Crenu noticed a strange glow that had come over Kasiya's Larvitar for a breif moment after she executed her last attack, he could only assume that the mysterious attack had a stat boosting side effect. He grinned as he watched Hitmonlee connect with his attack, but the Larvitar's ability to shrug it off was less than the reaction he was hoping for. If he was right about the stat boost effect then that might explain it, but it had to be more than that. Crenu had no time to think right now though as Kasiya had gone right back on the offensive without a moments delay. As she issued her command Crenu found himself yet again struck with surprise, he never expected a Brick Break from this Larvitar. "Hitmonlee, do the same!" Hitmonlee didn't have to be told twice, he immediatly dug his heel into the sand and spun aroudn swinging his other foot up and whiping it down, his elastic like limb tretchign back to give him a little more distance from his rather short target at the price of some leverage. His heel hammered down to meet the uppercut with great force, all he could imagine was Crenu's Larvitar using the same exact move in the same fashion. He could see nothing but Crenu's Larvitar defying his strength and power, matching his brick break and even pushing him back. He was angry, but slowly Hitmonlee felt the situation play out the same way as it did on the sand tha the trained on the day before. This Larvitar was even stronger than Crenu's, he could feel the difference in strength as he tried to win over his opponent but he could not. The leverage he had given up to give himself distance was to great to overcome as he was now and in the end att Hitmonlee managed to do was bounce off of the Larvitar's fist and land in the still damp sand several feet back. Lee's heel was stinging like hell, he could only hope that his opponent's fist felt the same way if only to spite her. He staggered for a moment but regained his balance, he wasn't tired yet but he was hurting much more than he wanted to admit. Crenu on the other hand could only grin slightly, he was actually a little upset for underestimating that mystery attack and overestimating Hitmonlee's defense. That Birck Break gave Hitmonlee a little more trouble that expected, was it possible that the stat boost also rose the Larvitar's attack as well? "My my, you've got some interesting tricks up your sleeves don't you? May I inquire as to what that move was that you used before Brick Break? I must admit that I've never seen anything like it before, and it appears to carry quite the favorable little effect with it."

Kilik clenched his fist. He needed another solid hit like that tackling move. If only he knew what it was called - then he could use it all he wanted! If he took another hit from that Magnitude, no matter what the level, Lairon would be a goner. He closed his eyes and sighed. What could he do now? He heard his dad clear his throat. The boy winced. The beast slammed his foot into the dirt, roaring loudly. He wasn't going to lose! After taking a defeat at the hands of that Hitmontop, he wouldn't let his pride be shattered even further. He ran towards Golem in a blind rage.

"I'll finish this now..." he said with a sigh, "Golem is just gonna take you Lairon with him! Golem, use your Explosion!" Mr. Ranmo was a bit eccentric at times and this was no exception. Obviously the move had more than enough power to do away with Lairon. Golem clenched his fists tightly and ran towards his opponent, glowing brightly. A loud whistling noise echoed through the woods as time began to tick away.

"Lairon, use your ---" he command was cut off by the sound of the explosion. He prayed that his Lairon heard the command. Kilik slammed his eyes shut and put his arms up over his face to protect himself from the debris. He could see a faint green light within the smoke for a split second before it was completely engulfed in blackness. "Lairon!!" he called out.

Joseph laughed, glad that the explosion as directed away from him. "Good fight, son!" he barked, "Let's hope that you can do as well against Kabutops!"

"Really? Good luck with your first gym challenge then, whenever you decide to take it. I remember my first badge so long ago. Man, that was a tough one, but I --"

M.A. cleared her throat, cocking an eyebrow as she did so. Sae had a notoriously big ego; winning the Grand Festival a few years ago had unleashed this previously dormant facet of his personality. He pouted in response, to which his sister giggled and continued to poke at her food. Despite her love for cooking, she never really liked to eat too much. Didn't have a monstrous appetite, that was all. Her brother probably got all the glutton genes. Besides that, watching Tora eat was enough to make anyone full. Nevermind that she had eaten too much that morning; her evolution somehow created a perpetual black hole in her stomach.

