Granted, but you only become a master chef after making a deal with a demon. It implants your mind with the recipes for all the meals in the world, but in exchange, you must feed it 1000 pounds of fried broccolli each day. So for the next ten years, you become the world's greatest chef, winning fame and all sorts of cooking awards, but every night, you have to break into various grocery stores to steal all the broccolli you need for the demon's deal. Genius that you are, you manage to get away with this for a decade, but one day, the police finally catch you in the act. Using your Batman-like martial arts skills, you manage to escape, but in doing so, steal only 999 pounds of broccolli instead of your usual 1000. The demon, enraged by your disobiedence and incompetence, drags you to the depths of the Underworld. There, it forces you to cook the 54893405890830984483094 daily meals he eats each day in a giant bubble with no friends or anybody to talk to forever!

Then for the whole day you have your hopes up because you met the chainmail's requirements and tried to get that person's attention the whole day, but are ignored.
