Sil: This is the exact reason I didn't want you to come. It's better me than you. I'm not making that mistake again. -clenched jaw too, but stares at the ground near her feet, not looking her in the eyes-
It's not a big deal. Just a small surgery and some physical therapy once I've fully healed, nothing I can't handle. -props his broken leg on a foot stool, giving her the same story he gave to Lavi and Liv earlier-

*Looks up from the area furthest away from Cross and Sil* Hey Liv. I have a feeling it's going to get ugly out there... *Doesn't mention anything about a riddle to get in the fort. The situation was dire enough to grant her a free pass*

*Lights her cigarette and takes a long drag, her face falling at his words.* That wasn't your fault to begin with. *Says the sentence very quietly.* There wasn't anything you could have done... I should've at least had the chance. *Some odd mixture of angry at him, worried and deeply guilty... Part of her is also slightly relieved, that if he's injured he won't be leaving The Order as much, keeping him out of danger for at least some time... unless something happens to breech their security again...*

Unless you've suddenly become psychic without me knowing, then I won't agree with you no matter how stubborn you are. *Shakes her head slowly.* I'm glad you're back though... almost in one piece... *Sighs a little through her nose, thinking that this is certainly not going to be the time to tell him about the recent news, even if she knows she needs to tell him before he finds out through some other way...*