As nonchalant as Pikachu, was, however, Ulani soon found her new perch to be rather undesirable. Stray static flickered through Pikachu's fur, and that meant only one thing to the Flying-type -- massive frizz for her beautiful, fluffy wings! Awful, absolutely awful! the blue bird cried, now sporting two afros on the side of her head/body. The Smeargle, taking his eyes off his work for a second to regard the suddenly sharp chirps of his former muse, began to laugh so hard that he screwed up his fifth attempt at Tora's portrait. The Swablu, increasingly indignant with this stupid little painter fellow, began to assault said artist's head. M.A. tried not to laugh and prevented any destruction of the restaurant's property by recalling her fiery little bird. "Sorry," she apologized to Train, Sae, and the blank-faced waiter with a light laugh. "She'll cool off in a second or two, knowing her." Poor waiter fellow. He had to deal with Tora's massive food demands and the mess that the Smeargle and Ulani had made... Thank God Daemyn was snoring away peacefully, 'cause knowing him, he'd somehow be pissed that Tora evolved before he did.

"Big tip," M.A. mouthed to her brother.

Mike took in a big snort and spit out a lump of something or other that had been caught in his throat the whole time he was in the center. It hit the ground with such force he thought the pavement would crack. It made such a loud pop even he jumped.
“Thank god.” He said with an annoyed but relieved sniff. He was at a beach party, filled with babes in suits, fresh air and a possible battle at any point in the day, yet still something felt off. Something didn’t feel right. Something was pecking away at the inside of his mind; he could almost hear the grating tick, tick, tick, tick, ticktickticktickticktick-“Aargh!” he screamed, clutching his head. A few people looked over, to which Mike replied with a very irritated "WHAT?!" They soon stopped looking.

At that point Mike heard a muffled explosion in the distance, followed by a very familiar cloud of smoke. "Overheat?" He had used the move enough times to recognize what it looked like after it went off. He walked towards the blast, still holding the side of his head with his right hand. "Let's see..." he said to himself. "If they know Overheat, they have at least four badges..." he played with the thought of challenging this mystery trainer to a battle as he made his way to the beach. "He might be a really strong trainer!" Standing atop the small stone wall that overlooked the coast, he looked around for the fight, surprised to see just who it was. His eyes were treated to an explosion of red hair and fine legs, standing tall next to a very familiar looking Torkoal.

"...or he could happen to be my woman." said Mike with yet another sigh.

"Umm..." Robin looked down at the menu as she worried her bottom lip, she really had no idea on what to order. As she looked through she noticed that some of the things had pictures. Deciding that her best bet was one of those she found one that looked good, or at least interesting. Holding up her menu she waved the waiter over nervously. "Umm can I have the one with the rainbow hats?" She asked pointing at the picture.

The waiter was confused for a moment, he had never had someone order little hats before. Looking down at the picture he got what she was trying to say though. "The seafood tortellini miss?"

Figuring that was what it was called Robin just nodded grateful that ordering was almost done. "Umm can you bring lots of bread sticks and sauce for my Aipom to? I mean if it isn't to much trouble..." Robin trailed off as she thought of Luffy goofing off with them. The waiter though didn't seem to mind and just nodded before moving over to Ampersand who had also removed his hat and was trying to grab Luffy's from off his head.

Finally succeeding in removing Hat from a top Luffy's head he quickly ordered Fettuccine Cacciatore as he handed off the menu to the waiter. "Cheeky little brat." He grumbled at Luffy who was making a move towards Hat again. Normally he would be much more laid back but he was somewhat worried about the bill with this pokemon under it. Sure it would be paid no problem but he didn't want the phone calls after wards asking why he had paid 300 dollars in a decently priced restaurant. Taking a deep breath he relaxed somewhat and figured it would all be good in the end.

