-Starts opening random drawers, looking for cocoa powder, mulling what she had said over in his mind with a frown on his face. He had reassigned her to General Cloud for a short while after they had broken up, so he understands her worries. He has no idea how Cross will respond to the news, so he's unable to think of anything comforting to say. Abandons the search after a while and puts a hand on her shoulder.- You can wait until it... feels like a better time.

*Sends Liv a dark scowl, annoyed that she was so pushy about this, nagging after he's been in the same room for a couple of minutes, also searching her brain for a loophole out, words tumbling out before she could stop them*
I must say I have no idea what Liv is rambling on about.
*Feels guilty as soon as she said it, for copping out, but also not wanting to give Liv the satisfaction, in the end her conscience wins.*
But, now that she mentions it...*Takes another sip to buy some time, fighting to keep her face straight and - more importantly - a normal skin tone* Since you've been away for a while, we should...
*Pauses, willing down the burning feeling in her cheeks, searching for something simple, before inspiration hits, actually sitting straight up*
Ah! Considering the possible doom heading our way, perhaps we could spar some time? I could definitely use some more experience fighting another long-range style.

*Measures out a few cups of flower and sugar into a bowl, slowly adding in some of the other necessary ingredients until she's able to start stirring the contents a little more vehemently than she probably should be, though her shoulders untense and her movements slow when his hand falls on her shoulder. She looks back at him and gives him a thankful smile, placing one of her hands on top of his and brushes her thumb gently along his fingers.* Yeah... That would be logical... *Smiles a little bit.* Sorry, I get wound up so easily over things with him... I'm going to wear you out in a week at this rate.

@Cross: If you would really like some I would be happy to. -Reaches over to touch his hand gently.- Before, let me get you a pillow for your leg. I can't imagine it's very comfortable the way it is. -Takes some pillows from the various chairs and carefully helps hip prop his leg.-

It's okay. I knew things weren't going to be easy when it comes to him... I understand. -Smiles at her, although he doesn't really believe his own words, knowing that her relationship with Cross troubles him even more now than it did before. He can only hope that Cross meant what he had written in his letter, and he won't be too upset. Openly, of course, as he can imagine, having been in the situation himself, that it will hurt him a lot.-

Oh..er.. Hadn't really thought about it yet... Maybe next time? I should mentally prepare myself first, of course, should be in the right state of mind to be a proper sparring partner. I want to win, after all. *Grins, memo'ing to herself to get some practice in before, to not look like a complete fool*
