leaf? Just some of the basic stock missions. I'm getting rules mixed up in my head and can't remember which ones apply gonk . Do I just take one or do I need some npc to reply or what? Sorry sweatdrop .

Do I just take one or do I need some npc to reply or what? Sorry sweatdrop . You can just take a mission, you don't need npc interaction for a mission =)

Since Konoha doesn't have a mission hall you need to pick them up from the kage's building. Anything higher than E and D you, being a genin, need a team to take, as well as permission from the kage (Or kage run NPC). Or you can talk to Zin and he's probably got something in mind you could do.

I think the countdown is just the required number of posts to reach Zin's zombie village. So it is sort of innocent... and it sort of isn't.