Leaving the pokemon center Aidan stepped outside and was greeted to the fact that everything was covered in sand. This was the reason he didn't really like to use sandstorm. It messed everything up and sometimes he had to repaint houses because of it. This time though he was determined to not do things on his own. The responsible party would join him in cleaning up the damage. Reaching behind his back he pulled out Gible's pokeball and released her. The small dragon pokemon was looking pretty pleased with herself from her win. "Gible, you know I do not like it when you use Sandstorm in the town. I usually have to clean up after it, this time though you are going to be helping me." Upon hearing this Gible was much less enthusiastic.

That said they both set about cleaning up the mass amounts of sand that had been generated from the battle. Gible was acting like a snow mobile only with sand and going down the street and back with a pile of sand in front of her. Aidan meanwhile, not trusting the rough pokemon with this, was cleaning off the plants making sure they weren't crushed or buried under the sand. It took them a while but finally they finished, there was a big pile of sand off to the side, luckily the damage wasn't to bad and Aidan didn't have to repaint anything.

"You know," Sasha began. "I'm not really su-oh GOD this burger is so good!" She practically screamed as the flavor of the last bite hit her. Despite her wealthy upbringing, Sasha was always a bit of a slob when she had food she really liked, much to the annoyance of her very cultured parents. "Sorry." she said, a bit embarrassed as she lapped up a stray mushroom slice on her cheek with her tongue. She cleared her throat.

"But yeah, I don't really know what exactly is going on. Mike mentioned an announcement by some professor, but aside from that I'm not sure. I think it's just a party with something afterwards." She shrugged. To be honest she wasn't really interested in whatever it might be. She was more than happy enough to just walk around, shop and lay in the sun.

Prickles was still slowly munching away at his meal, not even half finished with the first patty. Sasha couldn't understand how anyone could eat so slow. "I'm gonna have to do a bunch of sit ups after this monster." she giggled.

Ada grunted against the force of Hitmonlee's retaliatory strike, using all her strength to keep herself from being pushed back. When it was over her hands were throbbing and her chest was heaving, but she was still standing and felt quite good about continuing. The Larvitar wore a very determined look and as Hitmonlee took the time to recover she backed up a bit, once again positioning herself in front of Kasiya. "Nicely done, Ada," Kasiya told the Larvitar fondly. She had become so strong recently Kasiya hardly recognized the power that Ada was wielding. When Crenu called out to her, both trainer and Pokemon grinned. "That was Ancientpower," she replied quickly, once again tucking a flyaway piece of hair behind her ear. "And yeah, it has the chance to raise all of a Pokemon's stats, but it doesn't happen very often," she admitted, at first wanting to delve into the story of how she'd acquired the Larvitar in the first place and how she'd been born with the special egg move, but after a moment of deliberation Kasiya decided that if Crenu was interested enough he'd probably ask later, when they weren't knee-deep in battle. Ada continued to stand in front of her trainer, arms folded and clearly ready for whatever would be thrown her way next. She glanced at her trainer, who gave a knowing nod in return and the Pokemon grinned ever so slightly, ready for whatever the duo in front of them would throw at them next.

As the baby Charmander went for another attack Shocker took a dainty step to the side, and as an afterthought sent her tail out in a fairly slow, sweeping motion. The inexperienced youngster didn't see it coming and the Raichu's tail easily knocked her off her feet causing another Charmander-shaped impression to appear in the sand. Once again Nova pulled herself up, now visibly angered. She let out a sharp little growl and took a step forward, spinning rather gracefully on her right foot before hopping once and landing on the other foot, her scaly skin now giving off a purplish glow. Shocker tilted her head in curiosity; she'd never seen a Charmander do anything like that before. Although when the baby came at her this time, she noticed that the lizard's movements were a lot quicker than before and a new determination was shimmering in her eyes. Shocker barely had time to react, finding herself to be on the receiving end of a rather well-aimed Scratch attack and she couldn't help but notice that it seemed to hurt more than the first time she had been hit. Nova wore a rather impish grin, ready to continue her training.

