He gathered a large handful of the lava in one palm, allowing it to pool together and form a sphere, before launching it as hard as possible at Evangeline.

'Jesus!' she exclaimed, trying to dive out of the way. The sphere just grazed her legs, leaving a small burn mark to the side of one knee.

'Uh...just one, I think,' he replied, as his skin became tinged with an ill looking green, a faint snakeskin pattern just beginning to form. He stuck his forked tongue out, and hissed at Evangeline.

Keeping his beady eyes trained on Evangeline, he stole a tiny part of her power.
He watched in horror as the large pillar that Evangeline was standing in front of began to lose its stability, and crumble. Large pieces of rock slammed to the arena ground around her, as the entire thing toppled over, flattening her like an insect.
'Evangeline!' he screamed, darting forwards. 'Move!'
He sprinted over to her, snatched at her arms, and hauled her away from the pillar behind her, watching it, waiting for it to fall to pieces. He held her tightly, feeling his heart pound in his chest.

'What the ********, piss off!' she retorted, pushing him away from her and looking at him as though he had gone mad. She looked back at the pillar, which appeared to be as sturdy as it was when they arrived. 'The ******** is wrong with you?!'
