-Zephyrotica- Orphie -Zephyrotica- Orphie -Zephyrotica- Orphie Just because T sells his for that much doesn't mean Owwin should. I could probably sell my art for about 50-100k for the same thing. I haven't had mine priced recently, so I don't know an exact price range. I've already stated my opinion on the price of avi art. It's a drawing, it has no monetary value. I feel bad putting a price on it at all; to put a ridiculous price on it is just absurd. The thing is, Gaia gold isn't worth anything either. It takes time to make, assuming it's not bought with real money. Charging 100k for something that will take you two hours and some pencil lead is really dumb. I don't care how good you are, you have to be absolutely pretentious to want that much money just to do something you probably enjoy doing anyway. I'm not saying I would charge that much. I'm saying I probably could. For people to take advantage of an artist and not pay them enough is even dumber. Tookie, I'd have to say it's probably a good thing we don't know each other. I think we'd hate each other. xDD 'Take advantage'? A real artist doesn't even put a price on their works. Selling a form of self-expression should be a sin. I would be hesitant to give you 15k for art; for anything over 50k I expect polished, CG'ed work that looks like it could be out of a promotional poster for an anime or video game, and moneymaking takes less effort for me than it does for most other Gaia users. I think I would hate all the Cult in person. We're a fairly obnoxious bunch. At least on the Internet you can escape; in real life we'd all be talking over each other or kicking the s**t out of Regulus. You're the only one who would want to fight me, and I'm certain I could take you.

I don't think Kag's art is worth 5, honestly. sweatdrop it may only take 2 hours to draw a picture, but it takes years of practice to get good enough for people to want to buy it. I think a lot of people are right to charge for their art, but not as much as they do. Agreed.

I think a lot of people are right to charge for their art, but not as much as they do. That would only be a valid argument for people who trained in art for the express purpose of selling it on Gaia, which would just be pathetic. I think art should be born of inspiration, not of an order form and a payment. Mass-produced renditions from shops cease to be art, and become just another image on a page; one the owner was dumb enough to actually pay for.

Also, I'm trained in a string of self-defense used to protect women from bigger, stronger attackers like rapists, muggers, and Reguluses. If we ever met in person, you would be on the floor before you could say 'it's on, b***h'.

Mass-produced renditions from shops cease to be art, and become just another image on a page; one the owner was dumb enough to actually pay for. It isn't mass produced though. It is something the buyer wants expressed, but they don't have the skill to do so on their own. It is a mixture between the conception of the buyer, and the execution of the artist. I do think avi art is silly though. I like doing art of original characters a lot more, that way it doesn't feel as mass produced.