After everyone had ordered Jaeshan passed his menu back to the waiter and leaned back in his chair a bit, sipping on the ice water they'd been poured upon arriving. He'd been a lot thirstier than he realized and the cool water was nice and refreshing, and if he didn't know better he suspected that he tasted a hint of lemon in there somewhere. He looked around the restaurant, wondering where his other friends had wandered off to. He'd been in such a rush to battle with Keegan that he'd sort of left Ryka with that Blythe girl and her strange balloon-like Pokemon. Kasiya had wandered off with her baby Charmander somewhere and he hadn't seen her since, either. I hope everyone is having fun today, he thought, feeling a rumble in his stomach and he silently wished their food would arrive soon.

Ann also leaned back in her chair, studying the other patrons of the restaurant. She didn't want to admit it but the four of them did look strangely out of place and no one else appeared to be trainers of any sort. She eyed her glass of water and pulled the sugar bowl closer to her before adding a teaspoon's worth to the glass. After stirring it she had a sip and nodded approvingly. "I hate how water tastes," she said, answering the unasked question just in case the two kids were wondering why she had done that. "But this is nothing you should see how much sugar I take in my coffee."

Mai and Leo continued to watch the fight with a mixture of amusement and curiosity, but mostly due to the fact that they had nothing better to do. "Hitmonlee are pretty rare, don't you think?" Mai asked idly, her hand still resting atop Serenity's head. The Espeon was stretched out on the bench and was lounging partially on her trainer's lap, enjoying the sun as any proper Espeon would. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the tiny orange lizard provoke her sister's Raichu into a sparring match and she inadvertently smiled as she watched the young Pokemon try to attack over and over again.

"They are, yeah," Leo replied, also watching the battle. "But that one doesn't even look like it knows Hi Jump Kick yet," he added. He was impressed by the two Pokemon's abilities, but he had seen much better in his time as a trainer. Hitmonlee was still relatively weak, if he were to go buy his boss's standards, and a Pokemon that refused to evolve was hardly worth their time at all. He followed Mai's gaze and light chuckle towards the Raichu and Charmander, also smiling at the lizard's enthusiasm. He raised an eyebrow when the strange aura came over the Charmander and he looked at Mai. "That little one appears to know Dragon Dance."

"Not surprising, she got the egg from the Lavaridge Breeding Center," Mai countered quickly. "Most Pokemon that come from a facility like that are bound to have an Egg Move or two." She looked back towards the Larvitar again and frowned, sharing Leo's thoughts on how she would not be useful if she refused to evolve to her next stage.

Needless to say the highly unneeded Overheat that Flannery had called for had done the trick, and the now extra-crispy Dunsparce lay in a blackened heap in the equally blackened sand. The Surfer boy had long since jumped back, and many of the other beach-goers had cleared out of the area upon the sight of the mighty fireball being unleashed. He recalled his Pokemon, leaving a rather humorous Dunsparce-shaped patch of unburnt sand in its place. He shook his head, arms raised up in defense as he backed away from the fiery redhead slowly. "Whoa... you're insane!" he cried, grabbing his surfboard and making a run for it. "Don't battle with that chick, she's nuts!" he shouted, apparently to anyone who would listen.

Flannery, meanwhile, stood with her arms crossed and a triumphant smile on her face. "That'll teach you to insult me!" she shouted after him, shaking her fist. Torkoal had puttered back over to her feet and was puffing out clouds of white smoke, obviously quite pleased with himself. "You were great, as always, Torkoal!" she said, bending down to congratulate her Pokemon. "You never fail to amaze me, you know that?" As she patted the Pokemon's head she couldn't help but feel like she was being watched - and no, not by the already-freaked out dozen or so people who had stuck around to see what the crazy redheaded-girl would do next, either. A light shiver crept up her spine and she plodded back over to her beach towel, lightly brushing away some of the sand that had found its way onto the fabric. This proved to be in vain, however, as Torkoal decided to join her on the towel and brought with him a massive amount of sand. Sighing lightly Flannery leaned forward, resting her arms on her knees and her head on her arms, staring out at the sea. As much fun as that last battle had been it didn't do anything to fill the void in her heart.

