That's exactly how I taught that girl. After work (it was late at night) in the cast member parking lot I calmly explained each step and then let her try it. It took a few passes but she got it around the fourth try. It's not so bad if everyone has a cool head. She was so happy to learn how to drive a stick-shift she said she couldn't wait to tell her father.

So, basically, she's telling me that if I don't learn this, my education goes down the toilet, meaning my GPA will drop, meaning NO FINANCIAL AID.
That, and when I could get the car to turn at a stop sign without it turning off, she was like, "LOOK. YOU JUST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT."
"AND AGAIN."
"GREAT, YOU JUST CAUSED ANOTHER ONE."

I felt like the biggest failure this planet has ever seen when I came home.

Unguent - Lotion, potion, ointment, salve, all fit on the same shelf in the medicine cabinet. Unguents are usually sort of greasy in nature.

Today's word is one that is really fun to throw at people - they have heard it before but aren't really sure what it means:
CRAVEN: cowardly; contemptibly timid, dastardly, fearful, timorous.
Ask someone if they are ready to "cry craven" which means to yield, capitulate or give up. You will probably get more yeses than noes.

Blufoo It's a shame you don't live closer to me. I taught a college kid that I was working with a few years ago how to drive a stick-shift using my car. I could do the same for you. I think sometimes teaching someone something isn't so much in the information being given, but in the way it is delivered. 3nodding You should teach me. I has no clue. gonk