"Ancient Power...interesting. I'd say it's time to stop underestimating out opponents, wouldn't you agree Hitmonlee?" Hitmonlee looked back at Crenu for a moment and nodded before looking back at the Larvitar. She had some real strength in that little body, and it made him sick. What was he doing here anyway? Had he really gotten any stronger with this blond guy as his trainer? What, he taught him new ways to kick? So what, he was rarely in any battles and to use them anyway. He was fighting now, but what next? When was the next time he'd be out on the field again? And what was with this battle anyway? Hadn't this Larvitar battled with the weak little tadpole just before? Sure he was weak, but he surely wore her down a little right? He should have gone in there and blasted this little rock creature away already. Whatever, it didn't matter now. He was ready to end this battle with his trainer or not. "Alright Lee, hit 'em hard with Jump Kick!" Crenu remembered Hitmonlee's Jump Kick all to well, he'dbeen on the wrong end of one only yesterday. His chest still hurt where he had been struck, he was just glad that he managed to block most of the impact. They were training before as they were now, so Crenu hoped that Lee didn't go overboard and give it his all. Not only for their sake, but for his own. Hitmonlee was glad to receive a command they he completely agreed with, he was ready to do a Jump Kick even if Crenu had told him otherwise. His muscles tightened as he bolted forward, covering several feet in an instant before leaping up into the air. Taking careful aim at that Larvitar, he plummeted down with terrible speed and force, his leg outstretched and as solid as stone resembling an arrow raining down on it's unlucky target.

Well, the meal was finished in this amiable manner, and after the bill was paid and the waiter began to eye them less than appreciatively for lingering when he had to clean up their table, Sae and M.A. got the brilliant idea that they had overstayed their welcome. So they tipped, recalled their Pokemon (all except for the random Smeargle stalking them) and made their way out of the small restaurant.

"Hoped ya like the meal, Train. And M.A., whatcha gonna do with that Smeargle there? Looks like he won't stop following you unless he finishes his portrait of Tora, and ain't that a tricky task," Sae said with his characteristic crooked smile, M.A.'s favorite.

"I don't know," his sister mused, but giggled a little when the little artist began to drool while spacing out towards the horizon. "I'll let him have a go a Tora later... though I've come to like him a bit, maybe he'll come with me?" The Smeargle appeared not to hear, still staring blankly at the scene but seeing nothing of it; his mind was dreaming of another place, another time, another painting.

"Say, Train, would you mind if I stole my sister away from you? It's been a while that I've seen her, and she's probably gonna disappear again after this Party, so..." he trailed off, apologetic. Not that he didn't like this Train girl - she was a nice gal and all - but he really wanted some time alone with his favorite little girl before their paths went separate ways again.

"I'll see you later, sometime," M.A. smiled mildly, arm already hooked in her brother's. And so the siblings left, Smeargle in tow, towards the shore once more.

The lunch turned out to be as good as Ampersand had promised and had been thoroughly enjoyed by all, especially Luffy who had taken to arranging his face with the bread sticks. At the end of the lunch though Robin had ended up grabbing Luffy who was making a grab for another person's plate and left the restaurant with Jaeshan leaving Ampersand and Ann to themselves. "I didn't know Italian food was that good. Thank you for helping me out Jaeshan." Robin thanked him with a big grin on her face. She was still feeling a bit self conscious about being in her bathing suit though. "Do you mind if we head back to the pokemon center so I can change?" She didn't feel like going back in the water anyway.

Before Jaeshan could respond though two extremely pretty, and for lack of a better word sparkly people approached them. "Oh look how cute you two are!" One of them giggled.

"Oh yes they are very cute together! I bet they have cute pokemon to. Just look at that adorable little Aipom!" The other giggled back.

"Yes we must have a battle!"

It seemed like neither Robin or Jaeshan had a choice in this as the other two tossed out two pokeballs revealing a Murkrow and a Misdreavus. Both pokemon appeared in a swirl of dark colors. Of course they could still refuse the match if they didn't send any pokemon out, Luffy though seemed to have a different idea and jumped out onto the field ready to go.

Robin looked over at Jaeshan somewhat confused at the whole situation. "I am sorry about this... He just does things like this all the time.

"Hmm, I need to find a good pokemon to let you drain your energy on Zeus. But I don't want to hurt any wild pokemon either, what should we do?" Zeus zipped around trying to be helpful, but all he could manage was a a bolt of electricity that shot Jason's hat clear off of his head. "Holy hell! We gotta solve this quick buddy. Maybe a Roselia would be a good choice, it would be resistant to your electricity so it should be alright. Oh but they aren't very common according to the Pokedex..." Said Jason as he fiddled with the Dex looking for local wild pokemon to battle. He had a few in mind that might be perfect for training and draining Zeus of the built up electricity but he didn't know where to begin looking. Maybe he should have taken Alex's offer to battle her Surskit, but that seemed like a bad idea due to the type disadvantage. Granted she had beaten him the last time they battled, but Zeus didn't know Thundershock yet so it wasn't really fair. Jason picked up his hat which now had a small smoldering hole near the tip while he continued to fiddle with the Pokedex unaware that the smoking hat was slowly burning up atop his head. "Hey, wait a second...I know where we can go!" He said with an excited tone in his voice as he laid eyes on the Daycare center that was between Verdenturf and Mauville. "Oi, gramps!" He called out as he sprinted for the center that he had visited so often growing up that he practically lived there. As always, the old man outside with the pokemon where he got a look and the smoking Jason. By now the hat had developed a decent sized flame and suddenly began to burn brightly, which was something even Jason couldn't ignore. "Eh? Crap, my hat's on fire! Ahhhh!" Jason, ignoring all rules he'd even been taught about what do do in such a situation, was now running around in circles as the old man shook his head and sighed. Without a moment to spare a pokeball was flying through the air towards Jason. "You know the drill Mudkip!" As with that, a Mudkip emerged from the pokeball with a stream of water already flowing from his mouth dowsing the dire atop Jason's head.

"You know Jason, it worried me that I'm not surprised by this anymore. How many timed have I had to put you out? Or treat your paralysis? Honestly, who gets their head stuck in a Vileplume's flower?" The old man scolded him, but he did so with a gentle face and a soft voice. Though he was worried about Jason's constant trouble making, he admired his youthful spirit and determination. But seriously, falling into a Vileplume? Twice!?

Jason however was already scanning the Mudkip that he'd been drenched by many a time with the pokedex.

"Mudkip, The Mud Fish Pokemon. to Alert it, the fin on its head senses the flow of water. Mudkip has the strength to heft boulders."

"The first time was an accident gramps, I swear the tree branch looked strong enough to hold a Snorlax....well maybe a small one." He put the dex away and gently stroked the Mudkip's head fin, much to the pokemon's delight.

"And the second time?" Said the old man with a raised eyebrow as he turned back to the pokemon that were being kept there.

"I was curious to see if I'd gained resistance after falling in the first time." He said with a wide grin as he clambered over the fence to follow the old man, followed closely by the still spazztic Zeus.

"Hoh hoh hoh, indeed. I thought you were off on your adventure Jason. Homesick already?" He asked with a chuckle before catching sight of Zeus. "Or are you here for your little friend's sake?"

"Well yeah. See, I gave him some magnets and I think that Zeus here is having trouble holding in that energy. So I was hoping you'd have a pokemon he could battle with that could take the juice. To get rid of the problem electricity that's there and to make 'em stronger so he can handle the magnets on his own."

"Hoh hoh hoh, you've come at a great time Jason, we received a pokemon recently that's eager for some exercise. Tell you what Jason, show me that you're ready for an adventure and the Mrs. and I 'll give you something good. A little adventure in it own if you will. Hoh hoh hoh!" The old man was quite jolly now, his wife didn't let him have as much fun as she use to now that he was getting on in years, but a little training with Jason would be just fine.

"Something good? Alright! Let's do it Zeus, let's get that prize and she the old man who's boss!"

For a few moments Riza and Ralts just stood there outside of the pokecenter, trying to decide what they should do next. At first the thought of going shopping crossed Riza's mind but she soon dismissed the idea, as she didn't have a lot of money (one of the conditions of her leaving on her very on journey was that she'd have to be self-sufficient, which meant she'd have to go without the use of Daddy's credit card, how lame!) and didn't want to be spending money needlessly. After a moment or so the two of them started towards the beach, although this time Riza didn't plan on going as far as she had before, and a small part of her was wondering where that sweet, helpful Marill had gotten to.

Riza was pleased to see that the population of the beach seemed to be thinning out a bit, as most trainers had either gone off to get lunch or had already tired of being at the beach. This made Riza feel a lot more comfortable as she knew that actual interactions with people would most likely be rare. There was still the odd battle going on here and there, but Riza took little to no interest in them and passed them by without much interest. Ralts seemed to get a bit excited every time they came across a Pokemon, but not once did the little psychic stray from Riza's shoulder. After a while the duo came across another battle, although this one seemed to be a little more heated than the previous ones she's seen so far. A small, green and almost lizard like Pokemon was facing off against a rather tall and strange Pokemon with long, strong-looking legs. Riza studied the trainers for a moment and soon realized that the green Pokemon seemed to belong to the blonde girl she'd met earlier. Kasiya, was it? She nodded to herself and sighed a bit. Keegan had mentioned her more than a few times and once again Riza felt that strange pang of jealousy well up inside of her. Her initial thoughts of scanning the two Pokemon with he Pokedex vanished with the arrival of her envious mood, and she sighed again before quickly turning her back on the fight and continuing to walk, unaware of the fact that Ralts was still very much interested in watching the battle.

"Always the good kid weren't you Aidan?" A voice off to the side of him chided. It was a voice that was both very familiar to Aidan and unfamiliar, by his side Gible growled not liking this person at all. "You were always the perfect kid, the knight in shining armor, the loyal samurai who protected his master. You were always so predictable Aidan."

"I am glad to hear you are all right Calder." Aidan said his voice the same neutral tone as always.

Calder just laughed at Aidan from where he was leaning against the wall. "Always so calm, nothing gets past you does it Aidan?" As he spoke Calder's voice got more and more irritated. Pushing himself off the wall he was leaning on he made his way over to Aidan till they were very close. Calder was about the same height as Aidan, which made sense because he was only a month or so younger then Aidan. He had shoulder length black hair which he had tied back into a low ponytail and eyes as black as his hair. In appearance Aidan's clean cut look and Calder's darker more punk look clashed just like their personalities. "Why don't you put your little attack dog away and we can have a nice conversation hmm?"

Aidan didn't say anything at first before he recalled the growling Gible back into her pokeball. As aggressive as Calder was he didn't seem to be in much of a mood for a fight. That was one thing that Aidan still respected about the man, he would always speak his mind, if he wanted violence it would have happened all ready. "What is it that you want Calder?"

The other boy just grinned at Aidan for a second. "You always did listen to whatever anyone told you. Oh well, anyway I am sure you have all ready heard this but were leaving town. I just thought that since we were such good friends," He gave a grin as he said that word before reaching up and running a finger over the scar over Aidan's nose and checks before continuing. " I figured that I would tell you myself."

When Calder ran a finger over his face it took almost all of Aidan's concentration to not flinch away. No matter how hard he tried to hide it the fact that they had done that and gotten away with it still disturbed him on many levels. "I did all ready know. If that is all that you were going to say then I would appreciate it if you left."

Calder's grin just stretched over his face. " All right. I can see that you still haven't forgiven me for that. I just wanted to let you know that you might be busy coming up. I just saw one of the little brats you take care of run past here crying. Don't worry I didn't do anything, no idea why the kid is crying, probably scraped her knee or something stupid like that." With that last bit said Calder swaggered off to go do something or other.

There it was, that word again. Kasiya frowned involuntarily and took a slight step back, averting her eyes away from Crenu for a moment. That would make for the third time in less than two days that an opponent had underestimated her and to be perfectly honest, it was seriously starting to piss her off. Sure, she was well aware of the fact that she didn't look all that intimidating and that most of her Pokemon weren't very large and threatening, either, but that didn't mean that they weren't strong! And she was strong, too. She'd come a long ways from the pathetic crybaby she used to be, and in the past being underestimated like would have made her clam up and back down, mainly because she often underestimated herself. But now, that simply wasn't the case and she could feel the anger and annoyance brewing up inside of her almost to the breaking point. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, her hands clenched into fists that trembled a bit at her sides. She heard the command for a Jump Kick and she smirked a bit. Ada hadn't attacked last round and instead had gone for the full defensive, and she opened her eyes in time to watch the agile Hitmonlee spring into the air. No commands came to mind as the Pokemon prepared to strike, but it was all right. Kasiya knew in her heart that Adamantine would know what to do. The Larvitar also smirked as Hitmonlee flew towards her, and for a split second it looked like she wasn't going to counter or even try to defend herself. As the Fighting-type neared her she simply continued to grin as she waited until the last possible moment to sidestep. She'd misjudged Hitmonlee's speed just a bit and she felt his powerful foot clip her arm, sending a jolt of terrible pain shooting through the limb and radiating throughout her midsection. As much as it did hurt the Larvitar shook it off and growled, pounding her fists together in anger, ready to show these two just how strong she and her trainer really were.

This new development in the battle caused both Shocker and Nova to cease their own little training match and watch closely. Shocker had never seen Adamantine look so angry in the time she'd known the little Rock-type, and without thinking about it she began to jump up and down, shouting out words of encouragement to her teammate. "Raii! Chu! Raichu chu! Rai!" All in all it was mostly just her trying to reassure Ada that evolution wasn't a bad thing, and that a while ago she too had been wary about evolving. Sometimes even now she regretted it, but overall she did enjoy being a Raichu and it made her glad to know that she was stronger for it and also stronger for Kasiya. Not only that but Kasiya's feelings about her hadn't changed and she loved her just as much as when she'd been a little Pikachu. Nova simply looked on in confusion, not really sure what Shocker meant when she spoke of evolution, but she did know that she and Ada were on the same team, so she too hoped up and down, waving her burning tail around as she clapped her hands.

Lunch had been both fabulous and entertaining, due to Luffy's antics with the bread sticks, and after thanking Ampersand the group of four became two groups of two, with Amp and Ann going off to do their own thing, leaving Jaeshan and Robin to figure out what to do next. He looked down at the redhead as she thanked him, and all he could do was smile back at her. "No problem, Robin, I'm glad you enjoyed lunch," he said, although he didn't share her self-consciousness issue as he was wearing shorts and a tee shirt. He was about to give her the go-ahead, as any true gentleman would, but he was stopped right in his tracks by the two very shiny and sparkly... people who'd approached them. Jaeshan had never seen any two people quite like this before and to say the least he was a bit floored by the way they acted, dressed and spoke. He also wasn't sure but they seemed to be holding hands, which oddly enough didn't seem strange for them.

"Err... huh?" was all Jaeshan was able to spit out before the battle challenge was issued. They also didn't get the chance to refuse as Luffy instantly jumped into battle position. He shook his head and sighed before smiling at Robin and placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. "It's okay, we'll beat 'em together, all right?" he said before taking a Pokeball from his belt and sending it flying onto the field. "Let's go, Combusken!" The dual Fire/Fighting-type appeared in a flash of flames and light, clearly eager for a fight. When she saw Luffy standing nearby she waved at him and took up a battle stance, eager to begin.

"Ooh, isn't that little chick just precious!" the one (with purple hair at that...) cried, looking back and forth between Luffy and Combusken with excitement. "Two adorable Pokemon, this ought to be a super-fun battle! Let's get ready to have fun, Murkrow!" The dark-coloured bird nodded its head before giving a flap of its wings and flying up into the air. It seemed to be waiting for Robin and Jaeshan to make the first move.
